Hi Dan, nice informative video as usual. 18:14 I love the story told by MF engineer David Walker in his book "Inside Massey Ferguson" about when he was working in Africa he was called out to see a (135 l think?) With an engine that "Wouldn't start". As part of his initial checks he took the oil bath air cleaner bowl off only to discover it had no oil in it but instead was full of dry sand . Apparently the driver had proudly announced that he noticed "The old sand in it was dirty and oily so he had replaced it with nice clean sand". Oh bloody hell!
@@neilmurphy845 Obviously no access to an operators manual, minimal training , never grown up with anything that had an engine in it. The result? One knackered engine. Hello there i bought a tvo just starting out my self grey ferguson tvo version i love your tip on oil pressure deally good service i currently flushing radiator and engine from old antifreeze rusty water i want to put a hydraulic pipe on my tractor is it possible cheers 🍀👍 hope to hear from you soon 🚜🍻
Loved this video, took me back to when i was in my teens helping my dad service the 2 cars, a Mini and a Morris 1800. One question, do you not service the brakes on a tractor ?

@@CowfarmerDan yeah the te20 is my favourite tractor, and dont get me wrong i have always thought of TVO's to be fine, its just my friend told me that they guzzled fuel the other day and i didnt believe him so ive been asking about to see.
Question for viewers...Dan you will be too young for this one.....Does anyone remember shirt buttons on the plug leads? I think they were used mainly on the 6 volt TVO 20,s.Why were they used?

I really enjoyed this, I'm fairly familiar with diesel and modern petrol engines but not old petrol engines so found this really useful.

hey ive heard that TVO tractors guzzle fuel and that tvo is really expensive nowadays, is this true?
Fuel use is higher than a diesel but I wouldn't say they guzzle it.
TVO is not commercially available any more so it doesn't have a price.

TVO TE 20s are still a good little tractor.
