@@pikapi6993 The problem is that if we portrayed Jesus as white it is acceptable but if He is portrayed as black, it is like we have committed a serious crime. Besides, I think it is rather easy to determine the color of the people in that region during the time Jesus lived. This is not hidden. Ancient Egyptians undoubtedly were black.
@@bindy63 I have never seen that happen in my entire life. There are tons of "black" Jesus, if by "black" you mean brown skin. I am an Ethiopian Christian and our people always portrayed him that way. I have seen tons of artists on instagram making art like that, but zero complaints only compliments.I have seen a Chinese Jesus, but zero complaints. I only ever see people complain if there is a blonde Jesus.
And yes, the people in the Levant did not look like the first Egyptians. The reason why Egyptians became mixed is because people from the Levant migrated there. And Greek people migrated to Canaan and Egypt as well. The ones in Canaan were called the Philistines and were important biblical actors. Back then people didn't give a f about skin colour.
