Also, flashing with the Analogue firmware gets rid of the controller LED light when the console is off. Using stock 8bitdo with USB receiver will leave the controller light on even when console is off, just like the Mini NT consoles. Changing to Analogue firmware is recommended for at least the main controller
Nice observation! A bug that someone else pointed out, to watch for, is that after flashing the firmware, when you charge the controller: The Duo will turn on, and the charging light no longer shows on the controller. It still charges, though!
I’ve been waiting so patiently for the duo bugs to get ironed out and this SF2 + mapping cleanly with m30 2.4ghz issue is the last big one for me. We are soooo close 😵💫
Thank you for the test. I test 8bitdo NeoGeo CD controller on Bluetooth, it’s work like M30 controller. About 8bitdo PCE with firmware v5 from analogue, if you charge the controller, you power on the analogue duo automatically 😡😡😡
Once a controller has been flashed, can it still be reconnected to the dongle in the future? I’m thinking about getting an Analogue Duo but I’d like to be able to use the controller with my PC Engine mini from time to time too. Thanks for the video! EDIT: Never mind, just found your other video where you answer my question. (Sorry.)
No worries! I'm glad you found the answer. You can absolutely use them with the dongle again, it is just a bit tedious to swap the firmware back and forth. I literally bought extra controllers instead. :D
Did you try the M30 w/ Dongle, going into the Duo menu with the select+down combo (or whatever the combo is with the PCE pad) and forcing 6 button mode, maybe that'll kick the DPad into working?
Thanks for the video. I am interested in the m30 controller from 8bitdo. For the street fighter it is true that it would be better to be able to use the 6 front buttons but at the moment it is not possible. I have seen on their website that it can be purchased with a USB adapter and with a megadrive (genesis) adapter. It would work for the Analogue Duo if I buy a SEGA adapter. Since the Analogue Duo does not need a USB connector, I could use the SEGA connector on my Megarive. It's right?
I didn't have any trouble with the turbo buttons on these PCE 2.4g controllers, the turbo buttons worked in both configurations for me, right away. Can you describe the issue you're having?
I don't have one of those, so I can't try it. HOWEVER! In some kind of weird twist of fate: I did just recently buy 2 of the Retrobit 2.4ghz wireless Saturn controllers. They come with both a USB and Saturn wireless dongle. I bought them for my Saturn. I will certainly try them and let you know if those ones work! I also have a couple 8Bitdo NeoGeo controllers coming tomorrow. So many tests to do! :D
I watched another TH-cam video where they said "Yes" to your question. My understanding is that once you connect a turbo tap, none of the other controller options are available anymore. So you can do 5 via the turbo tap, but you can't do let's say 3 on the turbo tap, and 2 wireless.
I got the perfect setup working with the 8bitdo Arcade Stick. Check out my video showing it working, and how to configure it: th-cam.com/video/haH4DlQW-Rs/w-d-xo.html

All they need to do is enable us to remap the buttons, and then we'd be good. So close, indeed!

I will try charging the controller, and see what happens. Thanks for letting me know!
My mini controller is my go-to controller for the Duo.
A month later, and this is true for me, too. This is what I play all Duo games with.

I have not tried this! It would be tough, since the d-pad doesn't even work in the menu. If I figure it out, I will let you know!
Have you tried changing the mode of the dpad on the M30?
I have not! What mode do you suggest?

@@retropint thanks
How do you get the turbo buttons to work for the 8bitdo for turbo grafx controller?
I didn't have any trouble with the turbo buttons on these PCE 2.4g controllers, the turbo buttons worked in both configurations for me, right away. Can you describe the issue you're having?
Stupid question. Would the retrobit Saturn usb controller work for a good 6 button alternative? Granted it’s wired but still.

Can you do 5 players using the wired port to the 5 player tg 16 tap with 5 wired original controllers?

What controller do you have to buy to be able to play Street Fighter correctly?
