      Thanks. Yeah I had both the green and black so it wasn't the device. Maybe it's something I'm doing that's draining the battery more.

      I'm on WiFi a lot but am getting over 9 hours of screen time consistently. Your phone's may be struggling to grab 5g. I also did a fresh install on all my phones. When I transfer from another phone I always end up with poor battery on Pixels, Samsungs, and OnePlus devices.

      Yeah I'm regularly getting at least 8and half hours screen on time after a full charge so battery for me has been amazing with a mix of WiFi and 5g

    I think the camera is fantastic. I had the s23 ultra and I think the camera on the open is just as good if not better. As for battery life, I get 7 to 8 hours of screen on time every day. And I use my phone heavily for work and personal use like checking social media and the internet and watching TH-cam and playing games.

    Good information, thanks! One correction though: the OnePlus Open has three speakers, not four. One of the 3 dots is for aesthetics only (can't remember which one).

      Thanks. I think it's mainly the color science they need to work on. The photos on the OnePlus 11 were amazing. Also for content creation the video let me down. But I have to remember I'm not making content for content creators.

    I have and its awesome. I'm getting used to not have Nova Launcher, using gestures and not having folders on the app drawer. I did found 1 infuriating thing about OnePlus OxygenOS though: they remove the ability to hide the pattern screen lock trace line.

    The OnePlus Open was my first foldable and the reason that I traded in my iPhone for the Zfold 5
    After using the Open slab phones just feel boring and compromised. If I had to choose between the two I would probably end up picking the Zfold 5 just because I prefer OneUI even though the hardware on the Open is better.

    Thank you for the video and actually showing how everything works! I’m trying to sell my iPhone 15 Pro Max so I can buy the OnePlus Open. I’m still a bit hesitant as the iPhone always runs smooth, but I’m so bored of phones that I think a foldable would make it interesting!

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      One good thing about OnePlus is they nailed the smoothness. Switching over will be lots of friction coming from an iPhone. So just be careful and make sure you have an easy path to switch back. I have an iPhone too and its hard to switch because of the ecosystem and all the lock ins

    • @consumertechwarehouse

      I think so. After using the fold 6 and the pixel 9 pro fold, it holds it's own. Especially with the extra software features and the anti glare inner screen and less crease compared

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That sucks man. I wouldn't have expected it to take a month to get parts. I think with foldable the best thing to do is buy somewhere where you can get insurance and be able to get instant credit or a brand new one from their inventory. I think going forward, I'm going to mention that in foldable reviews. Thanks for commenting on his.

    traded my s23 Ultra on the One Plus Open. I loved it until I didn't. I was watching a video in the kitchen. I closed the phone and walked to my living room. I opened the phone and it had lines all over it. I called One Plus and shipped it in for repairs. They received it 1-19-2024 as of today 2-9-2024 I haven't heard from them. I emailed and chatted and they keep saying someone will get in touch with me. Like I said the phone is great until it isn't. They're warranty and repair is horrible. They're communication for repairs is beyond horrible.

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That sucks. Typically I would recommend buying from Best buy or something like that and getting the extended warranty it's extra cost but for smaller companies like OnePlus versus Samsung who have a lot more money to spend on customer service, is kind of necessary

      @@phillatella6470sorry to hear that. I came from fold 4 and was looking at the Fold 6, pixel fold, and of course the one plus. After hearing this I’m scratching my head but I’ve always got warranty with my newer phones but they mass produce phones and there may be a few isolated cases but at this point I may scratch one plus off my list. I’ll just have to think about it. I think more carriers should stock one plus to give them more exposure to grow.

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ohh!! I had the mare 20x. Probably the best phone I've ever owned. The real magic with that one was how tall it was. All foldable are shorter so it seems smaller. 7.2 inches at 16:9 looks way bigger than 7.2 inches in a squarish aspect ratio.

    This is a little game that they've been playing recently for phones. All these phones now and the last couple months with these crazy 2800 3,000 4000 nits it's all just changing the method that they're choosing to look at. It's marketing bullcrap. When you look at the iPhone 15, it has 2000 nits of brightness that's rated by being out in full sunlight on auto mode. With android a lot of these now that have 2800 nits, it doesn't have anything to do with the outside brightness on auto mode. What they're claiming is 2800 nits is merely the 3% of the screen that can get up to 2800 nits during HDR content playback, which is far from being 2800 nits of peak brightness outside. My iPhone 14 Pro Max with 2000 nits max, is far easier to read outdoors in direct sun than any of these new so called 2800+ nit android phones. It's kind of pathetic that android phones have started to do this marketing double talk. Apparently it's gonna be a thing from now on. Also There are 3 speakers not 4. 3 For Spatial Audio affect. Speakers sound great to me. Not as much for music but for movies it sounds fantastic and has a good spatial affect.
