Ive got a m135i with stage1 and its rwd,manual. I love it and its my second car. It has alot of character and the straight 1 sound with catless downpipe with just the backbox left

Agree everything with you, but the clutch is not light or easy as you said: during town driving or stop&go it can be a bit annoying as it’s pretty hard to press and also has high pressure during release of the clutch. But for sure one the highway and at speed between 40-120kmh it’s pretty fun to operate
@@DjNikGnashers Cool, no problems with running lean at the top end? I had to fit the DORCH engineering stage 1 fuel pump. I had several limb mode occurrences on the Autobahn in 6th gear. The pump fixed it… but I think it‘s quite an extreme scenario for most users. :)
@@BaeHarrier I have had two instances in a few months of the new setup, with the warning coming up on the dash, which I think must be attributed to the fuel pump running out of steam. I might just fir a B58tu HPFP for safety.

I don't know what you mean, we had the same gearbox in our 1 series and it was insanely much fun. And it autobliped in Comfort aswell. We now have the new 1 series because of a big discount and its gearbox is really annoying compared to the F20. I guess it has to do with preference aswell, for me the F20 manual gearbox is ideal.
Seriously guys, this car is the best deal you can get at the moment, if you're looking for a real drivers car! You get one of these (low-mileage, manual, three door (F21)) for around 25k here in Germany. I really can't think of a better car for that price tag.
I love this car so much but they are incredibly rare. You have no idea how special the sexy two door 140i with a manuel is until you start looking for one. Currently NONE of them from 2018 for sale in Germany.

I am obviously not doing the kind of speeds AutoptopNL is doing on the Autobahn, but I can tell you from experience that even at 250kph you are simply paying so much attention to the road in front of you that you can't really be afraid, I find it actually quite exhausting to travel that fast. Moreover, I think that as soon as you become afraid, you'll hit the brakes anyways.
@@ragearts5013 @restore I own the m235i with mperformance suspension (basically the pre model to this currently 326hp as the m135i shares same stuff) and must say everything above 230km/h requires alot attention just as you said. 260 km/h at traffic like this is a bit madness, but sadly Autotop only gets certain cars during some hours. Honda Type R (recent model) had a better suspension setup so that 240 km/h was the limit after which it no longer was a "tourist drive". And yes as soon as you see anything suspicious or get a bad feeling you automatically go down from throttle which reduces speed by 10-20 km/h before you hit the brakes. Remember me to make an resume once im done with my mods in a year including 430hp flash / vmax limit off so i can give an better review of these speeds in an bmw :P
Well its safer to go fast. When you travel at 180km/h, thats how you learn to drive. Done 250km/h, its a very dangerous speed and should only be done with not much traffic. It all depends on the car
It depends on the car. BMWs are built like tanks, rwd based and setup for high speed driving. 240kph in my e61 felt easy. Other cars feel like they will rattle apart at that speed

sachs clutch upgrade and shorshift can make the BMW gearbox much more fun, thats what i did on my e91 325D N57. 370hp/700nm

I have a 2017 M140i auto, mapped to 411bhp/576nm and it's very quick. I do worry about the ZF8 gearbox if I tune it any higher.
Well, it's now 455bhp/634nm and brilliant.

I miss my 3dr Estoril Blue M135i Manual. Currently drive a DSG Cupra 290 (2019) and while the performance is roughly the same it's just not as good.
