It's very fun to do with other people, everyone is laughing and having conversation consisting of a lot of nonsense and deep stuff lol. But definitely more beneficial for self exploration
ninof yea well i tend to start thinking really deeply and not talking a lot or really doing anything, so being around people while high is awkward for me.
i agree. same phenomena with other psychedelics. the trick to using psychedelics socially is to microdose. lately I've been smoking carl sagan amounts, microdosing, like 1-3 hits of some good shit.
***** One thing that I noticed when smoking with other people was that for a period of my smoking history I had a point where I felt that I was being anti social or a little too quiet when in company. FYI none of your friends are probably sitting there judging you, so don't feel awkward, because the chances are that they are just as high as you. They are probably not even thinking about you being all quiet all of a sudden. You also go quiet because the green allows you to stop talking shit and be in silence for once, something we are not accustomed to. The brain/mind then battles this silence with some form of paranoia. This paranoia is usually an illusion, a creation of the mind. Some people have a higher tolerance than the rest, so they can maintain a convo and keep it going where as you may have gone all quiet. Best things to do in times like this is continue the silence, close your eyes, stop thinking and stop trying to go against the direction that the green smoke is taking you. There is no need to feel awkward in any setting with friends, family or with anyone. Because beneath the surface we are all one. just be in the high and enjoy the ride... peace :) x
This is exactly how I use Cannabis. If I smoke it daily - I end up feeling depressed and no longer enjoy using this wonderful plant. If I smoke it just once a month - the first joint is very pleasurable. I like to be in a dark room - Pink Floyd playing via headphones and lying down with my eyes closed. It refreshes my body, mind and soul.
I've been using cannabis on a daily now and that is totally accurate. Except for the depressed part, but other than it's turned into more of a habit than an enjoyable experience.
You want to do TOO MUCH weed? 1.If you are a heavy smoker take a week off. 2.Ingest 2 ripe mangos. 3. wait an hour. 4.Hit that bong as hard and fast as you can. The mango contains myrcene terpenes which speed up the time it takes to get high and produces a stonger high.
Yeah the cool thing about weed is it will punish you overtime by making you addicted and slowly losing your mind. Versus other psychedelics that make you lose your mind on the spot for not respecting them.

I did this last night. I haven't smoked since my birthday in February, so a good few months. I only smoked a one hitters worth and sat out by the lake at the local state park. Ended up seeing a lighting bug in the dirt, through some thick grass. I dropped down to my hands and knees to dig through it to capture the bug and ended up going on what I can only compare to a lightweight mushroom trip. The lightning bugs face expanded to the size if a humans, looked me in the eye and taunted me in it's own "language" as it dug deeper into the grass, just out of my fat finger tips grasp. Pretty trippy for just a couple hits of really good weed.

After smoking weed for 10 years I can say that now even small amounts of great weed can catapult me into what TM is talking about when he talks about doing too much. It really is a roller coaster ride and it is intense but its a different intense than say mushrooms. You cant explain why its intense but you just feel it. I didn't even smoke much, I shared a jay with two friends of mine. I was exposed to highly energetic and positive music that flowed through my entire body. I could feel every nerve as sound waves hit my skin. I closed my eyes and saw
I agree, I smoked so much i didn't even get high anymore, I was intoxicated but I lost the high... I'm going clean for a few years for job stuff, afterwards I plan to go into the middle of the Mojave desert and find it again, wish me luck!
I agree with everything. Except maybe that it works great as a recreational drug too, bringing people together. I kinda wish I could control my cannabis use too but it makes me so starkly creative I can't help it. It just gets so goddamn expensive! Another pro of only using once a week.
I completely agree, ive used cannabis with others and it just makes me feel more mellow. But when i do it on my own in the dark I have all these crazy thoughts and im piecing together all these other experiences Ive had on psychedelics and I feel like the centre of the universe, compassion and empathy, its kinda like mushrooms in a way when u consume cannabis in the dark with a very large dose. I also rarely smoke cannabis, maybe once a month.
I see what he means. First few times I tried weed I only got buzzed and a relaxed, happy feeling, a few puffs of cheap stuff. But one day I bought the strongest shit, smoked an entire fucking joint. Fuck that shit hit hard. I felt like I could not stand up. Laid on the ground and the fucking sky looked... farther or some shit. I could no longer feel my body, the reality of my fragilty and the pale blue dot that is our planet became so apparent and frightening. I was sure I was gonna die then and there. Paranoia hit, I calmed my self down, no one has ever died from this shit lol. This shit can't be the heavenly high I was told of by everyone, I was sure that my weed had been laced and I truly was gonna die. I could not feel my heart beat, I was sure I had turned grey. My gf said I was just a bit pale and my eyes were red. Calmed me a bit but I still felt pre-dead. Apl this felt like 45 minutes but I asked the time and it was only about 5.
Cannabis has many uses such as stopping seizures and the other common health uses. The dream side of cannabis with breaks to achieve intense vivid dreams i think thats where its true spiritual side shines. when we say cannabis is a psychedelic in that aspect dreams could almost be described in such a manner when one has stopped using cannabis for a short period.
@@FuncraftVideos yeah but it has its own characteristic that can be better for certain times. i feel that, personally of course, a potent weed experience is good for a more psychological experience with a bunch of new ideas while a tryptamine would be better for a visionary state or an emotional breakthrough. of course, these characteristics can bleed into each other and you can get something completely different but in my experience they are two very different experiences with different benefits and different times and settings
weed gave me a big piece of understanding about this world and the reality we live in. and yes becouse of the understanding that it gives you, you can say OMG i realy did too much because it just blows your little world of cards all arround the place and the finding cards journey can begin... it just opens your mind

Bonus points for disposition playing in the background
The music is fine, great video, thanks a lot!
There are two types of McKenna videos
Good ones
and ones where someone added music
Tool and TM, My two fav things
cool music,cool suggestion
I will try this now. Starting next week.💨
I love meditating on cannabis. It really helps calm the mind and helps focus
good song, love tool.
Definitely a good choice in music.
this guy has got it all figured out. Terence McKenna, an influential icon.
This is why "they" try so hard to keep Cannabis illegal. Nicely done Terence!
Wise words from a wise man
I see what he means.
I LOVE IT!
omg i would do it once a week alone before watching this video.. never realized this way was mckenna's recommendation!
I think tool and terence mckenna are a great mix awsome vid dude
nothin distracting here
I thought that i was the only one. Weird to hear some one talk about this side of cannabis.
but then weed turns into something like shrooms and I don't see the point of doing weed that way because there are shrooms for that
what if you dont have access to shrooms?
This is so true.
Nice use of Tool's Disposition
Right now, he's exactly where he always wanted to be.
Not smoked in years... Just have, came here ♥️ Terrance
