- In the second year of famine, Joseph's half brothers were sent to Egypt, by their father Israel, to buy goods. When they came to Egypt, they stood before the Vizier but did not recognize him to be their brother Joseph. However, Joseph did recognize them and did not receive them kindly.
Teary eyed upon watching Joseph's story in the Book of Bible. Never get tired watching it over and over..
How wonderfully God planned the life of Joseph. He has great plans for our lives too.
As a child: 5-years and onward, my Dad told me many Bible stories. I amazed everyone in Bible school by being able to share the story of Joseph in detail. God has bless us two wonderful sons. Joseph and Benjamin.
Praise God in Jesus' mighty Name. Our God of the Bible can turn hopelessness and sorrow into complete joy and fulfillment. By His Name we are blessed and have eternal security!

I could relate to Joseph story which I have read many times over and over with teary eyes. In a lesser degree I have live a life of Joseph's misery and triump that it happened to me three times in my life.

Yeah I guess but why did Joseph have to be enslaved and imprisoned for half his life for this to happen? Like why couldn’t God just go all burning bush and be like “hey you need to be in Egypt in some 20 odd years. Find a shifty cup bearer in a prison and use your powers to get in with the Pharaoh. Thx”

Yes I understand. First the cruelty he experienced because of his brother's jealousy was heartbreaking. Joseph suffered unjustifiably, but then all the suffering from them and at the hand of Potiphar's wife being thrown into prison, turned into an abundant, honorable God-fearing life in which he blessed many. What man meant for evil, God meant it for his good! God will always get the glory if we trust him through our trials!
