We could be saying the Lakers got lucky last year making the WCF just being a play-in team. I would trust the Mavericks more than the Lakers at this point with Lebron getting older, AD's injury history etc. Mavs have a higher ceiling at this point. Now whether this translates to the Mavs going to the WCF in the competitive West next year we will see.
