This is a interesting lyric that could be interpreted in different ways. Personally I think he is referring to it belongs to "Sleep" (Huina) and giving her that sort of venerance.
Sir, I dont normally comment on youtube videos. But let me say this. You took Sleep token, a band i have a deep fondness for, and you took one of my favorites by them, and you turned this into a whole new masterpiece. i dont care what anyone here says. This song was a masterpiece already, you made it a masterpiece adjacent and i am truly blown away. Please never stop doing this. Ever. You have made a fan out of me.

This is my favorite song and this version adds a layer of emotion that I didn’t think possible and it’s the simplicity in which the orchestra is composed. Bravo good sir this was an amazing job keep at it

Welcome back Evaj! I’m so glad you enjoyed this one! The end was fun to do as I used some glass instruments to add to the distant nature of the tonality. The additional voice was interesting to implement too as I didn’t want it to overshadow Vessel’s vocal melody but felt the female voice added context to the lyrics happening in the outro.

Yeah I felt that the beginning needed something light to emphasise the delicate piano melody as to not overwhelm it and felt the nylon string guitar was an adequate and appropriate addition dynamically 🖤 thank you for listening and thank you for your support - It means a lot!
This reminds me of being alone in my room, listening to the Comatose album by Skillet in the mid 2000’s. I went through some pretty bad trauma inducing stuff for a long period of time around then, and one of my only escapes and releases was listening to that CD on my Sony Discman. Euclid already gave me hints of those memories to begin with, but this version bridged the gap. Thank you 😭

Hi Samurai Owl! Unfortunately the orchestral accompaniment doesn’t sound much like the original on its own as I try not to double the notes the band play. So I’d have to go back into the project and delete the band and add them back in as orchestral elements which would be equally as time consuming 😅 if I have the time someday maybe I’ll do fully orchestral versions.

Unfortunately I’m not allowed to because of copyright. If I were to re-record the band myself and do a full cover I’d be able to purchase a mechanical license to do so but then it wouldn’t be as good as the original… it would be very hard to find a vocalist that even comes close to what Vessel delivers.
That's real. I wonder if Spinefarm would let you pay a fee and call it a sample? The distribution site I use does that as long as it's credited.
