Marie did a culmination of everything she has learned over the season. 1. She sensed Maverick’s blood to see him. 2. She sped up someone’s heart to help Jordan. 3. She made blood knives to kill the sup headed for the helicopter. 4. She exploded a body part (Cate’s arm) to stop Cate from touching Jordan.
Same, also her surviving it with pretty much no apparent injury shows that she's somewhere around Maeve-level durability, and we can probably assume the same of Neuman. That has huge Season 4 implications.
For me Cate was a big surprise. She started out as a very secondary character, then a double agent, then a villain against humanity wanting to save her species. There is nothing I like more than a villain with good character development and I think the fact of having lost her arm will help her use her power without having to touch her targets. I can't wait to see what they do with her in The boys s4!

What’s crazy is the thing with Emma implies her size is a manifestation of how she feels. Which would mean she NEVER would of had to make herself purge, it’s just that when she did it she made her hate herself and her powers would activate.

Also her purging shouldn’t even lower the amount of calories she took in if she hasn’t eaten in an hour or two. I think both have a impact on her size.

I don’t think you realized, but when Andre pulls the baton his left ring finger starts twitching, meanwhile the effects of his powers are already starting to deteriorate his mind. I feel like he uses them a lot more than his dad does because he was probably taught and has been training since childhood, because his dad already understood his powers. But when the dad was growing up he used his less because he still had to learn how to use them and start off with the basics

Although not sure how many of them will be in both shows. But so hyped for season 4 of The Boys now! Stellar opening season for Gen V.
There’s absolutely no way Butcher is going to let the fact that Marie has the same powers as Neuman go unused. But you know who would be an excellent mentor to Marie Moreau? The other M.M.
Tbh I persoanally don't really see the shows intersecting at that level. From a story perspective, it would do a lot to reduce the uniqueness of each if they just started full-blown Marvel super quickly. I can see a lot of overlap between adjacent characters like already shown but I think it would be reductive. Rather I suspect them becoming like, contemporaries that fight for the same ultimate goal to bring down Vought that operate in different ways, at different levels. Like the Gen V kids are fundamentally *heroes* first-- there's no way they'd ever ideologically align with Butcher's no-holds-barred methods, and it takes an immense amount of trust for Butcher to even stand being around supes. But there has to be some level of intersection, but I don't think a legit "team up", imo, but they could go full Avengers idk
yeah, if this is in the boys' universe, all of annie january's followers should have seen her video after herogasm. marie could have thrown it back at homelander how he killed practically every supe there.
The reveal of Emma being able to control her size because of her emotional state is so sad. Her mum was making her throw up to get small ( that killed her self esteem and she would shrink) I assume the eating makes her feel slightly better like stress eating so she gets bigger.. Kinda crushing
this finale shook me in ways i cannot explain, the last like 15 minutes of the show was just hit after hit 😭homelander is more menacing than most horror movie monsters. i cannot wait for season 4 of the boys and season 2 of gen v, very happy it seems like we'll at least see some of the gen v cast in season 4. this was a direct hand off to the boys. perfect imo, if only one thing i could have wished for is for it to have been longer bc it wasn't enough for me.
Antony Starr's eyes tell us everything we need to know about what's happened between the Season 3 stinger and now, they have such a sinister and evil look and tell so much with so few words. Incredible performance for such a short scene

You REALLY think the power to control blood from range isnt one of the strongest in the show? Homelander monolouges so much she could probably get away with it before he flew away. Am i the only one crying almost this whole season for Cate? She was my favorite from the beginning and since I know her backstory, I can't be mad at her even now at the end. I really cried when her arm was destroyed and she screamed. Poor girl. :/
She was my fave too… I loved how sweet she was in the beginning of the show… I thought it was a nice twist to the stereotype of the “bad blonde girl who dates the quarterback”, but they had to make her a villain, huh?

I felt from the start Emma could probably control her powers at will but because of how her mother raised her she tied it to binging and purging. It is all psychological for her.
I screamed when Homelander came one, like i was actually happy to see him, but that changed real fast. And its that feeling, the feeling of "yeah superman is gonna save the day" and then the dread when you realize "no, thats not superman. that's homelander...oh sh--". So yeah im loving the ending mostly because of the Gen V cast, the cameos were just the cherry on top!

@@staymadidc well we saw in cate's memories that she was hidden away from the world and deprived of any human contact for years, just like sam. her own mother treated her like a monster. but then shetty came in and acted like an actual mother figure, which meant she could easily manipulate cate into doing anything she wanted her to. cate told shetty and brink that she thinks what she's doing to luke is wrong, because it's hurting him. but they tell her what she's doing is right, and is for the better. cate's parents and brink / shetty are the only humans cate has had contact with since she was 11, so i understand why she thinks all humans are evil. she absolutely deserves sympathy in my honest opinion
I understand her position, but it's all manufactured outrage. The reason why i don't sympathize with it for a second is that in the very 1st episode, we see Cate push a guy into getting in the VIP section and Andre almost killing a woman being a show off in the club. And they kicker is that they were perfectly willing to let that woman die to protect their own hides. It's not about "equal treatment", it's about "better treatment".
I thought this season's Marie storyline was really lovely. She began the season believing that she needed to prove to herself and her sister that she wasn't a monster by being a hero, but at the conclusion she realized that being a good person was all that mattered and ended up being a hero anyway. I'm excited to follow her journey in the future.
The cliff hanger would’ve been okay but mannnn it truly warms my heart that Jordan, Emma, Andre, and Marie are safe … and together!!!! It feels like I can breathe until next season 😩😅
Wow best finale in Boys franchise history! So happy with the wrap-up of EVERYONE’s arcs with a logical beautiful lead-into S4 of “the boys”! I clapped by myself to Marie’s “Scarlet Witch/Phoenix” moment with the blood rising. So happy the 4 all survived.

That was such a great finale to a great season. This show blew all my expectations out of the water, excited to see this cast bleed over into s4 and beyond of the Boys.
I knew one of the Boys was going to pop up at the end but I figured it would be Frenchie, MM, or Kimiko coming in to recruit one of the characters as a C.I.
Pure dread just washed over me when they showed Jordan smiling and slowing walking towards Marie. I so glad they flipped that scene and they were okay.
This show’s brilliance can’t be understated the whole season managed to create two villain origin stories for characters that we can fully understand and empathise with their motivations it’s perfect
I actually really like that during the fight Cate and Marie are still friends. They just don’t agree on what to do at that time. Cate tells other supes to stop Marie, not kill her. And I don’t think Marie wanted to explode her arm, she just wanted to stop her from touching Jordan. If this was marvel or dc I feel liek they would have just done the ”oh cate is bad now and tries to kill all of her friends too” No they’re still friends and Cate even tries to explain that she’s doing this for all the supes, including Marie
Nueman does too she just goes for the head because it's most effective 😂 u see her blowing off her old friend's fingers and eyes in season 3. All it takes for both is to actually see the body part, OP as hell

I was literally so hyped when Homelander showed up that i literally broke my headphones💀. My dad then gave me atleast a 30min speech about how not to get too excited. And then i when Butcher showed up i wanted to jump again but i refrained😅.

I freaked out alot during this episode 😳 like i even thought sam would ko emma....also i love how marie and kates powers evolve during this season....i think kate heard luke talking to sam in his head and i think she controlled the other supes or at least pushed there negative sides, the beds in the cameras did something weird when they let em out...marie is the strongest thing on earth besides homelander i love her progress from having to cut herself to full on bloodbender mode amazing 👏 truly amazing 👏
Totally disagree with your initial reactions to Andre not taking Cate's hand. It was a huge mistake. She never lies the entire episode; she's just damaged and looking for an emotional lifeline. In the long-term it would definitely be an uphill battle convincing her but I think taking her hand would have at least stopped things in the moment and opened up the potential for rehabilitation.
I do have a good question for you guys tho, when Kate made Sam feel nothing, do you think he'll forget how he feels about Emma??? Besides that I'm with you guys 100% that was one of the BEST Season Finally I've seen in awhile. It checked all of those boxes you need action, drama, danger, suspense while leaving you wondering what's coming next! # Team Marie/ Blood Bender ha ❤

I sympathise with the overall agenda but not with Cate. Because she was the one who helped in capturing innocent supes, was the reason for Luke's breakdown and him offing himself and is now controlling innocent supes again and manipulating them to get killed or to hurt others.
Cate doesn't deserve sympathy in my mind , other kids like Sam do
@@staymadidc well we saw in cate's memories that she was hidden away from the world and deprived of any human contact for years, just like sam. her own mother treated her like a monster. but then shetty came in and acted like an actual mother figure, which meant she could easily manipulate cate into doing anything she wanted her to. cate told shetty and brink that she thinks what she's doing to luke is wrong, because it's hurting him. but they tell her what she's doing is right, and is for the better.
cate's parents and brink / shetty are the only humans cate has had contact with since she was 11, so i understand why she thinks all humans are evil. she absolutely deserves sympathy in my honest opinion

I understand her position, but it's all manufactured outrage. The reason why i don't sympathize with it for a second is that in the very 1st episode, we see Cate push a guy into getting in the VIP section and Andre almost killing a woman being a show off in the club. And they kicker is that they were perfectly willing to let that woman die to protect their own hides. It's not about "equal treatment", it's about "better treatment".
I thought this season's Marie storyline was really lovely. She began the season believing that she needed to prove to herself and her sister that she wasn't a monster by being a hero, but at the conclusion she realized that being a good person was all that mattered and ended up being a hero anyway. I'm excited to follow her journey in the future.

That was such a great finale to a great season. This show blew all my expectations out of the water, excited to see this cast bleed over into s4 and beyond of the Boys.
I knew one of the Boys was going to pop up at the end but I figured it would be Frenchie, MM, or Kimiko coming in to recruit one of the characters as a C.I.

This show’s brilliance can’t be understated the whole season managed to create two villain origin stories for characters that we can fully understand and empathise with their motivations it’s perfect

I actually really like that during the fight Cate and Marie are still friends. They just don’t agree on what to do at that time. Cate tells other supes to stop Marie, not kill her. And I don’t think Marie wanted to explode her arm, she just wanted to stop her from touching Jordan. If this was marvel or dc I feel liek they would have just done the ”oh cate is bad now and tries to kill all of her friends too”
No they’re still friends and Cate even tries to explain that she’s doing this for all the supes, including Marie
best episode so far. what i find interesting is maybe marie could be stronger than neuman since marie can have control on what to explode
Nueman does too she just goes for the head because it's most effective 😂 u see her blowing off her old friend's fingers and eyes in season 3. All it takes for both is to actually see the body part, OP as hell

I freaked out alot during this episode 😳 like i even thought sam would ko emma....also i love how marie and kates powers evolve during this season....i think kate heard luke talking to sam in his head and i think she controlled the other supes or at least pushed there negative sides, the beds in the cameras did something weird when they let em out...marie is the strongest thing on earth besides homelander i love her progress from having to cut herself to full on bloodbender mode amazing 👏 truly amazing 👏

Totally disagree with your initial reactions to Andre not taking Cate's hand. It was a huge mistake. She never lies the entire episode; she's just damaged and looking for an emotional lifeline. In the long-term it would definitely be an uphill battle convincing her but I think taking her hand would have at least stopped things in the moment and opened up the potential for rehabilitation.
