Foolishness happens brother. Don't you dare go Hollow. EDIT: Also, SINCE you're dedicated to the sword master playstyle... In New Londo (Ghost place) a bit past where you died there's a Parrying Dagger. Put it in your off hand and you can parry and counter attack. Okay you can also Parry with just your fist, but it looks cooler with the Sai. Go ninja go.
Btw, there's an illusion wall below where you rung the bell that will save you much time later when you need to come back. And by time save, I mean light that freaking bonfire behind the wall, or else you'll have to do the trek back down every time you want to visit the lower area of Blight Town.
I never saw the big deal about BlightTown. I never found it to be that difficult tbh and I'm not trying to say I'm better than anyone or really great at the game. I'm just being honest. I've never even played the remaster either, I only own the 360 version and yes I sometimes get framedrop in BT but nowhere near the slowdown people claim. It wasn't ever a problem for me and it's almost nonexistent when played backwards compatible on my Xbox One. I guess I'm just lucky? Besides all that I enjoy Blight Town lol
@@CountStoczkowski It's just super easy to fall off the scaffolding, or to get poisoned by the toxic blowgunners. Plus a lot of people get lost the first time through... and then there is the issue of finding the fire at the bottom... Once you've figured it out, though, it's not big deal, IMO.

Hahaha sorry dude, I’ll try to get the next video out ASAP but it takes me a while because of work and other obligations. Glad to have you along for the ride though!
if it is dex weapons that thou seeketh, purchase the Crest of Artorias from the smith Andre of Astora. then goeth to the bonfire that was hidden behind a wall in the area beyond the smith. use the crest on the wall. Why oh why did you not use a homeward bone or just walk back to the bonfire to use those souls? Every boss gives you a homeward bone for that very reason my dude, why the rush
Dude, kudos on getting through all that with a +2 weapon. You could potentially be at a +6 or 7 though. Great editing again, loving the content. Cheers!
From all of those "elden ring veterans play dark souls" Type of youtuber, I think you are the most relatable one, all of your bad luck one after another very nostalgic for me, especially the part you still using base weapon and not the OP early one, lol Hope you find the hidden wall in the area beneath the bell, there's another firekeeper who can enforce your estus alongside with kindled bonfire
I know I said Blighttown was going to be Hell, but the true Hell experience would be the Tomb of the Giants in the Catacombs. But to make it less Hell, if you have a skull lantern, you can use it.
@6:10 "Those are deathblight...." Yeah they're so much worse than that. Please be extra careful anytime you see that enemy specifically. Also I'm so happy you summoned Solaire. Please use the NPC summons when you can. They're a lot of fun with the story.
Love to see someone do a first run of the souls games. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did back in the day. Just to share some of my suffering: I spent 10 hours on the asylum demon with a broken straight sword and no healing because I missed the fact you could just go to the room to the left. In short: dont give up skeleton
Homie takes everything on the chin like an ABSOLUTE CHAMP! I'm nervous about him being stuck to a build first playthrough, but mad respect for his enjoyable suffering.
I love how he is under everything each boss and somehow manages to go ahead. Under leveled, Under upgraded, Under minded and even under located (haha lol blightown under map haha)
now i'm more experienced, i can honestly say my only problem with blighttown is the hidden bonfire at the bottom. soon as you get that, one cracks the area.
You can avoid most of blight town by going through the forest and down to the valley of the drake. Just near the elevetor beneath firelink shrine. Doing well so far! Thanks for sharing.

@Sid i almost forgot, in DS1 if you want to stay your way of Dex, Baldur Side Sword, Rapier or Spear is your way to go for early, later Chaos Blade which is Katana but you need to keep your humanity around 10-15, Balder Sword has high damage, and insane reach.
Great commentary man! I busted a gut when you lost those 42,000 souls in Blighttown. Why didn't you level up at the Depths bonfire? Ah well... live and learn.
Use the black eye you got when you see a popup for it in an further area because one of the guys you freed killed her and you can get revenge and bring her back using her soul you get for avenging her
You didn't wasted your kindling on the bonefire at 20:25 in the swamp of blighttown 👍 : there's an illusory wall 'near' it that has quite a bunch to hide. Can't wait for you to reach the Ornstein and Smough boss fight ☠💀 Bonus info: I died like 25 times there and backtracking to the boss after every death was a painful torture because of those respawning silver knights and sentinels.
Blight town isn't that bad with the master key entrance. And the run-in-mud ring 💍 is in the undead asylum, second visit. It's great to have if you're going to explore the swamp.
ok REALLY IMPORTANT later in the game you will meet another fire keeper, but DO NOT give her the fire keeper souls because you need that ladies specific fire keeper soul which mind you is indistinguishable from other ones in order to bring her back to life. SPOILERS ON HOW TO GET IT BACK FROM THIS POINT ON SO DO IT IS ADVISED NOT TO READ UNTIL YOU GET TO ANOR LONDO..... So, remember Lautrec, the knight in gold from the parish that you couldnt release? Well, he busts out and kills that fire keeper, so to revive her you need to kill him and his party and get the soul from him in Anor Londo. you will find his sign if you r human outside of the big boss arena (there is 2 giants) after you kill him and get the soul you can go back immediately or return it later but, reminder DO NOT USE ANY FIRE KEEPER SOUL until she is alive again in which i believe you unlock some dialogue or smth.
You know how you're confused about the bell ringing at the end there? I love that about DS1, you're running around ringing some random frigging bells (..because vague creepy reasons)- and it takes so long to actually get to the second one by the time you've done it, fortress' gates are an obscure ancient memory. I'm pretty sure you are missing that merchants have different tabs, specially for Domnhall Also Blighttown is infamous not only because of it's difficulty, but because in the original version of the game this area ran at 15 fps at best. Even some people faced 5 fps.
Hey, Sid. Put your STR to 14 to use the Uchigatana in one hand. The one-handed heavy attack is a thrust forward and it deals twice as much damage than slashing attacks. Katanas do bleed damage too. Using a bleed weapon on the big demon boss in the Asylum makes the fight quick. Just attack from behind and target the legs.
This game is ruthless. Only other undead can help. Please do the Great Hollow. Great level at the bottom of Blighttown inside a tree. It's fully optional.
