I wish youtube still had the 5 star rating system because a like or dislike feels like to much here. Dnd works ig but any of the six other good systems for post-apocalyptic settings would have been better and the official 2d20 fallout is easy enough to pick up and play for a one shot. Good show but it feels undermined by clinging to DnD.
Personally I would go with GURPS, seeing as that was the system S.P.E.C.I.A.L was based on (the game was originally meant to use GURPS but the deal fell through).
@@snorpenbass4196 gurps is harder to utilize in today especially if bring in new ppl. for 2d20 system that new fallout trpg uses it still utilizes those key stats in a good way with combine main stat and skill stat to get target number to beat, dont need to do crazy numbers like dnd5e or even gurps that the vidoe game heavily modified for license reasons.

if ppl want to use dnd for fallout thats fine, BUT doesnt mean you should silence ppl to at least inform those interested and give an OPTOIN to pick and choose. its one reason why open game license 1.0 mess happened in 2023 with dnd owner wotc thinking they can do whatever and loyal content creators back them up. basically you play tabletop roleplaying for the BRAND or GENRE?
official tabletop rpg of fallout exist by modiphius using the 2d20 system. they have a starter set that helps ease newcomers not just into the universe if new but also step by step process of using 2d20 in a condense and easy understanding. premades design to easily help and understand how stuff works and the action point system that encourages player teamwork and communication.
Yea but then they couldn't call it a DnD actual play, it would be "Fallout 2d20 actual play".

Like they for sure know of the ogl 1.0 mess in 2023, pretty much WotC not care for content creators. So them saying shush gives off what I call “boot of elvenkind lickers.” And weird to protect WotC/dnd brand despite rhey play other trpgs systems too.
This video got sudden noticed and when I posted this the vid got 10 dislikes, not it’s around 37 in last hour. So that tells ppl something.
Note: if didn’t noticed I said boot, not boots. If want that other pair to kick you gotta fork over more money to WotC to give you that other boot to lick and shine pretty much.

We played one on D&D and one on the official Fallout system. Both are available on the channel!
Potassium Iodide (KI) is useful only for oversaturating the thyroid gland so that radioactive iodine doesn't take hold there. Most radioactive iodides from nuclear weapons have relatively short halflives so depending when the party leaves the safety of the vault KI is unnecessary to totally useless to you really wasted effort on this?! The big thing about KI is that radioactive iodides are a significant portion of the threat from nuclear *power plant* accidents, again much more relevant immediately after an event due to short halflives.
Sorry, I really like the video but this KI thing is a pet peeve of mine!
i mean i think that's an issue of fallout's worldbuilding not being super realistic, and they're just working within the systems of that world. though the clarification is definitely interesting!
