Hey buddy thx a lot for this great video !!! Ive found the soluce to map the 16 pads on each ABCD bank. You have to switch by 2 octaves on the offgrid between each bank when mapping. So you can map correctly the 16 pads. Start at the lowest octave.

@@bjamminsincebirth3494 kinda makes you wonder though.. ive spent hours searching key words relevent to this product coming up with nothing and i find out about it by chance noticing the thumbnail in the third page of reccomended haha. noise machine sux lol
Yeah for me I had to get the black because the way the lights are on it. I don’t really like the blue color and the white was just too white. So I figure the black was the best color for me out of the three options.
Thanks for the video! I FINALLY got my OffGrid (!!). Unfortunately, the website doesn't exist anymore, no more email, and I can't get the Firmware, and therefore can't map the keys.. Do you know where I could get it? cheers.

@bjamminsincebirth3494 I bought one off Ebay, and I'm not in love with the pads, but I'll give it another go. The SP-404MK2 is a midi for it which is amazing, but I like the idea of a Bluetooth controller
@lindasson yeah it’s cool with your iPhone or iPad in a pinch…SP is a better option but for keys I would go with XKey Air if you want a simple Bluetooth keyboard.
Wow I just got off the phone with the owner of the company. Super cool and nice. He fixed my issues with velocity sensitivity and those so called double triggers. He then fixed my settings to move 16 instead of 12. Pumped!

Velocity Sensitive pads, Battery, Compact, Bluetooth, MPE capabilities and Scale mode in a device the size of a iPhone pro max phone. Also it really fun to use with the iPhone. Koala doesn’t have velocity sensitive pads on the screen. So you can create and get those variations in your hats which make the drums sound better.
@@bjamminsincebirth3494 for me, Midi controllers for koala is tricky. This seems a little too limited, but also too complicated 😂 i did spend some time looking for tiny controllers like this, with Bluetooth any everything, but idk.
@@Randuski you play an SP404 nothing more tricky than that. 😂 What is limited to an SP404 user? It’s for drums and simple melodies. You could play chords on it but that’s not my thing. Also it can be used to trigger samples. It has a pitch bend and mod joystick. I wouldn’t say it’s everything anyone would need but it’s what I want for simple drumming and maybe one day I won’t see a need for it but I’m not interested in drawing in velocities or notes. Launchpad Pro or X is available but it doesn’t have battery and Bluetooth and mod wheel or pitch bend. I mean you can use your SP404 MKII to be a controller. I used AUM and tons of apps to create music. I play guitar and bass so I’m not using the midi controller for everything. It’s just an option. Tonality can play chords and I can trigger them with the Off-Grid.
That's neat! I might've thought of getting into that if i didn't have the mpd. That scale function is dope! learn how to play the major/minor scale on that and away you go! :D Was that glitch that you referring to 'double tap'? i notice the mpd218 has a tendency to trigger notes twice, which might be fixable by readjusting the pads (haven't bothered to yet though lol!)

I have no problem with it. The update made it move by 16 so you can now map them just.

Octave is 12 semitones. That’s where the 12 came from. That is a weird choice. I would agree that it should scroll 16 to match the pad banks.
Yeah I get exactly what they are thinking but it doesn’t help when there is 16 pads. Truth is they can easily fix that with an update.

Yeah I have that issue on almost all the pads I’ve try. Might be a user issue
