    Riesco solo a immaginare la soddisfazione di copiare Sargent in questo modo, bravissimo

    Great video! I love your work. This "Capri Girl", Rosina Ferrara, has been painted by some of the greatest artists of that period. By Hyde, who had a studio in Capri, by Sargent several times, by de Pury, by del Campo, Fisher... It seems she was in love with Alfred Stevens but then married Barse and went to live in Queens NY. For quite some time a photo of an old lady also named "Rosina Ferrara" and who resembles Capri Girl a lot has been circulated on the internet. But the old woman, also born in the same region, was 20 years younger then the Capri Girl.

    I loved this and will definitely try it! Thank you so much for inspiring me. Do you think you would ever try painting the Sargent Capri of two women dancing on a roof top. One of my favourite paintings from his paintings from Spain
    Sargent in Spain is such a beautiful book.

      @@olddirtymasters I tried to paint this today, following your process. It was great until my skin tones got too dark . I loved the ochre colours and will def try again . Love the block in method and it really helped. Her eyes were tricky 🙂😏

      Same thing happened to me on my first try and they are still too dark on this one I think.

    Beautiful as usual. Do you paint these in one single session or you leave it to dry for a bit before going for another layer?

    • @olddirtymasters
      @olddirtymasters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Juan:) I usually aim for one session but often have to rework them the next day or two by which time they’re dry.

      For this I used blicck round and filbert bristles and Raphael nylon rounds.
