😮 wow! That was a moving rendition. His voice is superb and he took care on every word. I'll leave it to my mum to describe it - "Gosh, his voice is strong!", "His voice is powerful, marvellous". I think Dan has a new fan. This a great reaction, thanks Juliet 🙂
I guess it's exactly this, what attracts so many of us to Dan's voice and videos. His ability to always go all in, living and singing the emotions in a way that you just can't go untouched.
Thank you for your very emotional reaction to Dan's Nessun Dorma. You are not alone in admiring his amazing vocal skills. Dan is part Italian and listened to opera with his late father, so I know the emotion he conveyed was very genuine. I always look forward to your reactions, especially of Dan, and hope you will continue to treat us with more of them.
This song is very special to Dan. Hence the emotion. His Father(Passed in 2017) and Dan would listen to Pavoratti while in the car. His Father loved Pavoratti and Elvis. Dan's Father died before he got to see Dan accomplice his dream of becoming a TH-cam sensation.. This song gets me every time I hear Dan sing it.
Thank you my friend I’m so glad you did this love ya him and his Dad listened to this as a kid this song is very special to him thank you for this incredible reaction my talented friend we are very happy you did this looking foward to the next one he has more opera in his channel it will blow you away as well like the phantom of the opera and he also has some duets with a couple operatic songs as well thanks again🤩❤️
Dan is just mind blowing in everything he sings. He absolutely puts his heart and soul into it. As others have mentioned, this song does have a lot of emotional connection to his father. Dan is a musical wonder as he is so versatile. I haven't seen anyone who can top Dan's versatility. I just love your genuine and informative reactions to Dan, thankyou very much!😃
When I looked again, you're right his eyes were glassy and red obviously brought a tear to his eye. Isn't it wonderful when singer surpasses our expectations and he performs his heart out, well done Master Vasc the King of Vocals!
Yup she is going to see Dans theater skills I’m so glad she made it to this one she will need a box or 2 of tissues for this one your right I hope it’s very soon she has such a huge list it always take a long time but worth the wait for her to
This performance by Dan is stage worthy. In my opinion, Dans voice is right up there with the best opera singers. It’s hard to believe that he recorded this in his garage, no high tech recording studio and no professional orchestra. His talent is just amazing! Many thanks for reacting to this one!
❤ Dan lives his music.... that is part of the reason we love his music so much. He puts so much emotion into every single song he does. This is so beautiful he brings me to tears... Thank you for your wonderful reaction... ❤
I know ykou would love Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera as well as Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. They both show his tremendous talent.
Please of you want to see how many breath controle Dan Vasc has, watch Black wind fire and steel ‼️‼️ He almost goas k.o at the end.. he gives always 200%.. Also watch wat he has to say after the song please ‼️
He means every syllable of that last, "I will win!" Many fans are aware of his past mental health struggles. Conquering those demons are what made him the man he is today, but those of us who have suffered depression know the beast is always lurking, waiting for weakness to show. But Dan will never surrender, and that's evident in every note he sings.
Thank you for your continued support and wonderful response to this fantastic cover by Dan. The diversity in Dan's music catalog is astounding. If you don't find your favorite songs there, you may never have one. If you still think a metal singer can't sing ballads, musicals or operas, here's the proof. thank you for sharing.....

Love your reaction to this ! Very emotional cover! Please more reactions to Dan ! Check out the Music of the Night and Gethsemane is absolutely incredible !
Opera Dan is a beautiful thing to behold & is fully displayed in his version of Nessun Dorma. Gives me goosebumps from head to toes every time I hear this. His paternal side is Italian, and he actually stated recently that he's learning Italian. If you love Nessun Dorma, you'll also love Dan's duet w/Alina Leznik doing Bocelli's and Brightman's "Time to Say Goodbye". His Phantom of the Opera covers are amazing, too: "Phantom of the Opera" duet w/Dragica, "All I Ask of You" w/Alina Leznik, and DEFINITELY ... "Music of the Night". Then, of course, there's Dan's other stage worthy performance of "Gethsemane" from the Jesus Christ Superstar rock opera. No matter where you stand on the actual scriptural issues with the song, there's no way to deny the fact that Dan's performance of "Gethsemane" is stellar both vocally & theatrically. The man is a treasure trove of musical ability. Thank you for your great reaction & and in-depth vocal analysis, which only gives more reason to admire him.
Dan sings this with the emotion that this requires. a very emotional song, a love song in my 70 years I have heard so many Great Tenors sing this.. Dan is up there amongst them, one little thing always bugs me.. the very last O Dan sings it too open, not the full O shape of mouth hardly noticeable but I did and now I cannot un notice it...Great reaction Thank you so much.
I loved ur reaction to Dan. He truly is unbelievably talented no matter what he sing. He gives it his all..heart...soul and mind. To me he is the best singer out there..ty for ur great review
Dan’s operatic abilities are superb!!! This is what I call musical and vocal perfection!!! All the masterful skills, with all the masterful heart. This rendition moves me beyond what words can describe. Dan is able to bring heaven to earth to our ears, but also to our hearts, which also causes the soul to be deeply moved. The deep longing and craving I have always had, desiring to hear such exquisite musicality, has finally been realized, by The One and Only, Treasure From Brazil….Dan Vasc. If I may, I will give him right here my permanent standing ovation, because Dan is worth the honor. 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
This reaction was what we as Vasc Nation love this is by far a reaction we can truly appreciate thank you this is wonderful I can speak for all of us you nailed it we love ya my friend the wait for this one was truly worth it thanks again and have yourself an epic blessed day the last goodbye from the Hobbit is a very beautiful piece from Dan please put this one on your list thank you and Dan sings the song over the recording he re sings everything he does that’s why it looks like he’s singing it there because he is he is. Actually singing it
Try this: Dan goes fully into character, even more than in the Nessun Dorma, in a song where the lead character of a song cycle is having a near death experience. Son of Pain 😭😭😭
So delighted with your reaction to this beautiful rendition by my favorite singer!! It is so beyond outstanding, and it soothes my soul that felt it also. Thank you, my dear!
What a great commentary on this beautiful performance. Dan is the real thing. I loved listening to your analysis. Thanks so much. I’ll second the many requests for The Music of the Night and Gethsemane, and Burn Butcher Burn if you would like to be blown away. ❤️
I have goosebumps over my hole body. Love from Norway❤ I don’t know if you have reacted to Gethsemane with Dan and The song of the night. You really should
Dan has talked about, how his father loved this song, and how they used to listen to that and other opera songs when going on roadtrips in the car, and that his greatest sorrow is, that his father died never having seen his son succeed. So it's easy to imagine, and very visible to see exactly what he was feeling performing this song 6 months after his father passed. I believe he sang that last extra climax, that last 'vincero' (i will win), for his father, and not just to show off.
His tears are real and have to do with his beloved father who passed away. He shared his love of opera from the time Dan was little. I read a comment on X about Dan’s ability to sing opera. All one lady could say was “please don’t “ and continued to criticize him along with one other man. Complete snob and snark. He it’s brilliant and I consider him a gift to us.
If those "critics" were opera singers, I'd love to see/hear them pull off a song that is as difficult to sing on a good day, while fighting off genuine emotion and real tears. I believe this was his first recording of an operatic piece since his father had passed a few months before and opera was a passion that they'd shared since Dan was very young. I'm not a singer, but I often have difficulty even speaking when I'm very emotional. To do such an incredible job in the state that he was in at the time, shows just how amazing Dan is. Those people just sound bitter and possibly even jealous.
I can’t even speak sometimes when I’m in an emotional state. I’m so happy he found the courage to sing this masterpiece. He deserves every bit of praise❤
I was raised on classical music & have heard a lot of professional opera singers & I must say Dan can hold his own with any of them. We'll done Dan. Dan just oozes talent!
He is amazing ❤ can sing anything wow. Love your reaction 👍🏻 Another artist that is amazing and can sing anything is Erik Grönwall. Dan has done some videos with Erik 🤩 Please react to Erik Grönwall A rocksinger singing ”I will always love you” (Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston), you will not regreat it, I promise ❤
He is so into this song he truly does sell it. To me who is not an opera fan. He just lives the song as he sings it. Thank you for reviewing his amazing job on this.
I believe i heard in an interview that he did the crescendo 2x ...once because its called for, and the second time for his father, who loved this piece of music. This was made about the time of his father's passing from cancer.
Per his own discussion about this song, he was very much moved to tears as he was thinking about his father while singing this song. His father had recently passed away when he did this recording.
My grandson (a treble) put me on to your channel, which I am enjoying greatly. Never having had a woman voice coach, I was particularly interested in your perspective. I was fortunate in having a voice which effectively paid for my schooling, being a Westminster Abbey chorister and later a soloist. In this context I'd love to hear your analysis of Cormac Thompson (perhaps Empty Chairs to begin). Even though my range has deteriorated now that I'm past 75, I love to see gifted young singers. Here, Jacob Collier has bown me away. His live at Mahogany video of his composition Little Blue is just amazing. Please keep up your great channel. The four of my grandsons who sing much enjoy your take on music, as does my youngest son, now in a jazz/rock band at uni. Btw, don't ignore us "oldies". Your analysis of Cleo Laine (perhaps with guitarist John Williams) would be appreciated.❤
What an excellent dissection of this piece of music and Dan's incredible voice and talent. I really appreciate your 'Reaction" style and ability to explain what is hapoening in such an articulte fashion without being too technical. In my opinion, Dan is the BEST performer on TH-cam and will comoare very favorably to ANYBODY in the entertainment world of vocalalists! He is just incredible in his various talents and you have become one of my very favorite "Reactors."
Dans mostly italian. Dans songs are "lip synced" he records in his studio, he then re performs/sings the song for the video portion. He says were he records his video isn't suited for audio recording, but what you are watching is him actually singing. Your watching a "live" recording but your hearing a studio recorded song. Not sure of anyone else that does it that way. His cover of "angels we have heard on high" is another great operatic style of song. I would recommend checking out some of his Manowar stuff though. He's working in a tribute album for Manowar that's how much they have inspired his style. "Black wind fire and steel" is a very very impressive feat of vocal strength by dan
If there's a "popular" style of music that is good training for opera, that is power metal. Pushing out high notes for up to two hours, over huge instrumentals, with extra abdominal pressure to be able to get the distortion, that will develop some stamina...
I am concerned he doesn't know just how great he is and the future he could have. I think this song has a connection to his dad, I think it was his dad's favorite.

Dan was thinking about his father who had died they loved listening to opera together
