I dunno what music you guys are doing up there in Scotland, but my Salvation Army corps in Australia are still hooked on the drivel that Hillsong keep churning out, although some of it is great but they have simply just worn the Hillsongs OUT, played them to death, The good 'ol Song Books just sit on the shelf in the foyer and probably haven't moved for 20 years now and it is really sad and repetitive that I hung up my uniform and stopped going there. I am still a Salvationist at heart but they are trying way too hard to be a Mini-Hillsong, and they are churning through some incredibly talented musicians who are bored to death, myself included. The congregation is almost a Family Re-Union every Sunday morning because everybody who goes there is either related or obligated in some fashion. Very sad for a SA corps that was 180+ strong in the mid 90's and a sea of uniforms, now it's your jeans and a polo shirt embroided with a flappy flag emblem on about 30 people, 20 or so other people who turn up just for The Cheap Sunday Morning Concert & the free munchies afterwards, and a mini-bus full of obligated guys from the Red Shield Rehab, who cannot go 45 minutes without a cigarette that gets incinerated 2ft outside the front door as if they are in a cubicle in high school and gotta suck that thing down in 20 seconds before the teacher catches them. I wonder if they realise that they probably don't get a cig for 8-12 hours every night while they're asleep, and every morning they actually wake up with no nicotine in their body and they actually cleared their body and are only psychologically addicted to them before they get their first covfefe in the morning anyway. Speaking of the addiction thing, the poor guys from rehab are usually only there because the court system gave them 2 options - Rehab or jail. So are frowned at like 2nd class citizens by the Polo-Shirt wearing Uniformed Salvationists who have the most heinous caffeine addiction you can smell covfefe coming from their pores... Anyway, How's your Salvation Army in Scotland? ;)
I remember in 1990 when I had a Heart Ablation done in Wyoming. The Surgery was Rough and I died on the table 9 times and coded blue 3 time after the Surgery and spent 3 week total in there. I was able the experience seeing Heaven for the second time. Your song,When Love Brings You there,Steven. Has true meaning to Love when the Father Holds you and keeps you cradled in His Loving hands. I deserve nothing but his eternal wrath, yet, in His Everlasting Mercy He rescued me from the Hell that I had earned, and frankly, continue to earn! However, now, He is sanctifying me for that Last Day when He returns for His Bride, all the saints. Glory to His Holy Name! All Grace to you, in all ways, always. 🙏🏽💒❤️🙏🏽
