When I first started the job I have now, I was killing it because of the jump in income. However, when you on it get a 2-3% raise every year, and inflation leaves that in the dust. And every year, my money doesn't go as far. The last four have been the worst. To the point where I can't feel comfortable making any less because I don't know where it ends.

If we got back to a rational interpretation of the Constitution, and subsequently dramatically reduced the size and scope of the fed gov, this and most of our other problems would fix themselves. The General Welfare clause at the beginning of Article I, Section 8 was never meant to make the fed gov omnipotent/unlimited, and it's irrational to think it assumes the enumerations in that section, as well as the 9th and 10th amendments to be superfluous.
