The other clarification on the video is that no dead bodies are preserved in this place, as this is a temple ,just like a church , so we don't preserve dead bodies here coz it is considered unholy and is medium of spreading infection. So the burial grounds/ smashana are separate. Temples in the past served as a center of learning presided by a guru and under the supervision of the statue of god, virtually preceding over the education of the concerned student. In addition, they also served as centers where wealth were accumulated in case, there were to be financial crunches in economy in the past( as people revered the gods and temples they wouldn't dare touch it).Further I appreciate the fact that you are curious, however the video rightly stated that it had to be opened with a specific chant. Further the way if praying in Kerala is called 'tantric' way which way more dangerous than the 'maanthreegam' because it requires your physical, spiritual and mental purity to perform such an act, if not, like the video said it bound to have apocalyptic levels of damage just not in the nature, it could as well bring about a war to stake claim of the treasure as it would end up in wrong hands. So it is personally imperative that the final vault is kept intact 😊

Why can't they display all this in a new museum complex next to the temple so that public can see and appreciate it. Also, students of history and archeology can study those. Also, it helps to have an account of artefacts open to the public so that no one will use or misuse it for self interests. It can also earn tourism revenue

    • @shankaranarayanangopalan7036
      @shankaranarayanangopalan7036 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@chi-8289 for two reasons of safety, you never know level of greed human could reach , they wouldn't hesitate theivery. Next question would be, if they wouldn't steal it from temples, the doors are very thick strong and robust unlike a museum door plus they high raised walls making entry and exit difficult. Plus it is a part parcel of the temple Architecture, so it is best left as it was. The apocalyptic disaster that I spoke of are fights, trying to gain advantage of the jewellery and other artefacts. Plus the construction of temple has its own science where specific materials are used for preservation of the jewels and other treasures plus , there is a science behind the construction of the temple in itself starting right from the position of the sancrosanctorum to the position of room of treasures. It is called aagama sastra. Plus it has something to do with overall energy field of the temple created by the positive vibrations associated with chanting of mantras at a specific frequency and a specific pitch will yield the results equivalent to it. So we keep such things in temples to avoid issues in the society. Further there are superstitions that are tactfully used to dissuade People from going in the vicinity of the room( though has science to it ) thus guaranteeing it's safety more so than it would be safe in a museum 😊 please feel free to question me regarding any query related to this

The legend goes that Lord Vishnu appeared in the dream of a devoted King & said that he resides in the forest called Ananthan. The next day the King collected his army & went in search of that unheard of forest but when after a tedious & lengthy search could not find it, the soldiers got fed up with the King & started talking among themselves, 'Here we have a king who follows dreams as if they are real & making us walk the whole place.' But while they were about to return to the palace, they heard a woman in a hut tell her child, "If you keep troubling me like this, I'll leave you in this Ananthan forest" pointing her finger towards a place they had not explored. They went there, found the place & built the temple where God had ordained the King to build it. A city was developed around it & it was called Thiru Anantha puram which is Trivandrum according to the British.

There is a saying that the people who tried to open the door could hear water behind the door. Which is why they stopped trying to open because it sounded like waves hitting the door. Imagine if they open the door and it floods the entire city. Trivandrum is near the ocean. What if that last door was made to seal off the water from the ocean or something similar? Maybe later on the temple was built around it.
Also just a speculation that the door which does not have any latches etc means that it wasn't closed from that side. Maybe all the walls were made before and an inscription and the room was later on closed from above. Or the door was shut from the inside so no latches were made on the outside. So once someone goes in there and shuts it he/she rests in peace forever without anyone from the outside trying to open it.

I am living near to this temple. The treasure counting started at 2011. Still counting progressing. The temple has six secret vaults and two of them had not been opened for the past one-and-a-half century. A major chunk of the estimated treasure was stored in the cellar, coded as A. The preparation of inventory of another chamber B will be taken up later and when the full list is compiled it is expected that the total worth of the valuables will reach unimaginable levels.

    Hello Dad's Den,
I used to work in this temple as a priest an year ago. I discontinued as i chose to go for higher education. Firstly i must say that 90 %of the photos in the videos that you saw are fake, because cameras and electronic items are not allowed inside the temple. Next is that the primary structure that you saw is called is a gopuram and it's made of stone and not gold. Its been painted in yellow colour. Also many of the gold in most of the vaults are still being used for doing rituals in the temple. The major thing is that the B vault was not able to be opened as it is jammed and there is no such thing as snakes guarding the vault. Yes it is said that the B vault leaves path to the under side of the sanctum sanctorium. That is the only reason why B vault is still not been opened because the "devaprashnam" ritual involving astrology said that its would creates issues to the chaithanya "positive energy" of the diety. Please do clarification before doing such reaction videos. That guy who has done the video has not even visited the temple. He is from some other country. Also "darsham" visit to the temple is allowed only for hindus. One last thing. Just do a reality check before doing such videos.

I am from Kerala, just so you know the government hasn't touched the temple. They have left it be as it is a gift from several dynasties to god and should remain untouched. It is under the care of the Travancore Royal family and they have not used it. Also, the temple is open to Christian, Muslims and Athiests or just anyone that wants to visit. My mom was there 44 years ago and says it was very beautiful. The video did say that we used to be poor but note that at this point in time we are a very wealthy state (not from the money of the temple, we're just hardworking people) and also that we are considered the best state to live in according to criterias such as tourism, lack of pollution, equality in religion, cultural diversity, standards of living, education, health care and nature friendly, we also have the least amount of female abortions and the highest female to Male ratio (meaning that we have a very equal amount of both genders) and many other factors. (I mean that we are the best state to live in and not the best state)

One of the oldest existing estimates regarding only Vault B, which can be considered to be at least as reliable as any other made since the discovery of the hidden treasure (or assets) of the Temple in 2011, was by the Travancore Royal Family itself in the 1880s (when an older existing inventory and estimate were last updated). According to it, the gold and precious stones contained in Vault B, which is by far the largest and the only vault (of the reported six) that is unopened so far, since the discovery of the treasure, was worth INR 12,000 Crores in the then (1880s') terms. Considering the subsequent inflation of the rupee and the increase in the prices of gold and precious stones since in general, the treasure in the unopened vault B alone would be worth at least ₹300 trillion (US$4.2 trillion) in present-day terms, without the cultural value being factored in.[80][81] The price of gold in the 1880s, when the inventory and estimate were last updated, was INR 1.8 per gram (The price of gold was about USD 18 for an ounce in the 1880s when the dollar was 3.3 to the rupee).[82] In fact, going by these figures, the gold in Vault B could potentially run into many more trillions of dollars even before the cultural or historical value is factored in.

During the ancient time in India, the safest place to store the treasure of any kingdom were these temples. Temples in south India hadn’t witnessed destruction by Islamic invaders, whereas there were many temples and ancient place in North India which were destroyed by these Islamic invaders, thanks to britishers who came to rule on us, otherwise Indian would be an Islamic republic today.

You are right, would like to discuss the below points:
    1. The treasure belongs to the living deity and it should not be used because it will go to corrupt politicians. India has been always rich but only at the hands of wrong people.
Also it will disturb the secular nature of India thus raising questions about using the money of Masjids and Churches likewise
    2. Vault B should not be opened whatsoever. It is a belief and faith of hindus
    3. The treasure should be audited regularly but not be used and Supreme court the apex court of India should scrutinize this situation
    4. In my opinion, maybe the royal family of Travancore should be given the rights for management as they have been doing so because Lord Parasurama (6th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who consecrated the main deity) entrusted this responsibility to the royal family.

Across the world, the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is renowned for its beauty and grandeur. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it is one of the 108 sacred Vishnu temples or ‘Divya Deshams’ in India. The great King of Travancore, Marthanda Varma is said to have done the renovation work that we see today. It was he who dedicated the temple to Lord Padmanabha. This is an architectural marvel built to last for centuries with some of the most stunning structures and artwork ever seen.

The Garuda Mantra makes the portal into a one-way portal from Earth to Hell while blocking the entry from Hell to Earth. The Garuda mantra is inscribed on the other side of the doorway protecting the door from the direction leading from Hell to Earth.

I grew up in Trivandrum(now Thiruvananthapuram) same city in which Sree Padmanbha Swamy temple is situated. in my student days in the late 70 and 80s we have heard of the treasure , the temple was not having any real guards with all these treasures ,then
I have gone inside the temple only 2 or 3 times to see the deity and the architecture.. It is a pity that non Hindus cannot enter the temple since the temple itself is an architectural marvel and non Hindus(foreign tourists) cannot see that . I personally feel they should be allowed to go inside
In the opened vaults the temple treasures are still there since it is a sensitive mater to the Hindus. and India (or Kerala) being a democracy if any political party do something with the treasures that means they will fail to be re elected since majority Hindus will vote against them so no one will touch these treasures . this was the exact reason why the vaults were built in the temple by the ruling maharajas of that time since if the kingdom was invaded by a neighbouring king he will not dare to touch the treasures in the temple since he believes that god will punish him being a Hindu himself, Trivandrum being in the southern tip of Kerala were never invaded by non Hindu rulers unlike the North India.
The amount of gold and other precious materials have been quantified by officials appointed by the supreme court of India and is left as such in the opened vaults(but one should remember that it is only the actual value of gold in weight but real value will be several times since some of the treasures are centuries old ) . Nobody knows about what is there in the un opened vault and is yet to be decided whether it has to be opened or not. the story of seeing a cobra while trying to open the vault may be true since cobra is a very common snake in Kerala . I see 1 or 2 cobras in a month in my house vicinity.
there will be no dead bodies in the vaults since being a place of worship you cannot keep dead bodies near temples ( just to say that if your close relative dies you cannot enter a temple for 16 days sine you may have touched the dead body for rituals let alone dead body being buried there .). second point is that Hindus in this part of the country do not bury their dead they cremate the body and only ash will remain .
Being a Hindu nobody compels me to worship so I visit temples to see the architecture rather than the usual reason of praying . I personally feel that a very minute part of this rare treasure should be kept in a museum constructed for that purpose so that it will earn valuable foreign currency and promote tourism. Rest can be left untouched

I'm not sure i'll be able to break this down properly.. But being an actual native of TVM where the Temple is located.
The treasure or jewels that was found is said to be priceless. Because it is being priceless, the state government has not actually touched it as the jewels defines the history surrounding the temple and the country. So the entire temple is been protected by the central government making sure that non of the assets gets stolen(even the government has found few jewels already been stolen post verifying the count of the assets they got).
This whole journey of opening the vaults began when the priests of the temple accidentally dropped a metal lamp on the Padmanabhaswamy statue while being cleaned for some rituals. This statue is huge like anything, it seems to look like a statue made out of rock. But because of the incident, some parts of the statue chipped and in the end all the people realized that the statue is not a statue of the lord Padmanabhaswamy carved in stone but the entire statue is made out of gold. Because of which, the government requested to open all the vaults which they tried before the incident.
The earlier attempts became unsuccessful is because people were unable to breath as the oxygen was dropping near and inside the vault for some reason due the way the entire structure was created. Because all the oxygen issues and the myths behind on what would happen after the vault B is been opened. Hence people are scared to open the vault which claims to bring the dooms day when its opened. Some people has also claimed that they are able to hear the sound of the ocean if they keep their ears on the doors of the vault.
