I know this is general Christian books. I still would like to see Thomas Nelson would update the KJV Apocrypha and attach it to an edition of the NKJV.
Another informative video! It would be great to see you guys talk about theological dictionaries. Google is not always your friend when it comes to the Bible and Theology. One example that comes to mind (that we've discussed before) is that you use the Google definition of concupiscence which paints and entirely different definition than the Bible intends. I have not found a Bible/Theology dictionary that hits the sweet spot for me. Perhaps you could do a review of Theology dictionaries to give us some ideas. Tim's Top Five Theology Dictionaries - kind of thing would be awesome. (BTW, I thought you said in your Douay video that you haven't heard the term concupiscence before - I checked my KJV and it's in there three times - near as I can tell and nine in my Douay.)
Speaking of Pentecostals.... did you know that Virgen Mary was a tongue talking Pentecostal? She was in the upper room when the Holy Spirit fell upon everyone and she was a receiver! ~ Amen?
Great video Tim, I really enjoyed it. Like you I’m Pentecostal and I prefer more supernatural content than theological, The Veil by Blake Healy is another Angels & Demons book I read that was really good. I’m trying to get into the ‘meat’ of the Bible by reading it cover to cover. I don’t want to read too many academic works until I’ve read the whole Bible for myself. I’m not even using study Bibles yet.
The reason I prefer Heiser’s work is because it’s rooted in the scripture. His interpretation of it, granted, but I shy away from those that are overly focused on personal experiences.
Gavin Ortlund's channel Truth Unites is a great resource for learning church history from a protestant perspective. Humble and knowledgeable guy. Solid conservative theologically.
Dude the way he handled that situation with Megan Basham really impressed me. I pray to be able to respond to people who come against me like he handled that.
Thank you for sharing this video. It is good to hear you guys talk about books.
This has been the most interesting portion of the interview so far!
Chris Hall is great! highly recommend his work.
I've been reading a bunch of lutheran. Books recently. Reading the spriituality of the cross right now

It has been about 5 years since I read the KJV, and its easy to overlook unfamiliar words. It just landed with the DR I guess.
Thank you Pastor Tim, another great video. You're right about us Pentecostals going off the rails! 😂

@dayetonlarson8477 I knew she was there when the Spirit fell. So I'd always assumed that she was Spirit baptized.
Isn’t my dad’s Wycliffe bible commentary good enough anymore? Will enjoy your content as always…

I like his channel.

Thanks, great video. Maybe we went off the rails when we decided to have denominations. The Bible is primary in my thinking.
I don't think denominations was a decision. It was more of a result.
who is this guy again?..
His name and title are in the thumbnail. As for me, I am me!
