Dude the time you put in editing is not unnoticed. Thanks for all the info and sound effects. Your hilarious and so easy to watch. Hope to see you at GIE!!!
It's getting to be that time of year when we in the Northern Hemisphere live our lawn lives vicariously through Ben Sims. Oh... and nice 'stache! You're ready for Mo'vember.
I am setting up a small irrigation system with hunter pro spray and mp rotators with a single zone. Just bought a Orbit B-hyve wifi controlled tap timer with smart watering from bunnings for 139 bucks. Got the hunters online. I rent so this is a non permanent solution using sprinklers spikes that can be buried or above ground. I know many people want to at least have a nice front lawn to make their house look nice and for renters or people on a budget this I believe is a good solution. You can also buy additional valves if you want to do a large lawn.
Got some Barricade today (Lawn Doctor in Wangara (Perth), sprayed this afternoon and gave a good 5mm of irrigation to get it into the soil. Here's hoping Poa Annua is a thing of the past!
@@Krishna-d9w2z sure did, gave it another spray with Barricade a few weeks ago. Literally only 2 tiny weeds right against the house came up since the 1st spray, almost certainly because I missed with the spray. Really need to get myself a flat fan nozzle 😁
Great Information Ben! I put down my Prodiamine down a month ago (New York) in hopes of stopping POA Annua this spring in my PRG, I got hit hard with it last spring for some reason, only thing I can think of was the over seed the prior Fall with a Slit Seeder, used Tenacity at seeding but still got a lot of POA following spring even with Pre-M in spring. Hoping it will knock some out come next spring! Thanks as always for another great Vid -Editing - Humor! Chad Upstate NY
Yes big fan of Tenacity/mesotrione, - not sure what I am going to do/use when I seed an area with fine fescue, which label states it is not recommended for
I just got done watching the whole video and couldn't stop laughing from the fart sounds. This is way too much fun. You, Corner, Brett, Ryan, and all the other yahoos are just Hilarious
Hi Ben, Great Vid.... my only question is how much water would I need to add when spraying 100 square metres. I have a 16 litre back sprayer. I know I need to add 30 mls of barricade per 100 sqm and wetting agent per sqm but not sure about how much water I need to mix with or does it not matter as long as use it all over the 100 sqm.
It's OK. I found the info I was looking for. For what ever reason I couldn't get my head around it. I total forgot I would have to calibrate my sprayer to work out water usage over 100sqm. Cheers and keep up the good work Ben
You better be bringing that mustache stateside! Connor, Ryan and you can have a competition to see whos is bigger.... or shorter... whichever is betterp
Legend! Awesome vid!! Thanks mate! What happens if I have 1 bare patch on my 200m2 of turf? Can I still apply the pre-emergent? Just obviously not around my bare spot???
@@LawnTips its probably about 1/2m2 where I got attached by a fungus disease last year and it hasn't finished fully recovering in that one area yet.....ok thanks mate! Your a lawn leg!
Does pre emergent kill the seed or just stop the seed germinating and it's able to seed later after it wears off? Will you need to use product year after year or only once seed bed is destroyed. Cheers, Once again rippa vid
When would it be safe to let the kids on the lawn again after pre emergent or herbicide application. Keep the great vids coming - looking forward to your summer season. 🤙🏻 all the best from Germany
Hey bro! I'm about to seed the front yard with rye grass.. so it's okay to put a pre emergent down before I lay the seeds??? Also which product should I be using
Hahahaha man did that stuff actually make it there? You must be doing something wrong man, when i packed those clippings they were perfectly green.Dont worry though, I know that grass, little fert lot of water it will kick back in no time. Hahaha those are braai tongs mate, i suppose you could use it to pick weeds haha( barbeque tongs is what it actually is) the only thing that i could find suitable for the rugby world cup....

P.s. glad you enjoyed the sound effects haha

The fart sound effects had me laughing harder than I should’ve 🤣😂
Andrew Leece hahaha, I was laughing big time whilst editing it in
Ben, the "weedpullthing" at the end is called a braaitang. In South Africa we use it everyday.
You are the man. That’s all
The Lawn Tools love you xx
Awesome video! The style of your videos are so top notch! The humor had me rolling! Woke up my kids from nap time.

Heading into winter soon here in the states and you're getting me excited for spring. Thanks!

I'm excited about you coming to visit America friend. Been watching you forever brother.
Your soil reminds me of a nice and moisty brownie, looks delicious. Oh yea, the grass is awesome too!

Best video ever....big thanks
so much love for this! got it all down this week! love your work @lawntips
that soil profile tool is cool!
Tenacity can be put down prior to seeding and while you are seeding it works great.....
Can’t get it here in Australia unfortunately. Would be awesome if we could!

great vlog love your work and i live in Sydney getting warm today
Love the stache.
I love a good root -Ben Sims 2019
Glad someone picked up on that 😉
Can you use this on ryegrass/fescue lawns?
Important question. Does pre emergent hurt the existing plants (mango & banana plant) if being sprayed on the soil near the plant ?
Great vid! Lots of good info. My rye season is coming up, can’t wait for the cool weather.
Good little bit of info here! Great video!

Can you do a demo of that Swardman fork aerator?
Thank mate. Do you apply pre-emergent in March before Winter too? If not, when?
Can u do a vid on how your irrigation is setup?
Here is a video I did at my bro’s. My is set up the same 👌🏽 th-cam.com/video/eLN096B_ueU/w-d-xo.html
Are you doing meet ups on your USA victory lap?
kmonnier not sure man? I’ll let you know if we are
Does the paspalum already there just die off and not reproduce? Or do I have to pull out the existing? Thanks
Watching you all the way from Wa state near Seattle In the U.S. keep up the great work!
Nivek thank you sir!
You’re starting to look like a real lawn rebel
Andrew Johnson 😂
Hey Ben, I watch this video at the start of every autumn and spring. Can acelepryn gr be applied at the same time?
If you place pre-emergant and acelepryn 2-4 weeks before a heavy reno, will this affect the performance of the product?
Hey man do you add water to your solo sprayer? Or was it just the wetting agent and barricade?
What about winter pre emergent strategy and product?
Question.
You say two different directions. Would you double the products then?
Cheers
What pre emergent suitable before seeding? Thx
Do you add wetting agent at the same application rate with the pre emergent as you would if you were using it on its own?

Are you going to be available to see your fans here in Utah? Are you going to post dates of where you will be here in the US? Love your vids.
Drone Maddness I’m not sure man!
Nice stach.
Hey just wondering have you got to wait a while before applying any fert after a pre emergent application?
Great video bro ! not long until the GIE now ! :)
Im uk the uk. What would my window be for the pre emergents. Love ur vids, keep up the good work 👍
I'm not uk the uk.

Yew Mate, been loving the videos lately!
Can you explain/elaborate on using Pendi Pro to control wintergrass in kik?
Hey great videos mate 👍👍 got a question layed my tiftuf 2 weeks ago can i hit it with a pre emergent now or should I wait

WhatThe Farkery the seed can still germinate, but it kills it as soon as it does.
Over time you will get rid of the seed bed 👌🏽

Nope, dont do that. Your rye wont germinate

Those are Braai tongs ,proudly South African 🇿🇦
What are they for?
We use it to turn meat on a braai, and braai is like an open fire BBQ 😂
My wife wants to know if you know Curtis Stone.
Evergreen Cottage no idea who that is
Not sure if your shoes were sweaty or your soil profiler is broken , it’s making funny noises !
😂
Last Aussie 😁
Yes... Really useful. People still idolize lawns in 2019. You should grow your own food on that waste of land and water.

You NEED some Mustache Wax bro!
Christopher Berg got some now 😉

I thought that was fake turf at 1st glance. Uh, my lawn looks NOTHING like this - I don’t belong here.
Is the reason everyone has those penitentiary style fences in Australia because the government took YOUR guns away from ya???🇦🇺
Looks like your schools could do with a few penitentiary fences.
WhatThe Farkery ...So that’s a YES???
