    I have a 825 FICO and man they tried this with me I just laughed. I wouldn’t let them run my credit and they weren’t happy with me. I had my finance in place.

    Sooo Kimberly. Just today went into a dealership to get an idea of what to expect to purchase a vehicle in 5 or 6 weeks (Dec 17-29) and after taking the vehicle for a test run and informing the sales lady I wanted to put between $8K-$9K down she came back with 3 options (all over 600 "comfortable) at 72+ months. The price coincidentally had changed from the day I inquired to when I went in $388 more! The 3 different scenarios she showed me only had payments and not interest rates attached. Are both these practices "normal" and on the up and up?

      Hi @iceman2.0 ! Yes, that is normal as they are showing you "ranges" based on a going interest rate because the Finance Manager has not sent the deal in to lenders yet to obtain an Approval. Don't sign authorization to pull credit (credit application) until you're ready to move forward. Pro tip - you can always 1. Ask what rate they're using in showing you the range and 2. If you are aware of what rates are and your credit, you can ask that they show you a range with a certain interest rate . ✅ Thanks for being here!
