Thanks for the factual review. Those are always the most useful reviews. Rockler always seems to make things as inexpensively as possible to keep the price down. In this case they went with inexpensive proprietary manufacturing but decided to overprice it.
I have to agree with you david, i wanted to say that i loved this unit but i simply cant... It has the build quality of something that should have cost $300-$500, definitley not $1000+
Hey. Since it’s been 11 months since you’ve posted.. has your opinion changed at all after using it for a longer period of time ?? I hear ya with it be frustrating for little add ons to complete but it seems every company is doing that really. If you were to get the table at discount, would it be worth it? The next best thing would be to have upgraded to the steel table top and cabinet. That is way more expensive router table though. Would love to hear an updated review from you though.. thanks!
Thanks for reaching out, my opinion on this unit has gotten worse with use. I would not recommend it to anyone for any price. The dial that is used to adjust the height wanders with the vibration of the router which recently screwed up one of my projects. Not a fan
I bought the stand by itself. I never assumed that a paddle switch would come with it. I guess it would be different if you bought a pre-packaged kit that included the lift, dust collector and fence and table top. One thing about Rockler is that they will get you on the price of the accessories. A set of locking casters runs $50 on the Rockler website is just silly. Amazon had them for $25.
Thanks for sharing. It's a nice table with some good features but seems way over priced for what you get. For the price you paid you should not have had to deal with any of those issues.
I just bought the table. I put it together haphazardly. Who needs directions right? I assumed everything would just square up pretty quick. Not so for me. Took a bit of adjusting. Not a bad table. I'd wait for a coupon or sale.

Glad I watched this before buying the lift. I got a router table on the way. Hope it has all the parts! 😬
I hope it's got everything too, I've had continued issues with this lift.... Try to find a different one
I just screwed those leveling screws into the plastic and it worked.

@@hastingb yeah you've got that right, Menards also has casters for way cheaper
Why is everybody buying high priced lifts and routers, vs. The Triton router that has a lift? Am I missing something? Or are others?
Good question

I completely agree, it seems that this should be half the price of what i paid for the quality of materials used. Im pretty disappointed in rockler

I also had to do several adjustments to get it close to square, did yours come with all of the hardware at least?
