If you look at those blocks and the depth of the crater, around 35+ meters deep and atleast 100+ meters in diameter. Thats 1/4 of the Sedan test. So this bomb is not small. As for the shockwave...well look to be fairly big...I would say that it dealt around 1km in diameter of damge. Of course this is minecraft, and shockwaves don't exist.

After some poking and prodding, I realize it's actually quite simple: once it's activated, all you need to do is make sure that the power you're putting in is enough to keep the Field Strength above 1% (higher percentage if you want the buffer), and that the power you're taking out isn't enough to push the temperature beyond 8000. I started mine by inputting 140,000 RF/t while outputting 500,000. Assuming you have sufficient backlogged power to start the sucker up, these are safe numbers to let it settle at. Once your output (how much power you're extracting from the flux gate connected to the Stabilizer) matches the Generation Rate, the temperature will decrease, and the Field Strength will increase. If you're Field Strength is dropping and you're worried it'll go too low, add a little bit to the input (the flux gate connected to the Injector). If your Field Strength is too high, or the temperature is too low, then increase the amount of power you're pulling from it (typically, it's smarter/safer to make this adjustment by pulling more power from it rather than lowering the input, as lowering the input will only make the Field Strength drop, while increasing the output increases the temperature. This will still lower your Field Strength, but at a significantly lower rate). BE PATIENT. Wait for the temperature to start decreasing again before adjusting. Without Thermal Foundation, I believe it does make normal lava. This person/pack has to have that, because how else would this reactor generate blazing pyrotheum all over the place.

What I'd love to see is someone build like a top-secret government research facility with a Draconic Reactor at its core, then make a Minecraft Roleplay TH-cam series about the facility. At the end of the series, an experiment goes terribly wrong, causing the Reactor to overload and explode, and you get to watch the entire facility go up in flames.
Probably safer to use IC2 reactors. You don’t need to run 30 000 blocks to check in on it just in case it explodes. Sure it produces EU but nothing an energy converter can’t fix!

Super easy if you have ComputerCraft or such. You write a bit of code, hook it all up and you have a fully automatic feactor management system.

What I'd love to see is someone build like a top-secret government research facility with a Draconic Reactor at its core, then make a Minecraft Roleplay TH-cam series about the facility. At the end of the series, an experiment goes terribly wrong, causing the Reactor to overload and explode, and you get to watch the entire facility go up in flames.
The facility would be a crater instead of going up in flames

It is not hard to destroy it. Just wait until the entire fuel is converted and wait 5 more minutes.
Probably safer to use IC2 reactors. You don’t need to run 30 000 blocks to check in on it just in case it explodes. Sure it produces EU but nothing an energy converter can’t fix!
