    Thanks so much Stephanie for demonstrating these CRAW bracelets. I've recently been interested in CRAW and love it. I don't believe there is anyone on you tube that demonstrates it as indepth as yourself and you are so gracious in showing us these patterns. Rightnow I am just working on a rope, and have recently learned squares and circles which I plan to incorporate into a necklace. . I guess the possibilities are endless. I plan on making this bracelet soon, and your other one as well.

    Very interesting how Stephanie’s dark thread gives a nice shadow effect or background. I used white thread and am not sure I’m happy with it. This pattern was a struggle but now I am soaring through it. THX!

      Thank you Cheryle🌻😊🙏 I prefer the smoke Fireline especially for this type of stitch where thread shows a bit. So glad things clicked and the stitch is fun and easy now! I love when that happens 😆☀️😎

    Just love this stitch. I did not have the 3mm pearl so I used 4mm. The only difference was instead of 8 craws in between I did 7 craws between the pearls. Turned out great. Now I am playing using size 6 seed beads as the pearls.

    G'Day My Lovely, I love the titles you are giving your beautiful creations of late. Referring those gorgeous Pearls to Moons tickles my fancy, I think that I am inwardly the Moon Goddess.......love Moon gazing particularly when then full Moon rises on the horizon and displaying its rich golden colours and like a huge disc that moves gracefully across the smooth diamond sparkling velvet night sky......sorry I digress it's just the thought of those delightful Pearls!!! You have I most tempted me into trying to at least attempt to do CRAW!! So, I will not disappoint my Master and when I have some spare time, I, your little Grasshopper will endeavour to use both "right hands" and try to make my Master proud by accomplishing the task at hand. Love the simple but elegant charm of this adorable bracelet. All three colours are fantastic and I love the white and blue rendition. The Miyuki Matte Labrador seed Beads are gorgeous and I will have to track some down. My Muse and I can see many a design coming from this little number and can't wait to see what grand designs you and your Muse can come up with......should be fascinating. Never been a "bangle type of girl" (mainly because they don't make them big enough to go over my chubby hands and then onto my manly width wrists) but by adding in an extra meter of Beads, (in length) I may be in luck and be able to make a few. Now, I am about to tell you a little tale and I want you to promise me that you will "not laugh" but feel very sorry for your beloved friend.......promise!!!!!!! The other day while scribing away to our Beading friend Gina, I heard the most awful loud noise coming from the kitchen. The Housekeeper (Hubby) yelling I don;t believe it! Trying to get my body into second gear, I arrived at a fast snail's pace.......now are you ready.....remember a straight and sad face, please! To my horror "my Frig doors" had fallen off, shattered all the door compartments and had items all over the floor. I was speechless (and that's the other big shock of the day......me being speechless, not my statement but that of the smart housekeeper who's job is now hanging in the balance). So guess what I did on Wednesday morning.....that's right, I was out Frig shopping!!!!!!!!!!! My eldest son had to come and do some Supermarket shopping from his Mum's stupid Frig, the girls got to have a lovely lunch of hot dogs! Sent the "Housekeeper" out to buy several bags of ice as I needed to save some of the essentials of life and hoped that my new Frig would arrive when they said it would first thing in the morning.....which it did thank goodness!! Sent him out the next day, armed with a shopping list (and kept my fingers crossed that he didn't lose it and brought the things that I needed) to re-stock the new Frig. Just when you think your luck has changed the hand break on his beloved Jeep has gone. Told of a Jeep place that would fix it, he rang to find that they charged (are you sitting down) $165.00 appointment fee, $125.00 to put it on the hoist and then the standard costs to follow. The guy casually stated it could be from $600.00. This after buying a new Frig has left my little adorable man in a "not-so-happy zone"! We may have found someone (hopefully) that can put a smile back on his face with a better deal. To top off the morning and the recent events......Carla threw up on the carpet in our bedroom doorway which sent the "housekeeper" (while trying to not dry-reach) banged and scrubbed his way through the mess! Life in the Phillips Household is just so joyful!!!!!!! I am now going to do some Beading and stay in the happy zone and I may even have a short snooze to recover from scribing out this long novel of woe and so my little Polar Bear I hope all is well with you and thanks for this "bright and cheery video and I look forward to the next delightful one. Love to all and will chat soon........Blessings XXXXXXXXXOOOOOOO

      Hello Chris Moon Goddess !!! I love the moon as well! My son and I are sky gazers and love any stellar phenomenon in the night sky (moon included) However as a goddess, I am a Sun Goddess (Sun sign is Leo) so we compliment each other beautifully!!! Pearls are definitely as mysterious and beautiful as the glowing moon so it seems a perfect name for these bracelets! I'm so glad you are going to give CRAW a go. You can use bigger pearls for a chunkier piece. Your fridge story had me almost falling off my chair (so sorry I know it isn't funny but the picture in my mind of your fridge doors falling off is hysterical) I have never heard of that happening! Well, when it rains it pours so they say!!! I hope all is better and the Jeep is fixed. Hope puppy is better too :) Hang in there sweetie and keep beading!!! Sending you lots of bead love...XOXOXO

      Being a Virgo is my connection with our glorious and mystical moon. It's a perfect example of not needing to be big to be powerful and strong. Anything that can control the mighty Oceans and cause Volcanos to erupt to the stillness of its silvery light as it gracefully trails over lakes and creates the right setting for young (and old) star-crossed lovers can be considered as very powerful indeed. When star gazing I always have a sensation that somehow it's where our real home lies, I feel very zen with the Heavens it's as if I am only visiting here on earth. There is such an energy that radiates from it even when it is in New Moon phase. During the phase of Full Moon my sons, daughter and I lay out our crystals for cleansing and to regenerate their energy levels. I am also an Earth sign so being ground is where I am at my strongest and as crystals are earthly gifts they are very precious to me with a lot of symbolism attached to them. There is one stone that I have carried since my little adventure started and that is what they call "The Blood of Christ" Stone. It's a dark green with tiny flecks of brown but it's the flecks of red that give it its name. Not sure if you know the story of the stone so if you have just skip over it. It is said that beneath the cross there was some stone and as Christ was dying that his blood dripped down and bleached into the stone. Too many (and myself included) that it is a very powerful stone. It is thought to have great healing powers for the soul and the body. My son gave me a piece to carry with me and while I was at my favourite place having lots of things done gave me a great deal of strength which is still keeping me a winner. I wear a lot of crystals and carry some in my glasses pouch I wear around my neck but a lot of my strength also comes from those around me sending lots of "Bead love and Healing thoughts" I am so glad my Frig story gave you so much joy and it is indeed only one of those things that can and does only happen to the Phillips........chat soon my little Polar Bear...........XXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    I am so proud, after watching this lots of time, I finally got craw. Thank you so , so much. One question, do I not have to join the beads at the top on each row? I notice that you’re not doing that. I’m doing to make this bracelet and I just want to be sure. You are beyond a doubt my favorite teacher, and I follow many. I wonder how I picked up praw so quickly and couldn’t get craw. Well, now I can do them both. Thanks, again

    Gosh, this is pretty! Would a 8/0's work in place of the pearls.....although I sure like the look of the pearls. I may do 8/0's instead of 11/'s and 4mm pearls....I have that in my stash. I love your style so much, I need to order 3mm pearls ASAP! Lol

  • @yoursilverdreams
    @yoursilverdreams 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Stephanie! I'm a little nervous to try this one...feels a bit like plucking my eyebrows...lol!
    Using your row numbers, how long is your bracelet? To adjust for larger/smaller size. would it be as simple as adding or subtracting a row of 11/0's from each station?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahaha!!! Jackie, its a lot less painful than plucking LOL I count the sections by CRAW units. So 8 - 11/0 CRAW units per section and 4 - 3mm CRAW units per section. Add or subtract CRAW units to get a good fit. My bracelet came out to 8 - 1 inch sections which gave me an 8 inch bracelet. Hope this helps!

    Hi Stephanie, I absolutely love your videos and finished jewelry. You are very patient in explaining how to make any of your jewelry pieces and I want to thank you for that. With this particular piece, at what part of the wrist/hand should I measure at so that the finished piece isn't too small to roll over the hand and yet not to large to fall off? This is my first time with CRAW and I'm a little nervous.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +MONICA RAINVILLE-BATON Thank you so much for your very kind comment Monica🙏🌻😃 To fit your bangle, make sure the finished piece will slide over the largest part of your hand. Below the thumb joint and around a flat hand with your fingers touching before you sew it together. I estimate an inch to inch and a half bigger than my bracelet size then I try it around to see the fit. I hope this helps 💗

    • @MRB465
      @MRB465 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry Yes that does help but I'm making it for someone so I won't be able to see the person for her to try it on first before sewing it together. Can I just get her wrist size at the thumb area?

      Merci beaucoup lilette! Oui, c'est un point difficile à apprendre. Utilisez les gros perles pendant un certain temps jusqu'à ce que vous vous sentez à l'aise. Ensuite, essayez des perles plus petites. Tu peux le faire!!!

    Thank you for this tutorial, so much easier having a visual. One question do I not have to reinforce the top of the pearl units?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Susan Williams You're welcome 😊 I'm not sure what you mean? The pearls are reinforced throughout the bracelet. Could you be more specific?

    • @susanwilliams3598
      @susanwilliams3598 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I watched your craw square video and after doing all 4 sides you went up and stitched through the 4 top beads, I guess I assumed you needed to do that with all craw.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Susan Williams oh ok gotcha! I don't stitch through the last unit when making this piece because it is reinforced by the next row. I find that there is too much thread in the beads if I go around the end of every unit especially when the next row takes care if that. If I have an end that is open then I reinforce around that end to secure the end beads. That's my way of doing it but you can reinforce every end if you think it needs it.

      You can learn this stitch. Use big beads to practice. Also, try my Mega Bangle. It is Prismatic RAW and is easier than CRAW 😉 I’m a message away for help and encouragement 🌸

      here it is late night, but following your advice and reassured by your message of encouragement, I managed to do PRAW and CRAW. I only did samples, but in the end the mechanism came into my head. Now I'm following this bangle and tomorrow I'll try a new project. Dear, you're a great teacher !!! Thank you so much :)

      I know using size 11’s is a challenge so start with larger beads. I promise if you use say size 8 or 4mm check fire polish beads you will get it. I started using 6mm fire polish and graduated down in size. It works. Once you get this stitch down you will take off with it. Your pattern is 3,2,2,1.... remember to turn your work.
