Honestly it's just such an emotional song...I'm glad that they took this approach to a live performance, the way they looped and multi-tracked for the album makes it really hard to pull off, but Vessel and the singers nailed it.
I saw them in asheville, and its the best concert ive ever been to. Fans are quiet because they truly just want to hear and witness and be wrapped in sleep token. One of the few bands that is better live than in studio, and they are incredible.
I love that he doesn’t sound perfect. Something different in the music scene. Everyone is so pitch corrected live and he’s absolutely killing it not being absolutely on key. I love it.
My comment was in no way a dig on the vocals. It was a compliment. Most bands are pitch corrected/auto tuned during live performances as of late. So hearing how good he sounds and even when he isn’t, it’s refreshing knowing he can actually sing. And those imperfections almost make it better. I’m 31, so I guess I’m old now. But things like this make me happy.

Without having been there, I feel it's part of the performance. It's clearly a song that means a lot to Vessel - the emotion isn't faked, but it is controlled. He's still singing the melody; he's conveying the emotion - he's allowing it in - without it compromising the performance. I hope to see them live one day.

Best song ever. I went through something similar to Vessel…. I had my “Eden” That I still wish I could go back to. Hearing this song live after everything I’ve been through… it’s bittersweet. It’s a journey of heartbreak and realizing my self love and worth. This band picked me up when I was down and I will forever support them.
I really fucking appreciate that he don't use (or I don't hear) backing vocals played from a laptop; it's just only his voice and the backing singers. That makes him very authentic.
