- I thought I'd make a video on how to replace your old headlight bulb on a VW Polo Mark 4 (2002-2009) because I couldn't find any guides already online, so here it is.

For 1999 POLO users
I've tried this on my 1999 Diesel Polo since I couldn't find a video for such an old car.
It was pretty much the same… just that instead of removing the cooler tank you only have to remove a tiny iron bar that holds the bulb plug in place.
I'm saying it cos you won't be able to see it from where you'd be standing while trying.

How do you fix the light bulb after puting it in? My father has done it 4 times, and after driving it falls back out.

There is a retaining ring which needs to be rotated back into place to lock in the bulb after install
Are those two nuts & hoses the only thing holding that expansion tank in? Removed everything & can't get the tank out. Cheers
Yeah the connector, two plastic nuts and just make sure to unclip the piping from the side of the tank. Theyre the only things that hold the coolant tank in.
Maybe the bots/studs are bent?
@@SSIcely Thanks for the reply. Tank just wouldn't budge. In the end I managed to do it without removing the tank. Just unbolted the star drive bolt that holds the fuel pump to the side of the engine bay & moved it just enough to get my hand in there. Noticed someone had previously removed the bolt at the bottom of the pump & not replaced it. All done. Thanks for the video

Sorry sounds like you skipped a bunch of the video. Did you watch from the start?
I go through everything that needs removing. The coolant tank is the only part in the way that needs to be taken out not a big deal. The fuel pump does NOT need to be removed.
i couldnt see you remove the connector before the bulb. so its a pointless video.
lol if you don't know how to remove the connector from the bulb it seems you must not have any fine hand motor skills should not attempt to replace the bulb.
FYI if you are wondering also, it does not matter which way you connect the connector to the bulb as mentioned in the video.
