Thank you again for your selfless sharing of your tutorials and creative ideas. I’m so glad I found your channel - it is incredibly motivating and just cheers me up no end. Love and best wishes to you Julia from the UK xx
Wow!!! I love how the serging makes them look like ruffles! ❤ I see this was 5 years ago! Do you still make the tunics? They look so cozy on top of being so original and creative! I'm trying to find all your videos that I've yet to see! (I watch them when I can't sleep! 🙃) Thank so much for sharing your brilliant talents with us! You're the bestest! 🤗 Brenda 🌼
You are a FABULOUS designer and seamstress. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your talents with us. I am a “Senior” and desperately need an extra income. I do craft shows( usually Winter ones as I live in Louisiana and it is too hot to do summer shows ). I am so excited to make a few of these to see how they sell here. Every single item you make is awesome!!! You are so talented and you just don’t know what a God send you are to people like me to make some extra money creating things like this. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! God bless and I pray you always sell out of your beautiful items.
Hi Dawn, I've done craft shows for years too. These longer styled sweatshirts have been great sellers. Happy sales to you. I am so glad you enjoy the videos. Julia
Absolutely adore you, you've given me sew many ideas without doing exactly the way you do them. Kinda an off spin of you but my own styles and ideas. Keep sharing with us. 😊
Hi Sheila, I am so glad you are enjoying the videos and are using them to expand your own style. That's exactly what I hope viewers do! Everyone is so creative and has their own ideas, it's so fun to share and inspire. Thanks for your comment! Julia
Hi Julia so lovely to have you back. I was actually watching one of your gelli printing clips when a message came through alerting me to this clip. I am so glad you have had a productive summer. Your tunics are gorgeous, in the UK these are really popular too with women of all ages, they are so forgiving 😃😃. Looking forward to more of your wonderful tutorials. Like you I set myself a whole range of tasks and then life takes over, I guess it is the same for a lot of people, especially creative souls. Have a great weekend, sending fond greetings from the UK to all your viewers. Big hugs and loves to you Julia. Dorothy xxxxx🙋🏻😘❤️
I 💜💜💜 the way you have created these sweatshirts. Your designs are amazing. The fingerless gloves are so pretty. I have a pair I got for Christmas and I love them. Love the way you have made yours. Bet they are soft and warm. Thanks for sharing all these gorgeous pieces. You are so talented. I know I say this in every video but it is so true. You can turn anything into a gorgeous piece. Happy Creating! Hugs! 💝💝💝
So glad to see you back Julia! I’m a fairly new subscriber and absolutely ❤️ your work. I recently retired and have started playing more on my sewing machine. You have given me new inspiration. Thank you! Can’t wait to see how to make the fingerless gloves as the colder weather will be here (Wisconsin) soon!
Hi Karen, I want to do a tutorial on these but would like to get a blog up and going first so I can provide a free pdf pattern. Wish I was more tech savvy LOL!
I really like your folded cuff pocket. I am going to incorporate that into my sweatshirts for sure. These are fun to see-and they are really a great break from my other projects, thank you for the inspiration, Julia. Even from pre to post Covid, they are a great fashion statement. I càn not believe that is actually a reality, right? I told my husband everything pre Covid almost seems surreal.
Hi Vicki! So glad you enjoyed the video. I just made up a pair of fingerless mittens this morning- I should have turned on the camera! I will to a video next week on them. Julia
Hi Sally, I get them from AlphaBroders.com. It is a supplier and might need an account. Amazon sometimes have them from different suppliers. The style is 1566 and the brand is Comfort Colors. Yes, it is available in plus sizes. Thanks for watching, Julia
Love all of your videos....and ideas !!! What is the price of the sweatshirts that you order ......I've gone to the website but no price is given....thanks again
Hi Donna, They range between $15- $16. A bit more than the JerZees or Gildans but I like the washed look. Most are 80% cotton and 20% polyester. OneStopInc also carries the Comfort Color sweatshirts in a limited color range for around $14. Hope this helps- thanks for watching! Julia
Is it a conflict of interest in making some of your designs and giving those designs away to others? I think I just asked a dumb question. I really enjoy your sharing.
As I get older, I find myself living more "open fisted". I hope to pass my passion for sewing onto others. Hopefully sharing my ideas will inspire others. Thanks for watching, Julia
Hi. Hello. Howdy. I 💘, love your stuff. I really appreciate you sharing. I think you have a God given gift in your areas. Please keep sharing. It is a jump start for me. Perhaps in the future, do a video on decorating work shirts. I prefer long over sized. Thanks again. Later. Connie in Tx.
Hi Melanie, In this video, I am using the Comfort Color #1566. If you plan on making just a couple, here is an Amazon link -amzn.to/35FlQQP If you want to make a bunch for a craft show etc, I get mine from www.alphabroder.com. You will need an account to buy from them, also shipping is high unless you purchase over $200. Thanks for watching, Julia
Hi Julia, I have been fasinated with what you can do with used clothing. Someone gave me an ugly sweater and I wondered if there would be anyway to add lace or recut it to pretty it up. IF I sent you a pic would you take a look and see if anything comes to mind?
Hi Kimberly, I've had good luck with the Color Comfort sweatshirt. However my supplier has been out of stock on many sizes and colors-ugh! Thanks for watching, Julia
Great tute! Thank you for your excellent tips, Julia. Do you know where i might purchase plain colored tunic length sweatshirts in 2x large - like those you sell? I’m fat, so the beauties you sell are too small for me. sigh :{
Hi, I use the Comfort Color Sweatshirts that are men's sizing. (They run big and do come in a 2XL) I get mine from www.alphabroder.com. The style is #1566. The men's or unisexed sized seem to run longer-nice for the tunic length. Hope this helps, Julia
Thank you!!! Couldn’t find a way to purchase as a retail customer from that site, but found a couple of Comfort Color unisex crewneck sweatshirts in a 2x on Amazon. If there is a way for an individual who is not the owner of a company to purchase from the site you referenced, I would appreciate GREATLY any information you can give me re: how I might do so, as the selection of colors in the size I require is much broader than the few offered on Amazon. What a Blessing your generosity of Spirit IS, Julia! You have my prayers and very best wishes for continued success. 👏👏👏
Hi Cherolyn, I get them from alphabroder.com. The style is #1566 and the brand Comfort Colors. My supplier has been out of stock on many sizes all year. Not sure what is going on. Julia
Hi Becky, I have a couple of on-line suppliers. The one I use the most is HeritageSportswear. The brand of these sweatshirts is Comfort Colors and the style is #1566 . Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Julia
Quite creative and fun looking.
You inspire me to go beyond the norm. Thank you. I love your tutorials!

Hi, I love working with the large and XL. Most people like the oversized sweatshirt.
Love them all!

I’m so ready to revamp one of mine...
I don’t have a sewing machine, do you recommend using fabric glue or type of glue, if so which one?
I would recommend Fabric Tac glue. It is very sticky and is washable. Thanks for watching!
How u get started with craft fairs.
Thanks Julia .... do you think the length is longer with this brand
Donna Bennett Yes it is a bit longer.
may I ask where you buy the sweat shirts?
