My husband and I have been watching you guys since the start finally we are heading out this fall we are converting a cargo trailer it's almost ready to go we will be following your lead on lots of those wonderful places you guys go thanks for the inspiration I hope we can run into each other one day
My husband Dave and I are following your Alaskan Highway trip. We made a similar trip in 2022 so it’s kinda nostalgic for us to watch your travels. We also went to Skagway, Homer and Valdez- all a bit off the path but worth it. Are you going to Chena Hot Springs and later the Arctic Circle? That road to the Arctic Circle sign is rough! Take care!
I live pretty small now but would like to live even tinier. That rest stop emergency shelter looked just perfect!! 😄!! So are you guys still planning to try to find accomodation to spend the winter in Alaska? If so, I hope it works out. That would be epic to see thru your camera lens. "Great" brown bear catch 👍. Welcome to Alaska!! Safe travels!! 🥰🌿♥️
+@meglange3595 wow…. That is small! But for one person it is all you need! That hut was probably bigger than our van and the layout was nice! I can see you living in that😃 someday we hope to have a tiny house😃 Looks like we won’t be staying the winter… I don’t know how well we would handle the constant darkness
I am so excited for y'all. What a grand caravan to to travel with. OMG, that bear was so big that at first I thought it was one of your vehicles 😮 Amazing. Safe travels, sendin Grandmama love ❌⭕, Iris and Little One 👋🐾
Very cool, guys. I spent the night in the parking area of that avalanche hut on my way to Haines last year. I knew it was there from previous visits. Got my first windshield divot at Destruction Bay. Can't wait to see where you all go next.
Love the play list and enjoying the videos. Mostly I am glad to travel with you because I think I will not take on the long miles from my Tennessee home. Bless you all and thank you. Pet Roodle for us .
This is a wonderful adventure Dave and Carrie! Thank you for sharing the scenery and wildlife. We always hear about Alaska being home to the wild things and your vlog is showing how real that is. Great video of the grizzly! So much gray and water. Does it depend on altitude like in the Rockies? We are fortunate to have seen Jasper (me last year and you all this year) before the fire that just hit. Safe travels. Can't wait to see what comes next.
It's been interesting guys. I was hoping to make this trip next summer but it's not looking good right now due to life getting in the way. Until I can make this trip I'll have to live vicariously through you guys. Keep the good stuff coming.
Such long drive. I watched every video and I haven’t seen if you fixed the issues with the van. The axel or something? I’ll keep watching the journey. 😊
+@maggiebrattoli383 we think the issue is with the transmission as we had one axel replaced and one rebuilt. We’ve been to 5 mechanics and we couldn’t fix the problem which all points to the transmission. It hasn’t gotten any worse… that’s good news. We still get a shake at 45-55 mph
Was on the other side of the lot. Noticed the red Travato, we have a granite one. Left didn’t want to bother anyone early in the morning. Went and got gas and was on the main road and saw the rest of the vans and had a feeling it was you guys. Safe travels.
+@craigbrowning9448 maybe…. I’ve been watching his videos😃 we hope to do the dempster highway…. I think that is where we would most likely catch up to him
Carrie, when doing a selfie on your phone, in the settings, change the camera to flip the image. (Note on your phone it will still look flipped, but when you at photos or videos they will be normal) this always bothered me for years. Love your Alaska series.❤🥰👍
We laughed about the bear proof garbage cans in the middle of nowhere Canada. Then when we got to Alaska we carried trash around for days until we could find a place to dump. No more laughing about the Canadian garbage cans.
+@craigbrowning9448 yeah…. Driving days are hard for the Doodle. We usually reward him with extra ball time and a chew bone at the end of the day. In addition to breaks along the way that I forget to film.
+@beverlyhendricks9456 you could have done it easily! We just slowed down and it helps if there is a car in front of you! That way you can predict the bumps by how much the car moves😂😂😂
You are encouraging my family to research and plan an Alaskan cruise.
Fantastic wildlife footage!
Thanks for the video. Beautiful scenery and loved seeing the bears.
+@craftytraveler9238 you are very welcome! I’m glad we are here to share it with you! I am loving all the bears!
What great aerial footage of that grizzly! 🤗🤗
Whoa!! The best filming of a grizzly bear ..very cool.... great video guys!
+@deanchambers5934 totally by accident! We didn’t even know he was there when we got the drone up.
You guys seem to find the most excellent places to camp!
+@cindywiech2675 thank you! I would agree with you most of the time! The other “not-so-great” spots are part of the adVANTURE!
I've wanted tor drive to Alaska for many years. It's been great traveling along with you virtually. I look forward to your continued adventure.

That is awesome! A cargo trailer is so versatile! We have thought of doing the same…. Perhaps our next build…. Not anytime soon😂
Poor bear looked so hungry.
+@Helen-mh8mq yes he did! I felt sorry for him! No food from us….human food = dead bear!
What an adventure, a dream come true. Alaska!!!! ✌️❤️🚐
+@msvg3 yes it is! We’ve waited 6 years to be here and it has been amazing!
Alaska... So happy for a great season of the channel. Enjoy and create wonderful videos... can't wait ❤
Great drone footage of the grizzly by the road in the Yukon
Yes it was! He/she was so close that Dave kept the van in drive just in case we needed a fast get away😂😂😂
Yay you posted the dreaded road section, 😂. Cool bear footage!

Yes to all the above…. Except the arctic circle! We tried, it just didn’t work out
I live pretty small now but would like to live even tinier. That rest stop emergency shelter looked just perfect!! 😄!!

Grizzly bear amazing! Trip of a lifetime 🤗

+@mikeholmes5824 very cool! I didn’t know it was an avalanche hut. I’d love to explore that area more.
Love the play list and enjoying the videos. Mostly I am glad to travel with you because I think I will not take on the long miles from my Tennessee home. Bless you all and thank you. Pet Roodle for us .

+@johnnylightning1491 bummer but it will work out eventually. We’ve tried to get here for six years….the wait was worth it!
Great video. Spectacular bear and mountain footage. How are you liking your new toilet?

How far apart are gas stations and rest areas on that highway.?
Were you guys in Fairbanks at pioneer Park on Saturday the 27th?
+@dakmanst yes we were! Still here tonight.
Was on the other side of the lot. Noticed the red Travato, we have a granite one. Left didn’t want to bother anyone early in the morning. Went and got gas and was on the main road and saw the rest of the vans and had a feeling it was you guys. Safe travels.
You might run into Chrome from Vancity Vanlife.
+@craigbrowning9448 maybe…. I’ve been watching his videos😃 we hope to do the dempster highway…. I think that is where we would most likely catch up to him
How many miles have you put on the van?
We are at 137,000
Are food prices expensive in Canada or Alaska?
+@maryj1754 about the same. We seems we have more sticker shock when we shop in Canada but the smaller towns of Alaska are pretty pricey!
@@oneadVANtureatatime - OK I heard that prices in Canada are insane. Alaska can be remote. You probably get what you can get.
Wow, what an incredible journey! So happy you made it to mainland Alaska! We sent you an email, check it out!

That bear was so cool. Didn't seem to have a care in the world. Would hate to see what one of them could do to a rig.
+@danrandall794 YES! Dave has always wanted a bear scratch on the side of the van. That is a bit to close for me 😂
I agree with you. A grizzly could easily rip the skin of the van.
No signs of The Boodle or Noodle of Roodle in this video!
+@craigbrowning9448 yeah…. Driving days are hard for the Doodle. We usually reward him with extra ball time and a chew bone at the end of the day. In addition to breaks along the way that I forget to film.
I keep wishing I’d gone with you until this section.
+@beverlyhendricks9456 you could have done it easily! We just slowed down and it helps if there is a car in front of you! That way you can predict the bumps by how much the car moves😂😂😂
Pretty cool bears are cool .stop tr eli as. Steap fail to me ....
