Quickplay guides (Japan only) showing what controls wuld look like if any human would even consider using the Wii remote
About the game
The game supports anything that plugs into the Wii including the Gamecube controller. This disc appears to be nothing more than Virtual Console releases seeing as how the games act just like Virtual Console releases, for example, going into Kirby Super Deluxe and then exiting, you exit back to the main game selection screen, but when you go back into it, it is like a save state. I am not sure if pressing reset on the game will kick you back to the title screen. Another example is on Kirby 64, when it loads, you see the same spinning N logo like on N64 Virtual Console games, it was a cheap move on Nintendo's part, but all the games are there. Unfortunately, you can NOT customize the controls making it impossible to play Kirby Super Star and Kirby 3 with the Gamecube controller, but works perfectly for Kirby 64. You have a room to see Kirby's history and Nintendo console landmarks including the Satellaview and Kirby slot machine. Another room is the game select room. The 3rd room is the special Kirby game. I show stage 1 with the sword.
The bottom line, if you like Kirby at all, definitely get this game, a Gamecube controller, and a classic controller (I use a HORI turbo controller). It is well worth the $40 price tag!
Music (I think these are the creators):
Kirby64 - Rockstar (Nintendo)
Kirby64 - Neostar (Nintendo)
KirbySSU - Masked Dedede (Jun Ishikawa/Hirokazu Ando)
-Nintendo owns the rights to the game, music, character of Kirby, and I guess anything else mentioned in this video. I am not trying to infringe on copyrights or anything, just an unboxing using the ingame music. - เกม
Omg, it is beautiful! I want this game so bad. I like how in the intro you included songs from the crystal shards.
Thank You for Uploading I was really excited to see the stuff and more Gameplay footage! :D
They are the originals from each game and do not loop twice like most game soundtracks. They play 1 time through and when the song plays the second time, it is a 3 second fade. The last 3 songs on the disc were a Kirby orchestra.
I know some people have a problem with the games not being updated for Wii, but to me, I'm happy they didn't touch the classics. This game is to celebrate the history of Kirby, which means, it's best to play them the way they were played in the past. It won't really feel right to celebrate classic games without the classic feel. That's what makes this collection amazing.
I will probably record some more footage this weekend of the new mode.
Actually, you can hard reset on every single game. With the Wii Remote I believe you hold down 1, 2, A, and B (could be wrong); I know as fact on the Gamecube controller you hold down A, B, L, and R.
Thanks
Have you listened to the music tracks yet and seen if they were updated, or are they verbatim from the original games? I think Nintendo did some orchestrated versions of some of the songs before. Those on the soundtrack CD?
i need help... i dont like the controls for kirby super star on the gamecube controller... is there anyway i can change the conrtolld to B to inhale and A to jump?
Kirby rules!
Not stupid, I had the same thing. Basically, Nintendo 1/2 assed this game by just putting 6 virtual console games on a disc. You press the home menu button on the Wii remote or classic controller and press reset. The game kicks you out of the current game and brings you to the title of the Wii game disc. I have no idea how to reset the game to go back to the file screen. Bad programming and porting is what this was.
They seem to work like the Virtual Console games since they are just Virtual Console games burned to a disc. They save automatically when you exit them. I do not know how to return to the file select screen other than getting a GAME OVER.
No idea on Classic Controller, however. I don't have one! =P
Excited for this masterpiece?
i just got this game for like $20 but the controls do not work at all, just useing the wii remote but all that happens is that kirby ducks or walks in one direction(depending which game is picked but even that is hard to do) even when the controller is sitting there , i know it is not the controllers because they work fine on other games anyone have this issue and find a fix?
Seems like they did a lazy port job if they don't let you change controls and it acts exactly like Virtual Console games. :/ About the 45 music tracks, did they update those?
How do you save the games, I know that the one of 64 is automatically, but the other ones???
You need a password to reset the game???? Why couldn't it just be like the Gameboy Player, press a button that isn't used and give you a message box asking if you want to reset the game?
HELL YEAH and i can't reply for some reason
!!!!!!!!
Nintendo has either been extremely lazy with ports lately or mess them up beyond comprehension. Like on this game, they didn't even bother adding Kirby Super Star Ultra, just Virtual Console games without actually changing how the Wii treats them. How do you reset a Virtual Console game when you are forced to return to the game's main menu where the reset button is?
Stupid youtube.
