When the 82 class were new back in 1994/95 I tried visualizing them in the 1980s candy livery. Pacific National has come up with a good improvement there. Not that I dislike Freight Rail Blue. Good to see 1970s equipment in use there i.e. the pneumatic discharge cement hoppers and the converted wheat wagons both built at the Comeng plant at Granville which has been gone since April 1990. There used to be a bulk cement train to Murwillumbah in the 1980s at the height of the Gold Coast construction boom that departed from Broadmeadow yard. It was a lot longer than just four to six wagons that were commonplace in more recent times. So long in fact they unloaded much of it adjacent to the Tweed council depot.
