    Hi Roman Guy- Great Video and tons of useful info,- I am visiting mid November.. Question - I have booked an online skip the line ticket at 28 Euro per person. I think this is for Vatican and Sistine chapel ticket. Are these 2 from one single entrance? 2nd question - The museums u mentioned in this video- Is there a separate ticket u buy or are they free. Will greatly appreciate your reply or from some viewers. Grazie - Luv Rome

    If you have the time do not try to combine the tour of the Capella Sistina with the Vatican Museums. And, visiting the Vatican Museums at night is fantastic and less crowded.

      Hey! Your Vatican ticket should cover all of them. The only separate ticket is to go up St. Peter's Dome.

      Most of those statues you refer to are from Greek and Roman cultures that predate Christianity and Catholicism by as much as a thousand years. But yeah, the earlier tribes got their freak on...

    Happen to be in Rome late Saturday and leave early Monday. What kind of options do we have on a Sunday to visit The Vatican? Love the videos

    • @TheTourGuyVids
      @TheTourGuyVids  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grazie Jake! On Sunday you can still visit St. Peter's Basilica. Depending on how much time you have Saturday and Monday, you can perhaps still squeeze in a tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. We have tours as late as 2:30pm on Saturday, and as early as 7:10am on Monday (ends by 9:10am)! :)

    I wish I could see the Sistine Chapel like that, without all those crowds of people, you can't enjoy it 100% with all that people speaking and making noise.

    • @xxMary89xx
      @xxMary89xx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      wow, I didn´t know about those tours, when I was there I entered with the normal vatican museums ticket. Thank you! I wish it was in Spanish too, but English is not a problem.

      I've been lucky enough to have this experience. I had it to myself for about 1/2 hr. I was there in Oct. and made sure I was at the museum's door 1/2 hr before it opened. It was just me and a sleepy guard. Maybe try going to Italy during an off season month like Oct or Nov.

      Mar d off topic ☺️ What was the temperature in October? I’ll be visiting this yr in October my second trip to Rome.
      I first visited in May of 2018 the weather was super hot 🥵, not ideal for all the daily walks.

    I am confused. You say that the pine cone was taken from the Pantheon when it was ripped apart and used for scraps. I know the Pantheon is still there! What gives??

    • @TheTourGuyVids
      @TheTourGuyVids  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Pantheon you see today is very different from what it was. The building was mined like a quarry for bronze and marble. It stands and is easily the greatest standing structure from antiquity, but it was definitely quarried for some time. It is a shame, but times were tough and we'd all do the same to feed our kids.
