MEGALOPOLIS commits the cardinal sin of being utterly bland. Its message is nothing new or profound, and it doesn't even deliver it in an interesting or entertaining way. This isn't a case of "I don't get it" so much as "I don't care." [Insert Tommy Lee Jones FUGITIVE clip here.]
If this had at least been a movie to start conversations, that would count for something. But it's not. The conversations it seems to want to engender can be had--and have been had--without it.
