There is such a lack of nonfiction on booktube, I'm glad you are there to fill a bit of that hole. They are my favorite hauls!

Agreed! Non fiction enhances fiction in many cases. I'm reading the Leo Demidov trilogy (Child 44) atm which is set in the Stalin era, Khrushchev era, covers the Hungarian revolution, Soviet-Afghan war ect ect which all actually happened, so I'm going to go back and get some context which I wish I had before I started reading them.

I agree in that there is a lack of non-fiction on book-tube.
I would like to see a book haul of reference books.

I have never understood why people find non-fiction boring, how can something that educates and informs on the real world, real people, history etc be boring?

yes! bring on the nonfiction. I believe there is a nonfiction Renaissance happening on BookTube and I'm super excited to be a part of it. The book on insects sounds interesting, especially since I did a year of graduate work in entomology before switching to French. It was my childhood dream to be an entomologist, but I realized that it wasn't for me.

I think it is very good that you "promote" non-fiction on booktube. There are so many very interesting non-fiction books that are just as fun to read as fiction books and you even learn from them! I have a book recommendation for you, in case you haven't heard of it, maybe you'll be interested in it, Limonov: The Outrageous Adventures of the Radical Soviet Poet who became a bum in New York, a Sensation in France and a Political Antihero in Russia (what a long title in English, in French it is just Limonov!).

Eastern Philosophy is so interesting, there's so many topics to explore. Tibetan Book of the Dead is great. You could also go into some of the mythology. The Story of Tibet: Conversations with the Dalai Lama by Thomas Laird is also great. The Dali Lama is telling the history of Tibet based on their own branch of Buddhist thought. It's a fascinating take on history.
