Reusing paper is so good. I hate tearing up these beautiful printed papers. The papers are a gift from them too. I reuse many and take pleasure and now people wrap my presents in beautiful hand picked paper bc they know im "gentle" with it and save and reuse them.😂🎉. May 2025 be kind and gentle to all.🎉🎉🎉

I love your content. The wrapping segment took me back several years when I used to wrap gifts with heavy, lovely wrapping paper. Then I discovered decorative shopping bags (yeek!) and stopped using wrapping paper. I have prepared my gifts in decorative bags this year. But next year I m returning to wrapping paper because of u. Thank you.

I’ve still got a two piece box that I wrapped for myself more than 20 years ago. I had done a collage of flower pictures and then used colour photocopies of my collage to wrap the box. Admittedly, I didn’t do the neatest job on the inside (or the corners) but It’s lasted really well considering it’s just card and paper. I use it to store a few spare craft items in. This video makes me want to wrap more boxes…. And do a neater job of it!

I was so happy the first time I se a video of Rajiv doing fancy gift wrapping using all kinds of tools. It’s been years now that I use brown paper only with no tape (double tape in extreme cases). I use pins, wax seals, yarn fuzzy balls (to make a package look like a reindeer) and even hole puncher to make designs on the brown paper. Brown paper is so versatile and it gets my creative juice flowing. I love it. Thanks for giving us more tools to add to our gift wrapping bag of tricks.

Oh the memories are stirring! Making wrapping paper with my kids when they were little was so much fun! We’d cut simple stamps out of potatoes- like a heart or star, then dip in bright poster paint to decorate brown paper. Also carefully dipping white folded tissue paper in little dishes of different food colorings. A cool iron to smooth out the dried dyed pieces revealed such gorgeous designs! Makes me want to try this again! What an inspiration you are Rajiv! 💖

If only you knew how comforting it is to find someone as nutty as I…
Yes, Rajiv~ wrapping a gift with a separate top and bottom is a gift itself borne of love - within a gift itself borne of love.
You don’t know it until you know it.
A safe, healthy and happy holiday to you , and to all who mean the most to your heart. 🎄

Every year I think about our Christmas gift wrapping and choose papers that mix and match or fit a theme (preferably not all from the same store or brand). I combine them with brown kraft paper and white butchers paper and a selection of twines and ribbons that I have collected on sale over the year. Everyone in the household takes turns wrapping their gifts and making their own combinations of paper and ribbons. I usually buy my gift wrap at the end of season sales for 1/10th of the original price and we end up with a beautiful pile of gifts under the tree that often costs no more than $10 to $15 to wrap. I have all boys but I have taught them how to wrap gifts over the years so they can take the time to beautifully wrap gifts for partners, family and friends.

3:32 Thank you for sharing that tip about scent and music being to last memories to dissipate - I truly wish I had known that before Alzheimer’s took my Grandfather. He was so instrumentally important in my life and watching his life deteriorate was so heartbreaking to us, and frustrating to him. I’ll keep this nugget in my pocket, tho! It’s funny, I always try to have music playing and candles/incense/simmer pots going when my kids come back from their dad’s. Hopefully that’s something positive that they remember forever!

Growing up in Scotland (many years ago) at the beginning of the new school term we were handed out the books that we would be using for the coming year. We had to take them home and "batter" the covers using brown paper. The technique was more or less with the same as you used to cover the boxes. Children's shoe boxes are a really good size to cover in this way. I love receiving anything in tissue paper so I like to stuff the boxes I have covered with tissue paper then nestle in the gift.

When wrapping a whole box, try attaching a ribbon to the inside end of the bottom with a staple before wrapping. You will have to accommodate the ribbon when folding the end. The purpose is to leave it hanging slightly out of the end to help open the box smoothly and easily.

im from russia and im a first post-soviet generation kid (i was born at the end of 90s). i still remember the shock of seeing american christmas movies, where kids were distroying present wraps, tearing it in pieces in seconds. we actually discussed this practicee a lot with people of my age when we were kids, because everyone had this cultural shock and a lot of emotions by those scenes. im not saying its a bad way to receive presents, some of the kids we discussed it actually told me they wished to have a pile of presents in this colourful papers to destroy like their favourite movie heroes, but this practice still havent grown on me.

You might like to try tying a Tiffany bow - it's like the ribbon equivalent of not using tape! Thank you for another beautiful and inspiring video ❤

Thank you Rajiv! I agree, the wrapping is an extension of the gift. I laughed out loud when you mentioned the scent of rubber cement. I also thought about the blue printing ink from grade school! I just wenr to your website. Oh my! It is so elegant! Bravo! Congratulations, everything is sold out. I look forward to seeing your future offerings. Merry Christmas from South Georgia. 🎄 🎅 🌲

I’d be happy just to receive that wrapped box without the gloves because it’s so beautiful. 😂. Rajiv you make everything you touch into a work of art. Merry Christmas to you.
