Gaius Claudius Glaber is dead. The rebellion has swelled to thousands of freed slaves, and Spartacus, alongside his generals Crixus, Gannicus and Agron, prepares for war with Rome.
The Roman Senate turns to Marcus Crassus, a wealthy, strategic politician, for aid. With a young Julius Caesar as an ally, Crassus must crush the rebellion.
The epic conclusion of a legendary journey, "Spartacus: War of the Damned" unleashes a battle unlike anything ever seen before.

so sad, that this is the final season.... this show can go on for 20 seasons & it will still be awesome. Spartacus, The walking dead & Game of thrones... best tv shows ever
just love to hear steven talk about the series
You are a completely genius, Steven!
Very cool, can't wait for the rest!
A fine introduction to War of the Damned, gone are the scheming within the House of Batiatus and the encapsulated focus in Capua and it's politics. Spartacus is now the leader of a community of rebels fighting a full scale war against the Roman army and the scale is much bigger. Crassus is a compelling antagonist, he will not underestimate Spartacus that's for sure. The scene is being set for a huge conflict with the two that will involve the city Spartacus seeks to take over.
Awesome, can't wait!
Marcus Licinius Crassus, the real one, many centuries ago, was not a real soldier on the front lines of battles. Marcus Licinius Crassus defeated Spartacus with money, betrayal and deceit, three things he was a master in, and behind strength of numbers as well, the real soldiers. He did not face Spartacus in the field of battle, though it appears that is what Steven S. DeKnight will do in this final series of Spartcus. I cannot wait for the 2nd episode!
remember what asher said, 'slaves yes, but far from common:) gannicus slice and dice 7 or 7 when he kidnapped glabber's wife, and a couple of times at least spartacus killed 6 at one time even before he became a gladitor
I always thought Olivier owned the role of Crassus but this guy is owning it too.
I live in argentina and starz is not available in my chanel list from any satellite or cable, how can i watch the episodes?
This is a depiction of what happened at that time, i would expect it to be of a certain level of realism.
can you buy it? I have all of them..good luck
Beholder505, let me tell you one more important thing that people seem to misinterpret completely. Spartacus and his rebellion committed many atrocities, murder... They did not only kill romans, but rapped women, killed children, tortured people of all ages, ravaged villages, et cetera. Spartacus may have been a good person, who knows, but certain facts prove him to be a very bad one indeed. He could have escaped to his homeland instead of entering in many battles - a very interesting fact.
You might want to watch the video on YT called Spartacus Fighting the Roman Empire. They said there that it was Crixus murdering and raping people during the battle and Spartacus stopped him. However, since most everything about Spartacus was speculation, no one really knows what happened, just that he fought a war, defeated legions and was defeated by Crassus. The details of the story are lost to history.
con el paquete Moviecity. La transmiten los Sábados por moviecityplay(punto)com (hay un periodo de prueba gratis de un mes si haces login con Facebook), y los Domingos por TV.
I can take Liam's Spartacus seriously. They should bring a more serious Crixus into the picture. The kind of Crixus that was in Season 1.
For those who keep whining about the blood and sex, I have one question? Have you not watched this fucking series from the beginning. If you don't like blood and sex this isn't the show for you because while DeKiight tells a good story he doesn't water down decadence of Rome. It's actually rather realistic, for the Rebel army its eat, drink and fuck for tomorrow we die kind of thing.
Crassus is obviously off his rocker. If you couldn't figure that out... *sigh*
Hi. So you are saying Spartacus of SSD direction does not tell the truth - what really happened with Spartacus and Crassus. From what I read, Crassus really defeated Spartacus with money and deceit, but obviously it did not take him millions of sesterces or gold, A roman in command of an army at that time had access to a vast amount of money/precious metals, and of course the roman military power, with which he defeated Spartacus. Spartacus could have won if he were a better military tactician.
A roman like Crassus would never use a counter hes not confident about, that move back there is ridiculous, actually the entire thing about Crassus having a deathmatch with the champ gladiator is ridiculous, something an elite Roman will never attempt. And comparing UFC to sword fighting is just smart, really.
PLZ MORE ROMAN SERIES AFTER SPARTACUS
I have seen great UFC fighters and pro boxers getting knocked out by one hit or even break their own limbs while exchanging regular blows. People make mistakes, plus sometimes it's not just skills and knowledge, but rather cunning and luck that win the fight. Anyway, this is a show and to be honest I think you could of picked a better scene to bitch about.
He was clearly confident in all things on this episode. Plus it's no more ridiculous than "Gladiator", when the emperor fought the champ. Yet, it's a fucking fictional show based upon real characters and events. If the show was to portray the exact foot steps of everyone, it would be drag out and boring as fuck. Look up the definition of "comparing" because I just use modern day fighters as an example of how simple mistakes can still be made by those who have mastered the art.
Kristen from G4TV!
The counter by Crassus is not realistic, u mean a top top gladiator like Hilarus would lose grip of the sword that way??
@Diego ZatonI tv-links
Wrong. He was a military commander under Sulla during his civil war. This was before he had any money. He was broke at that point in his life. He didn't make his wealth in Real Estate speculation until later.
I did not say Spartacus was not a good tactician, he was a good tactician, but you sound like you fought side by side with him to make such claim. Historians know almost nothing of what really happened with Spartacus and his blood brothers to say he was a brilliant tactician as point of fact, just by interpreting certain events that took place, that's all. Spartacus did not carried historians/writers with him to make note of his achievements... He faced a more intelligent opponent and lost.
No Steven, although Crassus is quite to be taken more seriously than other Romans, he cannot match the Thracian. Crassus had the advantage of a more numerous army and better armed but as for the man himself, no. Spartak was the most splendid fellow in his time. Had he had the means of a better equipped army and which it didn't divide and it would be well fed, he would had taken Rome certainly.
What? Spartacus was an amazing tactician. He didn't defeat legions upon legions and run free in italy for 2 years by brute force. Being a brilliant tactician is agree'd by all military historians. That said, his army defeated themselves by dividing themselves. And what is SSD?
Wait, what? Something on television isn't 100% realistic? Oh gosh, my world is destroyed.
Didn't like that much the 1st episode. The fights It's kind of a Steven Seagle movie! The scene when Spartacus, Gannicus and Crixus go to kill Cossinius and Furius at their camp I find it hard to believe. I mean they go fight, butcher, slaughter, decapitate by themselves at least 15 roman soldiers without a single scratch! I know they are well trained and all but the producer of this show made the romans look like little kids wielding a sword, they scare nobody anymore.
lol
First! :D
no one gets a shit about the sex its old get on with the story and more fights
Terrible episode. What happened to the tension that Blood and Sand and Gods of the Arena had?
Less porn----more fighting....only good scene was when the way they killed the gladiator!!!
lol
