- The BRX-1 is Beretta's first Bolt Action Centerfire Rifle. It has a straight Pull Back Bolt Action, is highly modular and has gone through all the NATO small arms testing to make a superior option for the field or tactical applications.
Big thanks to Gunzonedeals and Beretta for sending the BRX-1 for the review. @berettavideos @gunzonedeals3261 @PrimaryArmsOptics #BerettaBRX1 #beretta
Beretta really set the bar high on this rifle. I really like the modularity of it and you’re definitely not going to confuse the magazine with any other rifle.
need to take 30 round p-mags and m-lock attacments
I wish more manufacturers would fully embrace the left handed community - they would certainly get more of my money - and this rifle, with how easy you demonstrated the swap to lefty is now on my wish list.
I'm not even left handed and I agree with you. Idk what people have against lefties
Straight pull. We need more of these. There seem to be so few of them.
Blaser is probably the nicest. Gonna be hard to beat. Even the new tactical one is great.
@@kamferjauthe prices of the R8s is significantly higher than the BRX-1
Yup, strait pull is best, I think savage has one and now Beretta, those are the only 2 I know of that's not a antique
Check out the Southern Cross Small Arms Taipan X. It's a straight pull/pump bolt gun , but it's only available in 5.56/.223 for now. Troy Industries supposedly is bring back their Troy straight pull back rifle
@@stevenkenney8747in Europe Straightpull are the Norm Blaser R8, Merkel Helix, Steel Action HS / HM, Heym SR30, Haenel NXT only to Name the actual German Models that are at the Moment available. (The Real Kickstarter and Golden Standard was the Blaser R93 which really put Straightpull in the Hands of most Hunters in Europe) my Favorit are Steel Action and yes i know the Swiss K31 was the First and Steyr also had a old one and Mauser also ....
Glad to see there's gun companies out there still trying to create new stuff instead of using the same internals as everybody and just making things look different. This rifle really is a modern hunting rifle
It's not new. Blaser and other German companies have been selling straight pulls for years
I’d love to see one of these configured as a scout rifle like Jeff cooper had in mind.
Excellent job of demonstrating the rifle's features. Thanks!
Beretta's reputation for quality definitely shines through in this beauty.
Hope Fiocchi keep supporting you, just purchased another 1000 round. Good staff. Enjoing your reviews for years. Thanks!
The parts look simple and well put together
beautiful gun... Beretta is a great gun company
Very sharp looking rifle.
Looks like very good for hunting.
Can I get one with a bayonet lug? Never mind that's more pointy than sharp.
Damn, that's a cool rifle. Kind of futuristic, I liked it.
I’m getting it in 308. I’m a lefty so stoked.
Everyone wanting lever gats and I’m over here waiting for more straight pull rifles to hit the market.
Why not both? More equals gooder. 😁
Very well done and explain , definitely need to add this to my collection
You know savage already have a straight pull bolt rifle
Thank you for this fascinating video. This rifle seems extremely well engineered. But this is likely to push people to ask for more (more calibers, extended magazines, heavier barrels, chassis and target stock and so on). I hope that Beretta will be able to answer to these new needs. If it is the case, they will be extremely successful
you can get adapters for them to accept AR10 magazines already. id like to see smaller caliber conversion kits that take ar15 magazines later on. hope more aftermarket stocks become available too.
I've just ordered one in 308 here in the UK
Just my 30-06 in black waiting now on my muzzle break I live in Canada couldn’t find one I ordered mine from Spain lots of rifles in brx1 no muzzle breaks here in stock in Canada but my rifle has super tight groups many shots touching on target just zeroed it but wow I couldn’t stop shooting it’s great rifle super accurate
What a nice innovative design. It looks to be quality even on video. Nice review on a very nice rifle.
K-31 anyone? This looks fantastic --- Italians know how to make lethal sexy.
That's why it is Baretta. They improve the already improved weapons. A company for five hundred years. OMG. We hope it remains till the world lasts.
Leave it to Beretta to come up with an excellent rifle! I will definitely purchase one
Its got to be better than the savages version
So ingenious that’s awesome
Well, I've been shooting and hunting with a Blaser R-93 since 2003! Mine is chambered for 7mm RM. I was going to trade the barrel for a 270, but it shot so well that I just kept it. It's a fine, accurate hunting rifle. I am sure the Beretta BRX-1 will be a durable hunting rifle. It works very similar to the way a Blaser works. I am going to have to give this one a real look. There are a lot of things I like about it.
I’m a big Beretta fan I’d love to have one
I heard about this rifle from Shot show and I am happy to see it getting out there. I'd like to pick it up as a long range rifle. Also, it will give me the option to use my natural ability of being left handed.
The A300 Ultima Patrol in the background looks badass 👍🏼
I now have a ne w gun to save up for ! Thats sweet it's so ahead of everybody!
Love beretta for these innovations.
This is no new Innovation ..... 😂 look at a Blaser R93 (produced from 1993 to 2008) the BRX1 is a simplified copy even how the Saftey looks and is positioned, with a little bit other Details and more simple (no Handcocking and the Modularity Barrel Exchange from Blaser is way better)
@@lenzadlbergerIf this is a copy of a Blaser, then Blaser is also just a copy of other straight-pull rifles that came before it. Remember, Blaser didn't make the first straight-pull rifle; there were plenty before Blaser.
Not by a long shot Berettas first hunting rifle.
Very cool rifle - best gun of 2024 so far.
Mmmm, I'm not too sure about that straight pull action. I mean it's pretty much just a pump action in the back of the gun! If you at least ask me personally, I fully enjoy the mechanism of the bolt action. It's a nice-looking gun don't get me wrong. And, I am pretty impressed with the ambidextrous thing, I'm not even left-handed, and I feel for those guys and gals and the aggravation they go through with the general neglect.
Being a lefty I think this is great being that there is not to many left handed bolt action rifles from companies
This is an amazing rifle.
i love this rifle its one of my favs
Hello Sootch, another great vídeo and you have my like, finally you a long gun on your reviews, keep doing this amazing job, your channel is very informative about guns, even living in Brazil, knowing that i will never have these guns, i enjoy your channel very much.
Hey Don, like that !!! Great idea from Beretta !!!
I played with one of these at the NRA Annual meeting a short time ago in Dallas. It felt terrific.
Interesting rifle for sure! Thanks for sharing 👍
That was hilarious. Beretta 500+ years old. That this is their 1st Hunting Rifle. Design is similar to Blazer and Mauser 66, also Browning has a European Straight Pull model. I myself am more impressed with Styer Straight pull. So light and simple. Looks much more like the Early Mauser or Russian Bolt actions. The only ugly thing about the Early Styer is the metal single stack mag machined into the Trigger Guard. If you could add a Removable AISC mags. I think there might not be enough room. I’ve seen some sporterized with engraved side plates of the Magazine.. It’s still ugly in my Opinion… the Modularity of the Beretta is Cool. Switching from right to left also makes it Super Cool to Convert to Rifle Cal Pistol. Another thing Cool with that is Pistol Brace and the Black Out Calibers. 300BO and now the 8.6 BO. So he said the Bolt heads and barrel extensions are 6 lug for standard and 9 for Magnum. Like a Weatherby. A Few other Companies used Multi Lugged Bolts. Stacked like Wearherby. Not like 3 Lug Browning Ruger Winchester etc. or the AR15 & AR10. The Weatherby Browning BBR bolt action. Which use Stacked Lugs, harder to Manufacture plus safer and Stronger.
I just became obsessed with straight pull rifles, the Swiss K31 and K41 rifles slowly becoming my white whales. And just as I do, this drops to show me MORE to be obsessed about!
Hey Beretta, don't forget us rimfire guys!
I didn't even think about this in rimfire.... Great idea!
I'm a lefty so being able to switch it to either side makes it great. i have a few Beretta weapons and they are great.
Beretta used to make bolt action rifles some years ago, Don. They just discontinued them. I remember one was called the Mato.
Interesting rifle. I really like the design.
This Rifle with a red dot would be Sweet 🤤
Awesome rifle never seen a pull straight back bolt on a rifle thanks for sharing sootch00
Check the Swiss K31. Best straight pull system ever....
Great review on the BRX-1. I wonder how the BRX-1 and Savage Impluse would compare?
I need to get my hands on one to see how I like it.
Amazing innovation. Definitely impressed.
I dont understand why iron sights aren't included in things anymore. I know they are not as accurate but I will alwayys want that option.
I likes straight pulls but I don't undrstand whey they angled the pull here. That is nonstandard for straight pulls
I've had a Blaser R93 Professional since 2005,I will never go back to standard bolt action.
I have a Weatherby MK V as well,just as a novelty 😂😂
Great review awesome gun baretta rocks
I love mine in 308. 1/2 MOA at 100 yards suppressed with an Omega 36m
My next rifle
This pull a great concept
I haven't shot one of these, but I was able to handle one in the local Scheels. What I noticed is that the bolt travels so far back that it feels like it is going to smack you in the nose. I found it to be a little unnerving. Not sure if I could get used to that or not.
Wonderful 😮
Boy the eye talions have something here
In fact, this rifle feels like machine gun with hand engine. Sako 85, 90 that's really sweet things.
This will be classified as a full semi manual rifle and banned 🤣. Nah, cool rifle except for that dorky orange magazine. I agree with the other comments- wish there were more rifles like this.
Don, how rigid is the unsupported pic rail ?
Good sniper gun!
An Update on the rifle I ordered, it failed and injured me with an out of battery detonation while I was pushing the bolt forward. The UK supplier is blaming me because I was using reloaded ammunition even though I'm an experienced reloader The rifle failed while I was on the gun shop's range zeroing the brand new rifle. Beretta couldn't be less interested if they tried. These rifles are dangerous!!!
Hey did you hear about the recall of the rifle?
@@Hightex-lz5ky Only after the failure, The shop I bought the rifle from had it on the shelf for 2 years so I don't know if it ever went in for the recall. The rifle was released here in the uk 2 years ago
@@madzimbo a guy in Norway tried to sell me one but I ended with a blaser and it's just a masterpiece, it's so much lighter and looks mutch better with a wood stock. I just had to bite the bullet on the price, it is totally worth not going on summer vacation this year in exchange for that masterpiece
I got dime size patterns at 1250 yards. Straight out of the box. Most dont have my skill/training, but that said, its a very capable rifle. Good job Beretta.
Browning and savage both make straight pull rifles as well browning is twice the price mind you but all are beautiful rifles blaser makes one to and it’s expensive but many options I own two so far working now on a browning and then a blaser
Honeybot commenters 2 minutes after the video posts. lol
This rifle is reminiscent of the Swiss rifles of WW1/2. Straight-pull bolts should be more common imo.
Was thinking of buying one but decided on a blaser r8 because it's so much lighter and you can get it with a wood stock.
I’d have trouble with that straight pull. My problem, not the gun’s! Love the looks of it. Hope they make a shorter version.
It seems that picatinny-rail for the scope-mount is a potential failure point.
❤
I love bolt actions
A set of iron sights would be useful and 10 round magazines..
Sharp looking, sleek, and fast and, sexy ! Damn, reminds me of a Red Head I met in Las Vegas one winter back in 1992 ! Wooooo ! Still gives me the chills thinking 🤔 about her ! Peace ✌️ !
As always, a great review,
Super 🎉🎉🎉
Seeing how it's all based on a auto loader I'd love to see a sister auto model kinda like Remington 7400 to 7600. But for the price I'd be real impressed if they made a drop in package to change from bolt to auto loader.
Very nice rifle
Ambient cicada sounds
Just waiting for the wild boar model to make it to the US
Whats the cost
1200$ 😂
COOL GUN FOR THE MONEY AT A REASONABLE PRICE . I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SEE QD CUPS ON THE SIDES INSTEAD OF SLING STUDS(OBVIOUSLY A COST SAVER) PLUS MLOK ON THE FORE END FOR A BIPOD. MIGHT AS WELL SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA... AFTERALL THIS IS A 21ST CENTURY RIFLE.
I THINK MORE BOLT GUNS WILL EVENTUALLY GO THE STRAIGHT PULL ROUTE AS THE YEARS GO BY.
My FFL guy is looking for the .308 version for me at the moment. I should have one in a few months.
Loved the review!!!
Wonder if you put the bolt handle on the left… by using your off hand to cycle the bolt… would that spread up reloading?
Thank you for sharing ❤🤝Looks like a good rifle to me 👍
Probably the smartest design I've ever seen. The trigger pull seems long.
Thank You sir 🇺🇸
🇺🇸
The simple straight pull is similar to a pump action shotgun aesthetically cooler and definitely sexier.
cool rifle, but the height of that scope with the picatinny is close to telescope territory.
Just courious with the straight pull how it handles the larger caliber rounds other wise looks awesome
You can see they put alot of thought in this rifle even orange mag a big deal
On sand bag most likely shooter can rack with left hand and shoot with the right hand even faster
Dam!!!!! This is. SO BAD ASS
You had me at straight pull
Considering Beretta is the world's oldest extant marque in the firearms industry, I seriously doubt this is their first foray into a hunting rifle.
Why straight pull bolt action rifles are less proliferated then conventional ones?
Because most civilian bolt actions stem from old military actions, and old military actions, having to fight with cartridges' inconsistencies, dirt, thermal expansion... often became hard to open during fights. Turning bolt actions simply gave more leverage to do so, and were cheaper to make too.
Very cool 😎 Beretta rifle 👍👍 i have one question. Is the trigger guard metal?
Nice review
