Nah I'm a full size pistol kinda guy, I can't stand compact or micro compact guns. I rotate my EDC between my Glock 17 Gen4 and my Beretta M9A3 G model.

I bought my very first handgun back in 1986 And it was a Beretta double action lonely. My dad was a cop, and he recommended that I get that for safety since I was a novice. Believe it or not it was one of my favorite guns.

You know it's quality. ALL of my 3 Beretta's....the 92FS, 92 Centurion, and my Vertec sound EXACTLY the same when you rack the slide. In my opinion, the Beretta 92's are in the top 5 handguns ever made.
I hate to admit it, and honestly it really doesn't mean much as it feels like beretta has tighter tolerances... but my girsan clone has a much much smoother slide, like 2011 air rack out of the box. All they changed are the locking lugs and block, and of course the slide cuts for them. m9a4 and original 92fs slides... well slide right onto the girsan frame contrary to pop belief, just swap barrel and lugs, not dangerous to shoot it that way, but the inverse is not possible I don't think. I personally prefer the Beretta for materialism, reliability, and the modern frames. mm. the squalo? goddamn it's sexy

Let us not forget about the MP5 as well. Both franchise movies (Lethal Weapon & Die Hard) were the catalyst to the rising popularity of the Beretta 92 and H&K MP5. I think Don Johnson also deserves some credit for pop culture's representation of the 1911. Especially during the _Nash Bridges_ era. Mr. Johnson also brought the 10mm to the masses with the Bren Ten back in the _Miami Vice_ days. Fast forward to today's arsenal of _The Expendables_ and *now* we are talking! Stay classy my friends.
i wish it could be carried cocked and on safe, and also decocked. My PT92 has a frame mounted safety which also decocks when pushed all the way down. all my pistols move up for safe down for fire
@@Macktheknife247 Are there after market grips available for the GTS yet? I haven't found any online. I don't think other 92 Vertec grips will fit the GTS because of the placement of the decocker.
I like the fiber optic sights, higher magazine capacity, and the thinner grip. I wouldn't use the rail or optic mount although they are nice additions. I'll be sticking to my classic FS. Very nice pistol though!
A lot of people don't like that. I have a M9A1 and bought a threaded barrel. Few years later I got my daughter a 92X. That one has the flush fit barrel. My daughter didn't want my spare longer barrel. Everyone that sees that 92X always points out that flush fit barrel as a big improvement. I'm with you though. I really like the protrusion and it looks good with the open slide. There is a movie called The Peacemaker. A guy presses that barrel tip into a hole of a bullet resistant windshield being degraded by AK fire and smokes a guy. I thought it was kind of cool to put it in a movie. Something different than that stupid take apart thing while still in the shooters hand. Personally I'd be glad they didn't just take it from me if they're that fast.
I used to carry an M9, it was all kinds of beat up and neglected but it still worked. Maybe I'm just not used to it, but this 92 GTS is funny looking. It's like an M9 trying to be a 1911.
I recently got a 1301 Mod 2 and its literally one of the coolest things I've ever seen or owned lol I have it all decked out with that folding stock and a red dot but I will never let that thing go. It legit makes me feel like Duke Nukem 🤣
The first pistol my dad put in my hands to train was a used Taurus 92, so I've always had a fondness for the 92s be they Beretta or Taurus. I do think the Safety/Decocker on Taurus is better designed. Push up for a safe and push all the way down to decock the pistol. However, seeing more Beretta's come out with frame mounted controls and not having them stuck up on the slide is making me consider adding one to the collection.
Thay looks pretty badass. I have a m9a1 with the g conversion on it. I dont recommend the FS unless youre going to carry it on safe or its not going to be used for anything serious. I bet beretta sells bunch of these. Seems like the 92 everyone has been asking for. Unless you jist cant handle the open top slide there isnt any complaint beretta hasnt addressed lately. Thin grips,vertec cut, pic rail, and now frame levers. Im good with te original 92 types but id like to see more people enjoy the beretta 92 gun. For anyone wanting to suppress a 9mm pistol the beretta 92 is the way to go.
Happy to report that I purchased one of these today for home defense. Plan on taking it to the range this weekend or next. Looking at putting a Streamlight on it too.

Important to state the gun doesn't have a safety. It is a decocker only. The decocker lever cannot function as a safety lock in any way, even though it looks that way.
I'm still happy with my Langdon LTT Beretta G . I think it's the best version cause of its trigger modification and NP3 coating. I agree ever since Lethal Weapon I love this Gun and finally got one 37 years later lol....You're awesome Sootch

someone was not thinking at beretta if you want to spend for this 92 a smaller decock lever would have been more practical I own 2 92s and 2 96s I bought used and I own 2 PT92 the compactness of their levers is why the have a following but its what you like and prefer enjoy
Ive got Beretta Cougar 357 sig I love . There's another Italian pistol i own not to many people are aware of and that's a Tanfoglia. I have a tanfoglia in 45 acp soft nickle 1911 frame. It's just as accurate as my 1911 9 m pistols.
I keep coming back to this video because i want this gun so bad. 92 series is my favorite guns of all time. More specifically the M9/92fs. This would be my second beretta and a worthy successor to my bedside beauty, the M9 lmao.
My unpopular opinion on the 92 is that the old-style (M9A1 profile) frame had a better grip with it having its own grip profile and not replicating the 1911. I feel like the M9A1 profile fills my hand up a lot better, and it feels like an extension of my arm more so than anything else. Although, thankfully the Vertec frame guns come with a grip-insert module that brings it back to that M9A1 profile I love, so good on Beretta.
I also prefer the filled out grip. I got a M9A1 and that grip is big improvement over the original 92FS. I got thin G10 grips, Wilson short reach trigger. That radiused tang along with those two have made rhe guns lot more ahootable than my earlier 92"s. I dealt with it for years because I liked the 92 so much. But I got bitch hands with short fingers. That M9A1 Checkering is a lot nicer than the vertical grooving. Beretta has pretty much fixed every complaint people had of the design. So pretty much if you can't handle the open top slide would be the only reason to not get one.
I carried the M9 (92) many years ago in the military. Such a great pistol. I've been trying to find one of the same type without all of the bells and whistles for a decent price.
I have owned several 92 variants. Recently I bought a 92 A4. It maintains the decocker on the slide but is is a G variant so it is decock only. I prefer the lever on the slide as it is not something I will inadvertantly swipe with my thumb. That is not a poblem I have had with many pistols but I tend to prefer systems I am used to. On the 92 what I am used to is a slide mounted lever.
The Beretta Model 92's is one pistol that's always eluded me, but I have all intentions of getting one someday. Some 1911 has always surfaced and that's where my money ended up:) A friend of mine recently bought the "INOX" version sweet looking pistol, satin stainless steel finish.
Why would they have not designed the de-cocker to function with a downward swipe instead of an upward? I’m a huge beretta fan and love to 92/m9 series of pistols. I prefer the standard g model over this one. I think beretta missed the boat on this one.
I have an Old M-9 and a few other Beretta's which would make it confusing for me to get used to the frame safety. The new grip panels are like sandpaper.... first thing I would change is the grips. You didn't mention if the gun comes with the hump grips Sootch?

Have had mine for 20 years and frequently still use her for CCW (though sometimes I carry my Makarov instead).

you can convert the regular safety on the 92/96 to the G de-cocker only version.

As a side note I had the Taurus PT92 and I could not shoot it accurately due to the heavy trigger. The 92s are beautiful but not for small hands.

My first thought about the name Beretta GTS was "Gran Turismo Superleggera". Although I doubt the 92GTS is "superlight" pistol.

I had a 92S. Had it in a soft case. Dropped it on its muzzle while a round was chambered. It fired. Nothing retains the firing pen on the 92S.

I got the 92X Performance Production RDO. A really great gun, fun to shoot, less recoil, super smooth, great curves on that pistol. I love that 92 design since i saw it first time.

almost forgot makes you wonder why go to all this trouble waste money on redsign the frame when all the had to do is make sure every gun 92 96 and PX 4 storm comes standard as a G model
