On black wind fire and steel, the last note he holds for at least 30 seconds, you can see at the end, the way he bends over, that he almost passed out because of that, worth exploring.
Dan is incredible. I love the tone and the power behind his voice. He exudes so much strength and confidence. What a fabulous performance! He was just in full Dan Vasc mode. That's a mesmerizing presentation. Thank you for your review and analysis .
Thank you for your insightful analysis of Dans singing. I love learning more about his techniques in producing his beautiful tones from your reactions and appreciate his uniqeuness as an artist. He spent time in the Brazilian army and is certainly trained in singing styles, theatre and production. He is a perfectionist.Listen to Nessun Dorma for his operatic style ...it's inspiring....but he is soooo versatile.
Great and respectful critique of Dan's vocal skills. The other comments answered some of your questions. He certainly brings the excitement to a performance doesn't he? ❤
Hi Juliet ! Loved your reaction, analysis and words about Dan. I love this boy. He is amazing. Listen Adeste Fidelis( more power) and Handel's Halleluiah (One Man Choir). Is insane and beautiful. ❤ Rio-Brazil
I'm always blown away by Dan Vasc's musical ab ilities! Your analysis makes me appreciate even more what this master vocalist does with music and singing. Thank you ❤ btw, Dan was indeed in the Brazilian military right out of high school 😊
My mom's name was Gloria. She always claimed this song as hers. She would have loved this version and Dan. He always is epic and makes us all have an epic day.
Such an impressive and powerful performance from Dan, especially the last verse. Thank you so much for sharing your incisive reaction, it’s really appreciated. ✨🌟✨
Loved your reaction, your analysis was fun and it helps to appreciate Dan's work even more. For more Dan covers, I'd recommend 'I'll make a man out of you' (Mulan), 'My mother told me', 'Scarborough Fair' and of course 'Nessun Dorma'. Or any other of Dan's covers 🥰
Military, music, voice. He taught voice for a living at one time. It shows. All of it shows. As well as so many hours of dedication to craft. If you want to see lung capacity, watch Black Smoke, Fire and Steel. The last note is held, at my last attempt to count, 30+ seconds. It's insane. Please, even if you don't review it, watch that late note. Number of the Beast is second only to Black Smoke. His cover of that iconic Iron Maid descending scream will leaved you breathless. But it didn't leave HIM breathless. He is a wonder to behold.
BEAUTIFUL 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Dan's vocals deserve a rewind again and again haha YAY! Thank you for yet another fantastic reaction to our fave ❤❤❤❤ ins9 enjoy hearing your information on all the reasons we are absolutely hooked on this singer!
Thank you for your reaction. Dan is quite amazing to hear. As was said in previous comments, adeste fideles is powerful and fun. Also, his Nessum Dorma is just incredible to hear. He does a few songs from Phantom of the Opera, Music of the Night is one of my favorites. His acting ability in those songs is spectacular to see. As for a crazy sustained note, a heavy metal song, Black Wind fire and steel, I think he does a sustained scream for about 33 seconds. His vocal abilities shine in Mulan's I'll Make a Man Out of You. You get about everything in that one. Dan is classically trained and was a voice teacher.
I love languages also and I believe Dan Vasc is the best singer on TH-cam and in the world as we know it. He has amazing lung capacity among other virtues such as being a great looking man. Thank you for your reaction. Check his Burn Butcher Burn and I'll Make a Man Out of You. He served in the Brazilian military as a young ma.
If we want God to return, we just need to send Dan out to sing. I feel like the world would have to stop to hear him sing, and the heavens couldn’t help but to descend as well…. Truly Truly Amazing!
A more metal version of a Christmas Hymn is Adeste Fidelis. A look into his power metal covers might be in order, just so you get a feel for how neoclassical that style really is. Start with Dawn of Victory, a duet with the original singer, Fabio Lione, originally singer of Rhapsody, now with Brazil's own Angra. A little curiosity: Dan's favorite singer, Eric Adams of Manowar, once recorded the song Father in 13 different languages.
Thank you for your detailed analysis! Those insights on Dan's songs are very interesting, always learning something new. And to answer your question about the military background: yes, he was in the brazilian army, but I don't know for how long exactly. Dan also does his workout every day, so his upright body posture comes naturally by now. About the choir: if I remember correctly it's 60 tracks of him 😅
I love to watch your reactions to Dan’s videos! The way you point out his multitude of amazing skills is very much appreciated, & enlightening for this DV fan! Thank You! 🎙🎶🎸🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Maintaining Dan's operatic strike I would suggest his "Adeste Fideles", last year's metal Christmas song and also his "Halleluja-One man choir". You will love it and we will love to listen to your insight on Dan's performances. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the great reaction and analysis. I stand in awe of his amazing vocal skills and appreciate the years of training he dedicated himself to, to become the singer he is today. Dan's Adeste Fideles will provide you with the metal aspect. He really rocks it out. You really must hear his Nessun Dorma, too. I enjoy all your reactions.
60 choir overlays. 😀1 year mandatory in the army, I believe. I always get a lot of satisfaction from listening to the glorias, because of the training I had so many years back, in which it was a HUGE rule, that one was NOT allowed to pause for or take a noticeable breath anywhere in the middle of any of the phrases...no matter what. I was really happy when you caught the fact that Dan goes even beyond THAT, as more than once he goes right into a "glorious" gloria, without any hint of a noticeable intake of breath. I love watching him occasionally GET a bit of a breath, but most people will never see it, because once in a while he will carry through a phrase with a little sneaky catch of air that most people never notice. Plus it's quite obvious that he knows exactly what to do with his vocal cords, so that most of the time, you'll never see him take a breath at all...unless he's going for an effect. Thanks for a great reaction. I enjoyed it very much.
Glorious!!! Thank you for your reaction and commentary, especially of those beautifully held notes. Dan's breath control is always amazing and a joy to behold. He is releasing a new Christmas song, but we don't know when it's dropping. We are holding our collective breaths, which pale in comparison to Dan's lung capacity. Looking forward to your next DV reaction. Merry Christmas, and thanks again!
Thank you so much for great reaction to Dan's brilliant performance! I love and respect him💗 He has worked so hard to reach this level of perfection and deserves very bit of our praise. If you haven't subscribed to his channel yet , please do. He has a goal of 1 million subscribers and yippy just a touch more than 80 k to go☺☺☺
12/14/23; 5:14 AM (CST) = 919K subs in place (only 81K to go). Of course, that 919K could be only a few subs away from the change to 920K at any moment. 😀
Btw I have seen a disturbing trend on tube...I will visit someone I know I have subscribed to only to find I am no longer subscribed. I have re-subbed to Dan's site multiple times. W T F?
What an amazing reaction!! Not just the reaction itself but all the things you can teach in a "single" vídeo!! Much love from Brazil and thanks for reacting to Dan!
I remember when the Beatles were new so I go back quite awhile and have heard a lot of music. Dan may be the best vocalist I've heard in my 77yrs, I really like and appreciate your analysis of the videos you review, especially Angels We Have Heard On High, excellent job. If I may be so bold I would like see your analysis of the cover of Seal's Kiss From A Rose where Dan teams up with Violet Orlandi, it is very good. Live Long and Prosper.
Thank you for doing more Dan I love your advice on vocal technique I’m not a singer but I appreciate what you do I play guitar well it’s been a while I played for 50 years but stopped a many of times over the years due to life situations it’s funny how all instruments are the same with everyone voice to is a wonderful instrument check out the last stand bySaboton Dan will blow you away again
I really love your reactions, especially the ones for Dan. So well explained what is going on. Would you please react to his Phantom 'the music of the night'? Greetings from Germany Judith
Hi Judith, thank you SOOO much for the super thanks! It's a true pleasure to react to Dan, he's amazing! I've got "Music of the Night" on my list for sure! Liebe grüße ❤️
Thanks for your excellent analysis on Dan Vasc. Dan Vasc has a beautiful, powerful voice and a beautiful vocal color. ❤️🤘. The song “The Music of the Night” from the Phantom of the Opera is recommended and beautiful to watch 💕
loved your reaction and insights, Adeste Fideles is another impressive Christmas Hymn by Dan.. would love your insight into that one too... I can now only hear Dan's version of both... so won't be singing in the congregation this year, just in case Dan's version breaks through😂 and yes Dan was in the military in Brazil and has an intense workout programme and controlled diet, all round great specimen of a 34 yr old male.
Now, you SHOULD sing in the congregation this year...after practicing with him a couple of extra times. Then you could really surprise everyone, and then explain where it came from! 😀
Thanks so much for a great reaction. If you want a really epic military type Song, try The Last Stand, Sabaton cover. Yes, you are right. He was in the Brazilian army.
Rewatching your Dan reaction again and wondering if you have seen his new Christmas song dropped on 12/22/23? You MuSt react to it!!! Even now after Christmas!! Epic and he and Victor melted our faces as he said they would!!!🫠🤯🫡💪🏼 and yes he was in the Brazilian army! Check out how long his magnificent hair is… it really shows when he gets to the English section!! 😉🤗💪🏼 also his An American Trilogy that he did 6 yrs ago after week after his Father died will bring you to your knees… have a tissue hands, even in deep grief his technique is amazing and he shows a precious vulnerable side! (Just listen to it for yourself!)
Spot on! He did serve time in the military. Thank you for pointing out the different techniques and how they work. I envy those who can speak various languages. I would like that. Dan is...... I'm running out of words to express my appreciation of such great talent. Dan puts a smile 😊 on my face every day.
Oh my god! Absolutely stunning. So beautiful. I am in awe. I always notice posture in others. I've only seen two people in my life with such excellent posture. Love it.
I believe Dan does have vocal training. Check him out singing Nessun Dorma by Puccini. He does not turn it into metal at all. One of my favorite performances of Dans.
Dan is classically trained too and his posture is due to that, you can also see GETHSEMANE - Jesus Christ Superstar which is fantastic, tksss teacher, new Christmas cover 2023 is coming... Happy Christmas s2
😯 Love this guy's voice - Juliet, easy to see why you get enthusiastic to Dan. 🎅Dear Santa, maybe not this year, but within 5 years, I would like to hear Dan and Lucy Thomas dueting together , thanks 🥳
I agree! I was thinking that just a few days ago! Another one I heard through a reaction yesterday (I don't watch AGT, usually), is Putri Ariani. She's very young, still, but not a whole lot younger than Lucy, AND she has a very flexible, voice and can do both growls and screams! I was quite impressed!
@@GrandmasGotGraceLW I can't disagree with you there. All these young singers seem so versatile. Yes, Lucy tends to not want to do a lot of growls and 'screams' but you can get a hint of what she can do on 'I don't want to miss a thing'. I was imagining a musicals style duet (Broadway/Disney), but sure, he and Putri could do some excellent Whitney/Mariah type vocal gymnastics together. It's all good 🙂
Lucy and Martha Thomas just released another Christmas song. Mary did you know. Oh my God are they growing up. Seems like Lucy added a note or two to her repertoire. They sound awesome!👍🌹❤️
Loved your analogy of Dan’s expression as a rheostat, also agree and I’ve often thought this on several of his covers. A slight upturning of his mouth in preparation for delivering massive awe to his audience. I love, love, love this commanding, powerful cover of Dan’s. Thank you for a very informative and enjoyable reaction. 😊. Encore, YES!!!
I LOVE your analysis of this (and the other Dan Vasc songs that you’ve covered)! I like that you pointed out that he has a sectional contrast in many of his songs. I didn’t quite know the words to describe that. Thank you.
Just discovered your channel. Omg… a reaction on TH-cam from someone who is actually qualified to inform us! First time I watched your channel and I’m subscribing! Thank you for your work.
Dan actually does a One Man Choir of the Hallelujah Chorus, too. It's fantastic with Soprano, Alto, Tenor, & Bass sections in the frame. Another Christmas song he does with his powerful vocals is Adeste Fidelis (O Come All Ye Faithful in Latin). Both are awesome. Then there's his Nessum Dorma. OMG how truly phenomenal that one is! He also did Andrea Bocelli's "Time to Say Goodbye" duet which is impressive, as well. Just a few of Dan's many wonderful works which would take too long & too much space to list. He's quite mesmerizing. Lol.
Great review, thank you! It's hard to pick a favorite Dan song... a few of my top faves are Adeste Fideles, “The Music of the Night” from the Phantom of the Opera, Bohemian Rhapsody and Gethsemane. But you really can't go wrong with any of Dan's covers!
Dan also did O Holy Night. Another good one to check out with some great surprises. :) loving your analysis videos! :) I aslo second what others said about Black Wind Fire and Steel and Iron Maiden. Definitely worth a view and an analysis. :)
Outstanding reaction, loved all your critiques! Your explanations of what he is doing to get the performance perfect is so interesting and informative. Tytytyvm… another song he does where he holds the last note soooo long is a Manofwar cover…Black wind fire and Steel, absolutely 🤯💪🏼🤘🏼🧔🏻♀️🫡 he should be getting ready to release this years Christmas song 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 He also sang a few Christmas songs with Orion Duran!! Fun, whimsical and Operatic!!! He is non-stop magnificent!!🫶🏻🥰🧔🏻♀️🤘🏼💪🏼🤘🏼🫡😉🙏🏼🎄
That would actually be a tremendous one for her to react to. The lyrics in that version are quite different from our own English version. They are much stronger. Tommy sings it in Swedish, but the lyrics are easy to find. I was in awe of that version of the song, and of course, Tommy does a tremendous job with it.
On black wind fire and steel, the last note he holds for at least 30 seconds, you can see at the end, the way he bends over, that he almost passed out because of that, worth exploring.
Yes, plus he REALLY works that long, long hold, by a little special maneuvering, along with Luis' guitar background. It's really fabulous!
If you want to see his lung capacity, try his cover of Black Wind Fire & Steel... 😉
He is magnificent. He leaves me breathless.
Great reaction to Dan, thank you!

Lol.
His version of oh holy night is beautiful
I love the German version as the amazing baritone is really special for me.
I aslo second what others said about Black Wind Fire and Steel and Iron Maiden.
He is good and you talking about O holy night.Take that in Swedish and Tommy Johansson
That would actually be a tremendous one for her to react to. The lyrics in that version are quite different from our own English version. They are much stronger. Tommy sings it in Swedish, but the lyrics are easy to find. I was in awe of that version of the song, and of course, Tommy does a tremendous job with it.
He was in the military 🥰
