With H&M I’ve learned from a lady in the store that the sizing depends on the collection. They have collections for adults and teens (I think it’s the DIVIDED collection) and the teen stuff runs smaller and also shorter! Because I’m very small the clothing from the „adult“ collection is always waaayy to long on me and their XS runs bigger than the teens XS.
This is correct. Hennes or womens will be larger than Divided which is more catered towards young adult/teen. When I worked there I wore a size 6 in Hennes and a size 10 in Divided.
As a size XL I adore H&M. It’s basically my whole wardrobe other than thrifting lol. I just always have great luck at the store. And I size down in almost everything except bottoms cause everything is massively oversized. Have you heard that Zara is doing a good American collab?? I have feelings about that but hey I’d love for Zara to branch out to larger sizing.
Honestly, I was so surprised I tried on things there recently. The one thing to keep in mind is H&M doesn't just have 2 different lines they have like 6 or more within their store. So if you are grabbing from different areas you might need to grab different sizes. One area I was a M and another I was my usual L.
I’ve noticed with H&M that the larger straight sizes and plus sizes sell out SUPER quickly online and in store. That may be a reason why there weren’t many options.
I do appreciate H & M being budget friendly and trendy; hopefully they can continue to take feedback from their customers and keep improving ❤️ thanks for taking your channel into the field and showing us what’s out there!

h&m has always been one of the most inclusive bathing suit brands for me. literally the only place i’ve been able to find tops at big box store type brand for years because they do bra sizes and the range in sizing is decent
It's so weird because a majority of my time shopping there is a nightmare because nothing fits correctly, but the few rare pieces that i've found have becomes some of my favorites!!
all of my jeans are either h&m or levis. i love h&m jeans! you can find just the right amount of thickness and minimal stretch, which is what i prefer. the price is fantastic and they LAST! unlike a&e jeans that fall apart after a year now.

It depends on the product, I think HM is true to size and Zara and Mango are smaller than what the measurements say. xl in Zara isn't really what an extra large should be.

When H&M first came to the States, the clothing was cut like the clothing in EU, but now they adjusted the cut for the US market. I’m a size US 8-10, and I wore an XL from H&M until they changed the cut. BTW - the jeans looked amazing on you. I didn’t think that they were tight at all, but I understand if you didn’t feel comfortable in them.

Zara was cute but nothing fit, then the worker told me to check H&M. Literally went to 3 different stores to get the right sizes but I got what I needed, and it was true to size! Biggest surprise of 2022.

I always had to go up 2 sizes when I bought jeans from them and haven't shopped there since years. Now I buy mostly from Monki - I know, that's a sister company - but their sizing is on point, I even can order online and be sure the things fit. But after your video I'm intrigued and want to try H&M jeans again 😄
I love H&M jeans; they consistently fit me the best. I do usually have to take in the waist though, as I get the same waist gap that you pointed out. I feel like for a lot of women that have larger hips/thighs, this is a problem. It’s an easy fix though if you have a sewing machine with a denim/jeans needle! You can just do two darts for a quick way to bring them in at the center back. There are other ways to redo the back involving taking off the waistband, but I’m lazy and just sewing two darts is quicker. lol
I have that style of H&M jeans and they definitely stretch! I’m glad you tried H&M again. They’ve been doing so well on their effort’s towards sustainability and the sizing is much better.
I've never had sizing issues with H&M, only with shoes I one time had to get a bigger size. But maybe that's Europe idk. I've definitely had this with Spanish clothing chains, their sizes really do run small.

Yup - I've not ever had an issue either - used to shop there all the time when I lived in the UK, and also now in Australia. I've also never heard it runs small. Interesting. I've definitely found Spanish brands run small for what I'm used to as well.

I used to shop at H&M when I was in middle school and high school but mid way through university I stopped going in because I stopped fitting into their clothes even tho in other stores I still was an xl occasionally a L. Happy to hear they're extending their sized, even tho it does suck that most of it appears to be online. I'd love to see a fitting room video of stores like Anthropplogie and Free People. Most ppl go to Urban Outfitters but I never see them go to the other stores UO is part of. The clothes at all 3 stores are expensive overall, but I'm always drawn to them. I'm a size 16 though and don't know if any of their clothes would look right, or if they would even carry the extended sizes in store.
I've had the complete opposite experience at H&M. Even when I was plus size at 255 pounds a couple years ago, their sizes have always ran big in my opinion. I could fit into a L or even M when at other stores I was 1XL or 2XL. Now that I lost 100pounds I still find their sizing to be a bit big.
I have def. noticed they have amended their sizes, which is really good! Overall, way better! LOVE these in-store try-ons! Feels nostalgic!! Like old times! LOL

I worked there for years and the comments are right! The divided black dept is much smaller it’s targeted for teens (like divided blue for guys) but the normal line is more size inclusive (they also offer plus size online)
I am from México and my Experience in H & M is that the sizes run large I am usually a size 6 and the truth is that I always have a little big. I don't know if everything has to look oversided but I love it

In Germany I never had a problem with sizing in H&M, size Large fits about 90% in my case (I am an US 14). Also every H&M I know here has a plus size section. I always loved H&M especially for basics like leggings. PS: I love watching you, could just listen to you talking for hours, no matter what you are talking about
I know I already made a comment lol but girl if you take the ham out of the jeans you can give them some length. And if you don’t mind a raw edge on the ankle you could always just fold them up a little bit and either have them or liquid so them.Usually hems of jeans are rolled up and sewn into place so you usually can unroll them maybe 2 1/2 times just a little tip or hack. I have the opposite problem I am short so I pretty much cut every pair of my jeans but I also like my jeans really distressed. I don’t on too many pairs that have absolutely nothing done to them.
i feel like h&ms stuff was more inconsistent than anything. i haven't bought much from them recently but stuff i have from years back was all over the place. at the time i was about a uk 14 and i had a top that was xs, a dress that was s, shorts that were xl, and one time i tried a pair of jeans on that were the largest size and they didnt fit. h&m was one of those shops i could never buy online from because i knew i needed to try things on

I am from México and my Experience in H & M is that the sizes run large I am usually a size 6 and the truth is that I always have a little big. I don't know if everything has to look oversided but I love it

This is how H&M is in Spain, the sizing is wide, often even a little big. I'm a big fan for that.
Practically speaking, I genuinely want to know. How do people wear skirts that are short like that pleated denim one? Do we just flash people now or what? I'd think bike short but they'd be too long. What's the solution??
Booty shorts and tights are a great solution for skirts like this!!! That and ofc if I want extra coverage I wear a sweater around my waist :]

Have you ever done a video on fashion tape? I'm curious if any of the slightly loose tops (i.e the scallop top shirt) could just be held down with the tape? Can see which tops it works with, which brand is the most durable etc

I’m pretty certain I had nearly the same skirt in the late 1990s. Mine had two little buckles on one side and I think it was from union bay.

In Germany I never had a problem with sizing in H&M, size Large fits about 90% in my case (I am an US 14). Also every H&M I know here has a plus size section. I always loved H&M especially for basics like leggings. PS: I love watching you, could just listen to you talking for hours, no matter what you are talking about
I know I already made a comment lol but girl if you take the ham out of the jeans you can give them some length. And if you don’t mind a raw edge on the ankle you could always just fold them up a little bit and either have them or liquid so them.Usually hems of jeans are rolled up and sewn into place so you usually can unroll them maybe 2 1/2 times just a little tip or hack. I have the opposite problem I am short so I pretty much cut every pair of my jeans but I also like my jeans really distressed. I don’t on too many pairs that have absolutely nothing done to them.
i feel like h&ms stuff was more inconsistent than anything. i haven't bought much from them recently but stuff i have from years back was all over the place. at the time i was about a uk 14 and i had a top that was xs, a dress that was s, shorts that were xl, and one time i tried a pair of jeans on that were the largest size and they didnt fit. h&m was one of those shops i could never buy online from because i knew i needed to try things on
