I was born and grew up in Hyderabad. This is my real story. I used to live in Banjara Hills which in the years 1972 - 78 was mostly occupied by the Muslim Elite of erstwhile Nizam state. I was a sole Hindu boy among a group of 20 Muslim boys. When I innocently remarked in 1973 that we beat Pakistan in the 1971 war, I was manhandled and pushed to the ground by the other boys and was told that this was a lie that was created by the Indian media. That Pakistan amicably agreed to the formation of Bangladesh. I was shocked then, only to realize later that these boys are being influenced by the discourse going on in their homes among the adults. So, this journalist who claims that Owaisi is treated unfairly should be more honest. Owaisi is being Indian now because that is his best option. Not because he feels truly Indian. This is gaslighting at work here.
Absolutely, not only Owaisi but most Muslims, if I may say 99% of them are forced to conceal their true feelings towards India and Hindus, only because that's the only option they have since 10-15 years. After the advent of social media and things going viral like wild fire, they cannot afford to reveal their true selves to the World, like they used to until 15-20 years ago. My grandfather's brother was forced to flee and leave his house in then Osmanabad and now Dharashiv in Maharashtra. What these people hide is who started killings and mob-gatherings and why was police action started. It's the similar story of how does one create a muslim state, the answer is by killing or forcefully converting local non-muslims. They have done the same thing in other places as well. The reason this failed in Marathwada was because there were too many Martial castes here unlike in Kashmir. What was expected to be an intellectual discussion on the era of partition and its impact on Hyderabad, we have an AMIMIM discussion on "15% of the population were Muslims" but quietly evaded that they were pathologically anti-Hindu. I was born post independence as the son of a Naval Officer whose origins lie in East Bengal/East Pakistan/ and Mow Bangladesh. My mother arrived in India after their marriage in 1950 at the height of riots. In 2008 I visited my "hometown" in Netrokona, 200-km north of Dacca. Our lands were occupied by a Muslim family whose daughter now occupies the land. Upon hearing of my visit, she during the visit wanted me to agree to sign land documents that were in the name of my parents (long since dead). I did not know of this and nor did my dead parents. Indeed in their retirement they would recall the horrors of their last journey from the alleged "15% people" to the Hindus masses driven out of their homes. My grandfather's brother was forced to flee and leave his house in then Osmanabad and now Dharashiv in Maharashtra. What these people hide is who started killings and mob-gatherings and why was police action started. It's the similar story of how does one create a muslim state, the answer is by killing or forcefully converting local non-muslims. They have done the same thing in other places as well. The reason this failed in Marathwada was because there were too many Martial castes here unlike in Kashmir.

I was born post independence as the son of a Naval Officer whose origins lie in East Bengal/East Pakistan/ and Mow Bangladesh. My mother arrived in India after their marriage in 1950 at the height of riots. In 2008 I visited my "hometown" in Netrokona, 200-km north of Dacca. Our lands were occupied by a Muslim family whose daughter now occupies the land. Upon hearing of my visit, she during the visit wanted me to agree to sign land documents that were in the name of my parents (long since dead). I did not know of this and nor did my dead parents. Indeed in their retirement they would recall the horrors of their last journey from the alleged "15% people" to the Hindus masses driven out of their homes. The moot question is that if the Razakars were an innocent lot of people with social well being, than what is Akbaruddin Owaisi belonging to the "15% of population" who needs 15-minutes to clear Hyderabad of the "kaafirs"?
