The projects you have created for the 2 women in your life (and home renovation/restorations) prove just what a wonderful father and husband you are. That you are a gifted craftsman is beyond reproach. Please continue sharing your amazing skills because they are so appreciated by so many. I hope you don’t let some of the absolutely crass and ridiculous commentators (what they woke up for is questionable) change your mind about posting your incredible talent(s). Waiting for your next genius creation!
I love watching these "What on earth is he DOING?" videos unfold. By the time the two unicorns arrived @ 9.04 I was even more confused. When the third illuminated arrival appeared, it all made PERFECT sense....
The fact you can design such a project in the first place is amazing , but then work how you will make it and produce the finished item. Well what more can I say other than bless you and your family . Kind regards as always
Superb! What a lovely thing to make for your daughter. I always love making unique things for my children - a jewelry box for my daughter or a box for my son's karate belt. Even though they are now 16, these hand made things will always be special.
You must have gotten loads of brownie points for that 🙂 well done! Ever think of building Tiffany a dollhouse, mini replica of your own house. Another great build.
She doesn't fully grasp just how awesome her dad's talents are--you can't when you are very young. But once she has her friends over for sleepovers and they see her one-of-a-kind toys, and those friends impress upon Tiffany how much they LOVE these personalized things...she'll start to get it. Her dad is AWESOME!
Great Dad! Tip, for those trying this, make sure to do the acrylic design in reverse, so the engraved side (reverse image) faces the back and smooth side is front. Only applies to transparent acrylic.
Russ, this is beautiful. May I use this for a project for my 5 year old granddaughter. As usual your work and showing how to do it are always perfection. I love how you explain everything. I would have never. Thought to bunch up the leds but when you explained it, I got it. Beautiful work my friend. Waiting patiently for next video
In the beginning, I thought to myself, "what on earth is he making?" Then, like all well thought out plans, it came together. Well done on a great project. Next, I thought, what comment can I leave here. I read some of the comments left by others then it came to me. Jesus, there's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. I agree, the females in your life are indeed lucky to have such a thoughtful caring inventive husband and father. So I decided upon something simple and to the point. "Inspirational" is my comment. Thanks fella.
A fine piece of work. If it wasn't a one-off I could see a business opportunity here. Also, I'm guessing pink for the colouring in... Thanks for another entertaining video
Yeah, sorry mate, I'd want to colour in the nice walnut too. And I'm a sixty year old bloke. Ahem. Maybe some white and pink - green - yellow enamel paint highlights? And couldn't your thicknesser do with a run off/extension to stop your nice work falling on the floor? I guess more space is needed? I still have workshop envy!
First you are lonely, then comes a wife which becomes the boss and afterwards - if you are lucky - there will be an other mini boss with most emotional power to you. I felt your urge to do that project. Obsolete to praise, as you are a perfectionist. Warm congrats, mate!
If you fold and overlap your LED strip, wouldn't that make the cooling solution basically useless for the ones not the first LED? I guess the wiring will dissipate some of the heat but the diode itself would be the one getting the most hot and it's practically dangling.
Awesome project as always- its really just a joy to watch you being so precise with everything you touch. I just want to add a small hint, hopefully this doesnt sound like a typical smartass coment, because its really not meant that way- but its so freaking dangerous to look into the rear side of the planer, especially while planing shorter pieces. Im a carpenter myself and I know someone who lost an eye by doing so. Machines normaly have a „kickback prevention“ system to prevent the knives from grabbing parts and hurling them out the rear side, but when it happens its better not to have a face in the way…. Anyway, awesome project!!
Lucky girl to have such a dad !
What a lovely gift for your daughter. Great design and production too, I especially liked that you even thought of the cable restraint.

And even if it's lost over the years, she will remember that you made that for her, especially with a new sibling. Way to go, dad.
I was expecting something simple, this just got more amazing with each step. Very cool item.
And this year's Dad of the Year award goes to Russ! Great video!
🎊🎉🎇🎆🥇
you must be going for best dad in the universe. your kids will love and appreciate you forever.

WOW! Didn’t know there were machines that did all that, much less dad’s “ who cared enough to give the very best “!
Ah, Russ makes a "Tiffany" lamp. Nicely done sir!
Regards,
R
Your little girl is blessed to have a father who treats her as his precious gift. 🙏🏻
That is fantastic, you never cease to amaze me. Just total craftsmanship. Bet you’re daughter got a wonderful surprise 👍
That was lovely. Twenty years ago, my little girl would have loved it too.
Superb! What a lovely thing to make for your daughter. I always love making unique things for my children - a jewelry box for my daughter or a box for my son's karate belt. Even though they are now 16, these hand made things will always be special.
You have Dad of the Year nailed down!!!!! So incredibly creative and executed.
Absolutely brilliant, fantastic result. I did a Dumbo on a bought base for my 8mnth daughter, makes nappy changing easier.
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to show us how it's done.
Dad brownie points → the best kind of brownie points!! Great project.
A lovely project, and a fine way to demonstrate the xTool P2 capabilities with your woodworking skills.
You must have gotten loads of brownie points for that 🙂 well done! Ever think of building Tiffany a dollhouse, mini replica of your own house. Another great build.
Now there's an idea 🤔. It could be that every time you finish a room, you do the room in the replica😅. 🤯
Great Job. You always do really nice work but this one is different, its easy to see a man who genuinely cares.
Wow that's really nice russ.
Your daughter has a wonderful dad indeed.
Incredible work! What a lovely finished product. Bet she was delighted.
What a wonderful and beautiful light!!!❤❤❤

Kids naturally pick up things quickly and the apps today are simple to use, won't be long before dad is helping her program own designs
That feature to probe the surface and adjust to the shape is amazing!
No doubt about it.... you're a GOOD DAD!!!! Beautiful Job for dad's little girl.
Aw, that's lovely. 😊❤ Lucky Tiffany! 👍💕
I watched this thinking it was going to be a new brownie recipe! Thanks for sharing.
Everything went perfect, be it the cable restraint or the remote garage!
Laughed at the backside writing as well!
👍👍👍
Another beautiful project. She will love it.
It is truly insane what a man can make in his own little shop these days!! Well done, sir, you never disappoint. 😊
very cute, glad to see the laser machine wasn't a one-off!

super cool dad points achieved. Great little project.
Lovely work for your daughter!!

Never fail to amaze and captivate your audience, relatively inexpensive but priceless to your little girl 👏👏👏👏
I can't help but think of sir Terry Pratchett when I see the name Tiffany.
I sure hope you keep plenty of iron around the house.
A Beautiful creation 👍👍👍.Thank you for sharing. Be safe🇨🇦
That is such a lovely thing to make for your daughter! ❤️🦄❤️
That "Colour-in the Walnut" story is a nice life-lesson, imo :)
Russ is such a good spokesperson for Xtools. And without opening his mouth.
That will be one happy young lady . Well done 👏👏👍
Brilliant. Couldn't work out what it was until the lights went in.
I folded and overlapped the lights so that the aluminium heat sink does nothing.
😂
What an amazing result. I realized you'd in-built a cable strain right before you pointed it out! Nice design.
It must be one of the best machines you have purchased looks like we are going to see a lot of use on it. 👍😀😀😀
Great video 👍 I'm sure that light will be loved and will be a collectable piece 😊
Very cool. Loved it.
But as you burnt out the case I was thinking that a little girl would like a bit more colour 😊
My thoughts exactly! Having made items for my daughter, I was told many times: "dad, it's too plain". I learned my lesson quickly.
Fabulous and clever! The laser cutter is brilliant....
My favorite TH-cam site
Is is sad that my wife who is 64 years old would like one of those, nice build, thanks for sharing.
My daughter would totally love this!! Nice work
A fine piece of work. If it wasn't a one-off I could see a business opportunity here. Also, I'm guessing pink for the colouring in... Thanks for another entertaining video
my god you are so talented! precise work shows.
Another great job and amazing how you conceived, designed and planned it.
Nicely done all around as usual thanks for sharing your work
Absolutely cool work.👍👍
Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Wowsers!! Most Excellent!!
Best. Dad. Ever ;)
Puts anything I ever made for my kids to shame!
Said it before... is there nothing you cannot turn your hand to?! Incredible!
as a small future note for LED's they make them in different densities now, i think it's 45,90,144/meter
Outstanding as always with NYW👍🏽
Best dad ever!! Magnificent work as always!
Lucky dad, that has such a work shop.
Use a little soapy water and spray on the acrylic before engraving, it helps with that white residue. Nice work though!
Thank you good Sir. Great work.
Buddy! That's pretty neat stuff...
First you are lonely, then comes a wife which becomes the boss and afterwards - if you are lucky - there will be an other mini boss with most emotional power to you. I felt your urge to do that project. Obsolete to praise, as you are a perfectionist. Warm congrats, mate!
That must have gotten the "Best Dad EVER" reaction for sure!
Die Leuchte ist richtig schön geworden!👍✌
Excellent. Top Dadding!
Amazing what a great dad you are,
Awesome project.

Absolutely Great dad brownie points. 🥰
Nice present!
Nice lamp yo made for Tiffany!!
How fitting that something with unicorns on should be made by her Dad.
Awesome project as always- its really just a joy to watch you being so precise with everything you touch.

Anyway, awesome project!!
I couldn't figure out what was going on when the slabs got glued together, but the end result was great.
what a channel!
MAESTRO!!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏
Brilliant, Russ!
Brilliant I think you'll get your brownie points
The things we do for our daughters... Only father will know.
Vraiment sympa et très belle réalisation.
