- Just wanted to share how it is to fly the fastest commercial turbo-prop in the aviation market. Keep in my mind that the landing is with a different captain because I had to compile two flight to the same destination due to GoPro battery. Still trying to get better at this. I hope you enjoy it.

I noticed though, when the captain is checking the rudders he calls them ailerons, probably a language thing. Also, no mention of Autofeather during take off. Maybe not in your SOP? I’ve personally had to reject a take off due to no autofeather arming, wouldn’t fancy an engine failure without it. Happy landings.

Yes he called it ailerons by mistake we were both new to the aircraft anyways. The Autofeather arm we check it and it’s confirmed armed when the “power set” response is verbalized out loud. Three things to make sure power is set: spoilers down, auto feather arm and torque bugs align to blue torque bug and values.
I actually had to reject a takeoff for the same reason.

As you know the Q400 is a great machine, if you can fly that you can fly anything. Certainly made sim assessments a lot easier for other types. Two things I don’t miss is the Alt Sel, and other aircraft telling tower that we still have our spoilers up.

Wonder why you guys don't speak our own language...that's weird.
French they speak in french...Spanish/Latinos they speak in Spanish...Asians they speak in their own language even Brazilians pilots speak in Portuguese...etc etc etc but Portuguese/Angolans they speak in English.. like why?? You guys don't like your own language??
