CHARLES CHRISTOPHER PARKER, JR
American saxophonist and composer, Charlie "BIRD" Parker, born on August 29, 1920, and died March 12, 1955, was raised in Kansas City, Kansas.
Parker is considered one of the most iconic and definitive creators of Modern Jazz.
Much like what Albert Einstein is to Physics, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie are the Architects for Jazz Artists that is followed to this day.
Parker's compositions, improvisation, style and sound have been studied for decades, and will allow future generations to compose, evolve, and inspire audiences for years to come.
A true genius to say the least, Parker forever changes the course of American music.
The hallmark recording "Bird With Strings" features Parker at his finest. He was practicing daily, was celebrated both in the United States and abroad, and inspired respect and admiration globally.
