I agree with the moves. They are very important if we are going to transform Grenada into not only a vibe, but a vibrant , organized and clean society. The mistake the government should avoid is sending the message that we don't care about your wellbeing. We just want you out. These people may have started out wrong, but here is an opportunity to be firm, declaring your intentions and providing a reasonable timeframe and even assistance to facilitate transition. Learn from your forefathers; don't make the same mistakes. Sometimes, as leaders, your decisions may not be favorable to all, but must be done, but as much as you can, do it with wisdom and compassion.

Let's be sensible here. We see what's happening with the congestion on the roads. that area must be transformed and reorganize to facilitate an undisturbed flow of traffic whiles port activities is accommodated. my hope is for the government and planning to have a practical plan in place for that. The question is how do you accommodated these vendors and where. we allowed it over the years. It's now all about the damage control. The government will have to provide a paying facility for them. No free accommodation. that I don't agree with. (free)
Tax payers money must not build free facility for business personnel.
The next place is Maurice Bishop Highway. why do we allow this to go on for so long. they started erecting the tent in the morning then taking it down on afternoon. now it's there with items inside. pretty soon taxpayers money have to find free
accommodation for them. If we deal with these problems early, it would avoid these unnecessary conflict.
Port Highways has gone to far.
This is the image that represents the entrance to our Capital. We must do better than that.
We must have standards fellow Grenadians. let's not make this politics.

Congestion on the roads! This happens on every inch of Grenada roads! There is nothing dirty about these shops. You EVER even stop there,?
Same as this nonsense of removing the fishing boats from the Carenage. If there are issues with cleanliness then enforce THAT! The boats are local colour and the Carenage is safe harbour and also PUBLIC WATERS. All you stinking millionaire foreigners you allow in buying far too much property are giving too much push on the government. We want to see TRUE GRENADA not some sanitized Millionaire's version like the nasty comments the Egyptian made about the BEACH HOUSE restaurant when he bought it. STOP allowing these foreigners to influence who you are.

Why is it the government's responsibility to find them a new location? Did government place them there or did they go there on their own? I sympathise with them but at the same time you just can't set up shop any and anywhere like that. The gov't of Grenada over the years is guilty of accommodating such and for too long.

YES GOVERNMENT DID PLACE some of them there over 20 years ago. For sure most have been there 10 years. Dickon letting all the foreigners decide how Grenada should be. You letting in tge Saudis, the Chinese, the Egyptian all telling the government what THEY WANT. THEY are not Grenadian!

How long did this new government got voting in ? Why everything have to be about politics? Keith is the one that started it , yes its all about livelihood but please keep it looking good and not like gettto. To resolve all this is to find a better place why Keith leave his dirty work unfinished I am not about politics I am about what is fair and good for the country . Look at the port trucks they are all over this is they spot why the blaming these people know they will have to move one day . And she is talking about the past government rep .what he had promised.

Even the SOUP MAN been given a NEW BUILDING and then told he will have to move. Roadside vending is part of Grenada history, hustle, entrepreneurship, local colour and culture. Who you trying to change into, Chinese?? Saudis?? Egyptian?? These kind of shops are TOURIST ATTRACTIONS not those places like the Esplanade where all cruise passengers are FORCED to go and shop at the Indian Stores.
