  • I transformed sweatshirts to jackets this week and filmed the process. The button loops are made from the twisted fabric cord that we made in last weeks video. If you missed that video, here is the link: • Twisted Fabric Cuffs

    I would love to see you add length to the bottom. I wonder if you could cut the bottom add material and reset some of the sweatshirt back on. Lol I guess I could try myself. Just more fun to watch you.

    Hope you are enjoying spending time with your daughter. I’m so glad she got to come for a long visit. I’ve been working in my flowers. Planting more perennials so that they come back. It’s been really warm here these last few days. My body sure did need the sunshine! Have a great week.

    Hello from Michigan Julia. I loved the sweat shirts. I'm finally feeling better. II had Lyphedema problems for several months, including 3 trips to the hospital 3 months of home nurse care. Such wonderful people. Now things are better and I am finally taking an interest in my studio and all the UFO's to be done. Also have hopes in the near future of teaching fiber art and other crafts at our clubhouse. My Son, Grandson and their wives are going through various processes of Covid . Thank goodness my great grandson is feeling fine (he's 8 mos.). Good thing they all had their shots and although they feel miserable, they didn't have to go to the hospital.
    Take care of yourself.

      Hi Phyllis, It is so good hearing from you. Glad you are on the mend. What a season you have had! My husband and I both had Covid in January. Luckily we had mild cases and were up and around in a few days. Hope your family heals quickly and the little guy doesn't get it at all.
      I'm convinced that Spring is a scam in MN. It just won't happen this year. My little shop opens on Memorial weekend and I haven't been done there yet. We've had over 4" of rain this week-such a muddy mess. I'm trying not to be overwhelmed and I'm giving myself lots of grace! It is what it is! I hope you feel well enough to teach your classes- you are such an inspiration! Julia

    Do you use a specific type needle when you work on sweat shirts?

    • @stitchesbyjulia
      @stitchesbyjulia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Pamela, I use a regular size 14 for sweatshirts. When I work on a lighter knit (like t-shirts) I will use a needle for stretch fabrics. Hope this helps, Julia
