What a great evening for being out fishing and I just love nights like that regardless if I catch or not. I would rather a blank on a nice evening than be pulling in doggies every cast and getting my skin sanded off or 3 whiting at a time without a chance to relax. Great to see the dogs out with you again and so funny to see them dropping balls in the bait. Thank you for putting these videos out there regardless if you catch or not and for mentioning the mental health benefits of fishing in general, take care buddy.
Mate. It's all about the ' Atmosphere ' ( ie the crack) 'Stunning scenery and the ' Boy's enjoyed themselves ' Sod the fish 😅 . Great video kiddo 👍 👌 👏
Sorry. I commented to early....but still say....( just get out there and enjoy the fresh air and your wonderful dog's) . Catching one is a ' Brucie' 👌👏👍👍👍
That's the best bit about it. Eric is bird mad, so I just leave him to it. Their recall is spot on, so I know I can ignore them and get them back from any potential situations before disaster strikes. Jumping at baited hooks was the one I had to train them out of very quickly 🫣
@@theawfulangler I’m sure the hook thing could be an expensive nightmare if not sorted first , mine are just too manic for fishing ( apart from they’re not allowed on the local beach between may and September) 👍👍🤠
Gutted mate was looking forward to the fish off 😂. Good to see you out though a was out the other nyt for about 8 hours and never got 1 knock but like you say it's just about getting out. Tight lines mate 👍
The whole point is getting out and relaxing. I've had days when I've gone out and it's been non-stop action for hours and other times when you get out and don't get a single bite. It's the getting out and relaxing that works for me and as you say it does wonders for your MH. Keep up the good work, your videos are always enjoyable.
Sights, sounds and scenery is what its all about. Great mental health helper. Went for walks along the coast every day/night in the last week up on the SE scottish/NE Northumbria coast. Got to watch dolphins, seals, gannets and watching and speaking to people spinning/feathering for Mackerel off Berwick Pier. Glad you got on the rig sharks smart lights. Best thing I've used since getting back into it. Not so good on a rolling lead mind.
@theawfulangler Saw plenty but never had the chance to actually take one. Had one Barking at me 20ft behind in th8ck woodland. Couldn't work out what we were. Also got to watch something that very few people every get to see and that was one Buck chasing and rutting a doe. I'll ping you some Scenery shots on IG.
Yeah we know 🤣🐷 As we drove in to town the queue stretched down the road. So we knew we just had to go join everyone else haha! Black pudding fritter 🤤
Good to see you out and about dude, just up the road to Sutton is the sea view car park in Mablethorpe. I've had some nice fish out there, and the bonus is a 24 hour car park right on the beach
Not so awful this one after the last couple sessions 🤣. I can't say I put in much effort or mixed things up at all. Just a couple hours by the sea with the dogs and the possibility of a fish 👌🏽
You too mate. Did you manage to get back our before you headed home? Having read some of the reports on the local groups, very quite on the lincs coast just recently. Not long until cod season though mate 👍🏼
I appreciate the sentiments / ideas of self support. It's not as easy as just get out and do it. Always be aware that others may have complexities you may not have.
@@theawfulangler Thanks for replying, had a tough time this year. Lots of physical health stuff going on too, weight loss and muscle loss. Two spells in hospital gall bladder removal, caught COVID while in the first one! I wasn't being big time narky just a little and fired off.
That's more than understandable matey! I hope you're making a steady recovery now? If you can't get outside, try maximising the amount of natural light you can get inside. Just things like opening the curtains opening blinds rather than just rotating them etc. Sounds daft, but humans need nature and its a great at healing too. I'm starting to sound preachy now, I'm not, I'm just keen to find ways that help 👍🏼
@@theawfulangler Well the depression and frustrating insomnia are now teamed up with agoraphobic issues. As I said it's been a tough year. But hey ho, there's always others worse off than me. Stay well and thanks for all the footage.
Very nice evenings fishing even if nothing caught. I had mentioned the Butt to Second section space I had with new Fury on previous video (44mm which meant only 68 inside) which seemed not enough to me, after message from Simon at Akios I used some very fine Wet and Dry (P1200) down the Butt Ferrule on a large dowel and on the Spigot using very firm sponge as base and rotating smoothly. After a few very light rubbings I got it fitting very nice at 91mm in and 21mm spare. My other 3 Beach casters have between 95 and 105 inserted with 15 to 25 spare and two of them are over 30 years old so the Fury should do well for a long time.
No, like I said in the video. Ideal conditions to sit and enjoy it, but not brilliant for fishing as proven. Also they were fairly small tides last weekend which may have explained the lack of casts.
When I blank I've stopped uploading to Utube. Why the **** that is I duno. I enjoy watching any decent Northern bloke with his ball boys catch nay fish😂 I'm On Holderness Coast tmoz and whether I blank or not, I'm updating mi channel(no dawgs tho). Keep the videos coming young fella🎣👏🐶
Blanks are all part of the game matey. It's just an honest view of fishing over here. I'm sure if I'd have pulled out the stops I could have beaten the blank. But it wasn't one of those sessions 😅
I was talking to a couple of lads down there who said the recent blows have really shifted the sands. I'm sure with waders I could have walked out well passed where I was casting. Be interested to know if its always that flat or if it has changed. As its a lovely spot to fish!
It's usual to have 'spare' spigot showing. As the rod wears over the years, the more you assemble/dissemble them, the spare ensures a good fit. I had a few folk messaging me concerned about how much spare spigot was showing on their new furys.
hi alex enjoy your videos mate you have match next sunday with shane you carnt have two people who fish are coast and say king of the coast like shane said should be it’s a knock out winner takes all hope your well mate take care and tight lines for sunday 🎣🎣👍
The king of the coast certainly didn't come from me mate. But when I win I'm happy to take on the next challenger 🤣🤣 I don't think this will be the last youtuber vs youtuber session. I've already fished with Tommy Joe and we were talking about some kind of mini comp somewhere. Which lead to possibly an England vs Wales comp. Who knows where/who's next.
That it certainly is mate. I'm working on some stuff outside of work, so hopefully I don't have to work haha. Short term sacrifice for long term gain...that's the plan 😅
