    As someone who only uses wildfire and size 12 john james needles for everything you do need to flatten the end down to thread the needle but no issues with any of it. Love this bracelet!

    I haven't been beading for a while, but I seem to be getting my interest back, and watching your videos has helped with that. I happened to see this on the list... I almost feel like I have to make this one now. Perfect name and symbolism for 2020, I think. You were ahead of the times. :)

    I use one thing for beading, sewing, murals, etc. the very most......painters tape. Been doing all sorts of stuff for 60 years and when they came out with that I grabbed it up for temporary any thing. It's great for marking margins on you sewing machine. Straight edges on a painting. Making dolls. But what I have found is beading it seems to work incredibly well. When I was teaching my granddaughter how to bead I gave her a roll for holding strings or sections of beads temporarily. She uses it all the time. The knot in this project could be held in place for a beginner till they get the hang of holding it with thumb and for finger. Learning beading is tense and that allows the student to concentrate on what they are doing until they learn it. Not trying to be a know it all. Just a suggestion.

I also have some gorgeous box clasps in my shopping cart with a fave supplier. (Just waiting for next billing cycle on my CC acct. ha ha) Thanks for the great tutorial!

    As usual a beautiful design. I’m not sure if I’m the only one not getting this but I wasn’t sure how many beads to start with. I figured if the bracelet is 7 inches and the beaded portion is 6 inches (with an inch for clasp) and you said to add another 1-1 1/4 inch to each side, I should make it about 7 inches. So folded in half it would be 3 1/2 inches. So at 13 beads per inch I add 91 beads. Is that correct or am I completely off? Thank you again for a beautiful design!

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Louanne Fournier You’re right on track Louanne😊 Hold the knotted piece around your wrist to make sure your fit is good. The numbers are good but how it looks around your wrist is better. There is room for adjustment by loosening or tightening the knot.

    • @elizabethmoreno2120
      @elizabethmoreno2120 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what happens when you make the bracelet too short, any way to add or just find someone with small wrists? It is 5.5 inches before I add the clasps. Thank you, I love this design.

    I use wildfire with size 12 needles all the time. You just have to smash the end of the thread between a pair of flatnose pliers. The thread is round so it doesn't fit well through the oblong eye of the needle. if you smash it down it fits well.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +VirgoMoon9675 Yes I use a flatnose as well. Could be my needles have a particularly small eyes 🌻😊

    • @jenblunt3604
      @jenblunt3604 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      VirgoMoon9675 I always run the tip of the thread through my fingernails!!

    • @jerseyMACgirl
      @jerseyMACgirl 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I sometimes do that too. However, I do find that it can sometimes cause the thread to bend or curl a little bit where as using the pliers keeps it nice and straight. That being said, either method will help get that thread through the needle.

    Hi Stephanie! I bought the green Wildfire thread a while ago so it would be less visible and as I was beading, the color stripped off! Haven't used it since, but now, so many beaders are using it, I'm wondering if I just got a defective roll. I guess if no one else is having this problem, it was just me! 😕. By the way I contacted Hillary to order a mat. She's super nice!! Thanks for the tip! 😊

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Anna Centanni I had that happen once when my needle eye was too small for the thread. The needle scraped the top layer. I use a size 10 or 11 Pony beading needle with Wildfire. I use 6lb Fireline with a size 12. I love RingBerries mats! Super colors and quality. Hillary is great🌺

    • @angelinaneau1427
      @angelinaneau1427 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anna Centanni, I do not know where you purchased the thread, however, you can tell them what happened and they should send you a replacement. I have had my Fireline replaced from the manufacturers themselves. I hope that this helps.

    • @peacheserrano1
      @peacheserrano1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Brenda Classen yea I'm sure you can as long as they're 4mm. I've done many of Steph's projects and I did her regular Corona bracelet and used 4mm pearls instead, it came out beautiful. So I'm sure you can use fire polish, pearls, bicones, rounds, as long as it's 4mm. Just a little help for both you and Steph. She's my favorite bead teacher.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Brenda Classen Yes as emanuel said. Choose your clasp and any 4mm should do. A bangle would require a different pattern as this is a flat bracelet that wouldn’t roll on the wrist very easily. Good idea though 🙏🌻😃

      +rose gaither Thank you rose🌺 Wildfire is a thermally fused beading thread made by Beadalon. It comes in a few diameters and lb weights. I use the .006 inch 0.15 diameter in Black for most beading projects. Check out Beadalon’s website for more info. The best thing about it is the color doesn’t come off on my fingers🌻 It’s alsoa bit stiffer than Fireline. I still use Fireline as well.

    What are the details of the Wildfire? Diameter, strength?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Domesticdiva10 The Wildfire I use is .006 and .15 diameter. Go to the beadalon website to see other sizes and colors. Most bead websites have Wildfire as well. Craft stores such as Michael’s, Joann etc might also have it.

    Sorry but I didn't understand how many beads I have to fit on the wire?Thanks a lot❤️

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      patty Welsh You mean the thread? There are about 13 - 8/0 seed beads to an inch. Multiply 13x the number of inches of your bracelet minus about an inch for the clasp. Add about 10-15 extra beads to each thread to accommodate the knot. That being said, you must also hold it around your wrist as you sew to fine tune the fit. I hope this helps😃

    This ?will be my first project. Have watched the video three times and think I can do it. Does Wildfire just come in one size or width?

    Did I miss it - how many 8/0s do you start with on your thread?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I might redo this video to make it easier but until then, this is what i did. I used a measurement not the amount of beads to start. So you'll use your bracelet size and add about 1 1/4 inches to accommodate the knot in the center. You are going to fold each of pieces over and knot them together. I explain it in the beginning of the video. So if my bracelet size is 7 inches with a clasp (6 inches of beading and 1 inch for clasp), I'd make two pieces 6 inches long. Add about an inch or 1 1/2 inches to each piece to accommodate the knot. Folded over and knotted you should have close to six inches. The clasp adds the rest.

    Hi Steff, Favor to ask, Could you please show how you make the bangle that is made with herringbone stitch where 4- Size 8 beads are used ,then there is Size 10 beads are 2-3-4 beads gradually added to two sides then there is the decrease of 2-3-4 beads on each side there is no twist to this bangle. Show the twist in a bangle would be awesome also. Your tutorials are so fantastically well explained also you don't bead like a mad woman trying to avoid from making a part 2 video lol, Ha Ha. I just made that saying up :) Part 2's are okay with me but my beads fly around trying to keep up. Yes there's the speed control but really watching a well explained video hearing a slow-moe voice and falling asleep with a needle stuck in your finger. To funny of a thought lol...~~~ :)

      I’m not sure which bangle you are talking about 🧐 Is it my design?

    • @HAPPYBEADER9591
      @HAPPYBEADER9591 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. I've looked have not seen one yet on your tutorial page here. It may help if I told you the full name lol. Tubular herringbone 4-bead's used in the making the bangle. Work the 4- bead's for about 4 row's then you start 2 splits one on each side going around adding smaller beads in split of each side as you go around.
