I've used dry film as a solder mask like 4 years ago in a PIC trainer I made, it was a bad idea! Dry film wasn't design for that use and of course, it does not have same properties. When I tried to clean pads from burned flux with solvent, it damaged the film! So it's not heat resistant and not at all solvent resistant. I was so proud, it was a gorgeous PCB :(
Hydrogen peroxide and Hydrochloric acid I have used for almost 50 years after learning about it from a Danish Engineer with whom I worked when I was a student engineer doing industrial placement. He even wrote an article on it which appeared in Wireless World in about 1973/1974 (Sorry I forget the issue number). His name, if you want to look up the article, was Jens Langvad.
Parabéns pelo vídeo! Trabalho com desenvolvimento de circuitos e normalmente é necessário mais de uma tentativa para se chegar a um produto final. Esse método vai agilizar bastante o processo. Muito obrigado e parabéns pela narração em inglês.
My solder mask can not be dry Does it need stronger uv lamp ??sometimes companies says their uv solder mask supported for example 3kw uv lamp can i dry it with a 36w uv lamp but more time??.
Do you use uv blocking ink? Im finding it impossible to dissolve my photoresist because light keeps leaking thru even tho i have 2 transparencies stacked on top of each other
Hi, you need to find out the optimal settings for your printer. Usually there is a photo setting that prints at the highest DPI and results in completely opaque blacks. You can also try to reduce the UV exposure time.
Hi, thanks for bringing to my attention that the links were not working, they should be fixed now. As for the dry film part number, I have no idea, sorry. Happy new year!
muito bem... nao consegui acertar com o sotaque... so quando fui para me subscrever e que vi que era PT. que top e obrigado pelo video. o seu gato e muito fofinho.
I can’t buy from JLPCB because it take 4 months to reach I don’t understand why jlpcb tske so long and buy from China every month and time is 5 week the latest I wait
Tnx for the tutorial. Did something simmilar for my undergrad thesis, but it looked like shit compared to your PCB. Your method looks a lot more professional, so I'm probably going to give it a try.
@@RandomHacks without plated holes and vias and without plated pads you cant make multi layer connections. Use jlcpcb. Dont imagine making a pcb workshop. i made a multilayer pcb workshop for my projects i spent thousands of dollars i can make a 4 layer pcb in 5 days. i left making pcbs at workshop. Because pdcl2 is very expensive.
@@annaoaulinovna I would never try to make a multilayer PCB at home 😅 Even single or double layer from now on I will probably just order them online, as cheap as they are it really is not worth the hassle to make at home unless I'm in a big hurry.

Hi, it could be an issue with the wavelength of the UV, check the instructions of your particular solder mask and see if your UV source has the same wavelength. Usually solder masks dry even with less power UV sources it just takes more time but if the wavelength isn't adequate it might not cure at all. You can also try putting it in the sun.

JLC PCB is good but postage to the southern hemisphere is quite costly.
Humor is appealing to me. the video is very interesting and informative.

Obrigado 😉
Thank you for making me laugh while watching a tutorial about PCB!
Dude is hilarious!

Excellent! Love the humor!
Thank you 😉

That Telly Tubbies' sun brought back disturbing memories!
🤣

Great video, but some of the most important links don't work anymore. eBay is not a real store.
What's the manufacturer part number of the "Dry Film"?

Good video. I'm tempted to try this.
Did you?
Did you mod the laminator to be used with pcb?
Hi, no mods at all, might not work with all laminators though. This was the cheapest laminator I could find at the time.
Hey thanks for sharing this! Great video!

True. Forgot to mention it.

nice video
The equipment you are using are so expensive for an average diy'ers.
cat!
This video was good up until the "squeaky females" part. Why do you hate women?
I don't, it was meant to be funny, sorry if you didn't like it.
