- Of the hundreds of guns I have owned over the years, I never had an HK. Decided I needed to fix that!
Quick unboxing and impression. All guns are safety checked and no rounds chambered, and handled in a controlled and safe environment. I go over some specs, how it feels, and what I think about it...
I like the pistol with manual safety no matter what...
You’re gonna love it.
Bought a P30 back in March absolutely love it
Yesterday. I became the owner of a HK P30SK too. Nights and 3 mags. (2-12, 1-15). I compared it side by side to a HK VP9SK and it was very difficult to walk out of the store with just the P30SK. I was very impressed with both. I enjoyed your video, thanks.
What variant? V1-Light LEM or V3-DA/SA?
Great little gun. About as small as I can go and still comfortably shoot. The extended mag pinches my pinky finger but fortunately HK recently improved capacity from 10 to 12 on the flush mags and 13 to 15 on the extended. Im good with the 12 round mag when I want the deeper concealment.
Mine are outfitted with grayguns short reset kits and it is a huge improvement over the stock trigger.
Why do we like the same things… I am currently looking at p30’s with ltt
@@randyreviewsit can’t help it if we both have good taste! 😂
I also have a P30SK with 3 different mag extensions. The HK extension, the 13 round HK mag, and another one with a plus 2 extension. All three of them pinches my pinky finger.
The saying that the gun is good for the money definitely applies here. I've heard of HK, but have never held or fired one. A few days ago, I happened to come across another video that was demonstrating this exact model, but don't recall anything regarding the price. Honestly, I just assumed it would be easily over 1k, so I didn't even take the time to look it up. After watching your video, I'm really impressed with the quality you get at the price point you mentioned. Now get to the range!
Excellent video.👌
It's a fantastic pistol. Proper German engineering and execution...
Stick with HK! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
HK > Glock imo
Same 1 and 2 then everyone else
Duhhh
You are wrong. I love both though
@@cecilwilliams8709we can agree to disagree
I love mine. By far one of my top five guns. ❤
Your genuine ness with the dog barking led to me realizing that you had inherently been genuine about the of that gun. That's worth a subscription off the bat
I love my dogs, they are family... But man, its like they know when I am recording and they just act like nitwits...
I love this gun. I really want the MOS version. I bought the MOS version of the Glock 43x and it's a great gun. I'll get the VP 9 soon! Congrats.
OUTSTANDING choice, i have owned the P2000SK for 14 years and it is AMAZING. I LOVE HK handguns and will be buying their new MICRO 9MM that will be on the market soon. You will LOVE this p30SK, i may have to get this one as well.
Is that micro 9 ever coming to the us? I saw something on it like a year ago.
I have one in v1 (LEM) and love it. It has replaced my G26 as my main EDC. I carry it appendix and it disappears comfortably under a tee or a casual button down. Great warm weather option that still has the feel of a full size gun. Btw, I’m in SE Florida so yeah..
What holster??
@@1Floridaman Badger Concealment kydex appendix
@rjo8500 I have the p30sk v1 so I'll look up badger concealment
Does it conceal as good as your 26 did in this humid ass FL weather? I'm considering getting rid of my 19 for a 26 or this P30.
@@spoonbruh741 Yes I have no problem concealing it. Actually it conceals better than my 26 because I won’t carry the 26 AIWB. I’m just not a 100% having a striker pointing towards my Jimmie’s. If you get it I highly recommend stepping up to the light LEM trigger.
I've owned my P30 SK 9mm for almost 2 years now. Approximately 1,500 rounds through it and haven't had a single jam using Blazer Brass ammo. Love this gun! Has the coarsely textured grips that gives secure handling of the gun in either rain, snow, or sweaty hands. Also love the hammer-fire which is SA/DA trigger that makes it a lot more safer than the striker fire guns. Only thing I don't like on it is the chintzy sights that many gun manufactures had started putting on guns so they can then get you to pay more to upgrade to their next level of sight that should of came on the gun in the first place ... my P30 SK WAS NOT inexpensive !
To be fair that SK will take factory HK 20rd mags and an adapter will flush it out.
2:39 Thank you! That is true. Ambidextryous is not a word.
Challenging to find. Had to cross state lines to get my P30. Hands down my favorite pistol
Awesome choice!
I have the P30 V1 LEM trigger. Amazing gun.
I had to stop the video bc I was laughing so hard. When you were going off about the dogs 😂 I feel your pain 😂 I got 4 and once one starts barking, they all start barking. I can’t even hear myself think. They bark at the dumbest shit too. Great video 👍👍
It's funny, because some people enjoy the humor and bloopers, and then some others yell at me and are all angry that I am not getting to the point fast enough for them, or I don't share their opinions... I just roll with it...
HK is still my favorite gun - the P30SK being my number 1 !! Just quality RIGHT out of the box...no need to do anything before you could confidently and literally go to war with it !! THE most comfortable to carry , shoot AND control subcompact there is for me ( and I've rented A LOT of guns at the range ). When their new micro 9mm FINALLY comes out I will buy the very first one I find for sale ( looks like 2025 last I read and I am suffering withdrawal already ) !!
I just acquired this in V1 LEM today. I had it some years ago and sold it and regretted it since, so i was glad to pick this up today
I like the regular p30 best. The SK was not as comfortable in my hands but that’s because the store had the large backstrap on and it felt awkward.
I have one, with safety. Love it.
Just a heads up, you have a P30sks, not just sk. It’s an sks because it has ambi manual safetys. Any P30 model with an extra “s” at the end will have ambi manual safety switches. The “s” means “safe version”.
Not sure if this applies to any other HK models. I got this information directly from HK
If you know you know
I have owned almost as many guns as you and i hold HK pistols in the highest regard, I am not a fan of all these new striker fired pistols and not many options left in the hammer fired catagory
Ordered one today. Almost got the vp9 but I like the Hammer better also. Plus, I already have an HK 45 that is a hammer. I can't wait to get mine so I'm watching you unbox yours. Haha
Was curious if you did any shooting videos with it yet. Just ordered my h&K P30SK LE edition that comes with the manual safety, three magazines, and night sights. Paid $709. This would be my three season carry gun and my summer carry gun is my SIG p365. Thanks for the video
Looking to get it to the range this week, along with the Springfield Ronin 10mm, and the PSA Dagger...
@@SquireSCAlook forward to your opinion
@@johncaban4310 Video is up!
Still relevant! I still want one so bad.
Just subbed based on the ambidextrous comment! 😅 love it
I have s p365xl, but I dont carry with a round in the chamber. I also carry a revolver, so Im comfortable with the double action trigger. I want to start carrying with a round chambered and Id feel a lot more comfortable knowing I can decock and have a heavy first trigger pull. Considering the HK P30SK V3 or a Bersa TPR9c.
Modern pistols are very safe with a round chambered, but you would need to be more careful, I would agree.
6:18 they got that variant, well I know they have it on the usp.
Not questioning your honesty about $700 out the door price, but I have been on the lookout for a p30SK (brand new) for the past 2 years and I have NOT seen anything less than $800 before tax anywhere in the country.
I would post a link to my local dealer, but TH-cam will ding my account for linking to a dealer or whatever nonsense. But that was what I paid at the time. Remember, the video is a year old now. The place is in Gainesville. GA. If you google Georgia Gun Store in that city, you will find them...
I just checked their website, and when I add it to my cart, the price comes up at $683.70... So it's gone up a couple bucks since last year, but still way cheaper than you are finding. This place does tend to have some of the best prices anywhere...
@@SquireSCA No worries - thanks for the tip, will try that out and see if I can get any kind of deal!
@@SquireSCA when you say 'their website' would it be possible to somehow give me a hint of the site? I bet yt would be up in arms (pun intended) if you posted the actual name of the site! :)

Nice!!💪
Aww man I want 1 soo bad, but can't find it anywhere
YES! There is no tree in ambidextrous. 😇
I like hammer-fired semi-autos too, and just sold a USP Compact 9mm that I had an loved for 5 years (just looking for a change - considering the P30SK). I never loved the paddle style mag release, but obviously not a deal-breaker.
The paddle style is actually alot nicer once you get used to it
I like paddle style for carry because there is less of a chance of dropping the mag without knowing in the holster
Groovy.
Why not a kimber?!!!!! That pistol looks lovely though!! Liking the size!
I have owned several Kimbers over the years. Great guns, but not what I was looking for this time around...
@@SquireSCA my man!
I have driven all makes and models of Japanese cars over the years but had never driven a Toyota.
Great review, will get one
I am trying to choose between this one and the Cheetah 80x. I am leaning towards the Cheetah only because of the finishing.
The Cheetah is a cool little pistol, if you don't mind being limited to .380 ACP
@@SquireSCA I don't mind, .380 is fine IMO. I was looking at videos of both, and the Cheetah seems a lot of fun to shoot. I am not sure though
Yea man I’m with yea on that, some dogs just run their damn mouth. It is annoying. I love the honesty man. Nice video by the way 😉
Love my dogs, but they have the worst timing... lol
P30sk v3 with tritium sights. My came with 2 12s and 1 15 rd mags
Mine too. It’s my EDC now and I really like it!
whats the v3 stand for? Im torn between the p30skv3,the hellcat and the sig356sas
How do you like it? Im trying to decide between this and a p365 :( really struggling but i love hammer fire
@joogullae3456 me too, what did you decide? Vs means spurred hammer with long heavy double action pull
@@DavidMilesMusic i got thep30skv3. I love it so much. Dude between the p30sk and the sig365 there really is no comparison. Its so beautiful, shoots so well.i wake up excited justlook at it
Love my VP9SK….
No flush flat floor plate?
There might have been a spare in the box...
This pistol usually comes with a 10 round flush fit and a 10 round extended mag. A 15 round is available through the HK website.
I just picked up a P30SK V1 Light LEM trigger LE package. Night Sights and 3 magazines. (1)12 rd flush fit, (1)12 rd finger extension, and (1)15 rd extended magazine.
When someone says "ambadextreyus," it is impossible to take anything else they say seriously.
Its actually a very common mispronunciation... And it drives me crazy every time I hear it. haha
The P30 SK is great, the tabletop review...meh¡¡¡
It's an unboxing and impression video... what were you expecting? Car chase? Explosions? Gratuitous sex scene? ;-)
Is it P O1 or P zero 1? Dont you just hate when people
do that? 😂Don’t you hate when people use letters instead of numbers…
Lefty or a righty isn’t a word either. Haha jk.
They are words now! Once they are on my channel, they become official. ;-)
It’s called a slide lock Einstein, not slide release.
Yeah, sometimes when I "wing it" I forget a common word, and later when I watch it, I am like, how the F did I mess that word up? lol
Of course if I wanted to be pedantic, I would point out that its a slide STOP, not a slide lock... ;-)
Some interesting reading: patriotfirearmsschool.com/blogs/news/slide-lock-vs-slide-release
"Glock calls the component a “slide stop lever,” Smith & Wesson calls it a “slide stop,” Sig Sauer calls it a “slide catch lever,” and Heckler & Koch calls it a “slide release.” "
From another article: www.nrawomen.com/content/understanding-gun-handling-terminology-slide-lock-and-how-your-gun-gets-there/
"What Does Slide Lock Refer To?
Simply put, slide lock refers to locking the slide back or open on a semi-automatic pistol. The actual part of the gun that locks the slide open is properly called the "slide stop" or "slide release." "
and your...GX4?
LOL
Sold it.
Your complaining about peoples words............ and it 's called rounds not bullets...............LMAO TOUCH"E
I call them BOOLITS. ;-)
@@SquireSCA Haha young sir !!! lol
Duh. They are bullets!
@@sycamorebacker1 Yeah, I mean it says bullets on the box. lol
That mag release is not my jam .
Yeah, its a bit different than most of the guns in the US, but it does work well and its near impossible to trip it by accident.
