When I see one of your videos come up, I tell the Missus to bog off before she gets any ideas of asking me to do stuff like this for her! I settle back, have a brew and enjoy watching a proper craftsman at work! Excellent film, as always

I like to make up sentences too! “Making a tenoning sled for the spindle moulder” is an excellent example of 18th century workman’s gibberish. Love the rustic accents! Here’s a modern take on an old classic with some American flair, please do forgive the provincial nature of the amalgam: “Spry-cocking the taint stall to the maglum weave spork!”

The way he edits his videos he makes it appear to be so simple. Thinking about the time and skill it actually takes for him to do a project like this is very intimidating to me. His refinishing results are on a level I've rarely seen before. The way he will hand paints the woodgrain to make it look continous from one board to the next us amazing.

Splendid result as always, it is always a joy to watch you work!
I'd like to offer two tips for the LED lighting:
    1. Use COB LED strips. They have a much more uniform appearance and individual LED's are much less apparent if noticeable at all.
    2. Add a diffuser directly to the LED strips. This will spread the light out much more uniformly before it reaches the mirrors.

What I appreciate the most is the little tips and tricks he so casually drops. Like the part where he scribes in the shape of the wall onto his side boards, to make sure he gets the perfect fit, even on an uneven wall. He doesn't draw undue attention to these things, he doesn't go off on a 5 minute lecture on what he's doing and why. But as you see him work it becomes clear in your mind. This is the best way of teaching: by simply demonstrating rather than turn it into a "lesson".

Hi Russ, As one Joiner to another that is a class job. Big difference between Joinery and Carpentry and you are a Joiner who can do Carpentry. There is a massive difference between that and a carpenter who makes Joinery, hope you know what I mean. Really enjoyed watching the process of making it from start to finish. I'm useless with tech but loved the lasering. Lastly and I hope you take this as a compliment, you don't have all the up to date machinery but what you do have you know how to get the best from it.. I qualified in the mid 80's , had my own business for the past 25yrs or so and recently spent £40k+ on moving workshops and updating some machinery and I I know good work when I see it. Cracking job mate. :-) Adrian

I quite liked his correct spelling of aluminium for our coffee drinking cousins as well. 'ALLOOMINUM' 🤣

I’ll go out on a limb and say that your wife is satisfied with the work you’ve done. I know my wife would be thrilled, but I’m pretty sure that I’d be busy doing something along those lines in just about every other room in the house. Thankfully I don’t have the etching equipment, everything else I’ve got. Great Job!
